Nice! I really like games like this where you're "inside the code". And the sound effects are great! Wish we could all debug our code by yelling pew pew pew at the screen XD great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Making the sound effects was a lot of fun.

Fun an very original.

Great idea!

I always enjoy these kinds of games that work code and "gaining functionality during gameplay" into the game itself, very cool! Also love the aesthetics, very nicely done there :)

Will make the code work.

Got to the point with the code FindObjectOfType<GameSession>().SetTreeClimb(true); For what ever reason my character can’t climb and pressing space would result in a squat and not a jump. So I am just stuck there. Not sure if that’s a feature or a bug.

Developer

Definitely a bug, thanks for reporting! I'll do a little digging and see what I can find.

This is an awesome approach to making games!

This is a very clever approach to a platformer game. I bet there's all sorts of cool mechanics you could explore here. You should keep going with this concept! Great job on your submission.

Developer

Thanks ivanlanc! I'm thinking about making a sequel in the near future and expanding on the concepts.

Very interesting game, I think the visual style, mechanics approach and how to progress the levels are done in a unique way and you did a really nice job on this game!

Making a game about programming fun is certainly a great achievement, even if you don't have to code in the game itself. It is also really cool how you managed to create some non-ASCII art that actually fits into the theme. Additionally, this game is full of the exaggerated swagger of a solo programmer rapidly going insane.

Awesome original concept. It's cool to activate/deactivate the code. The Jurassic Park farting theme was just.... wow.

Developer

Thanks terranasor! Glad you liked the game!

That piece was performed by my grandmother, she is currently on tour in Europe

This is a really unique game! Great job on this. I see that you mentioned in another comment you may do a sequel and expand upon the idea. I hope you do as this is a really cool concept!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a bunch! It feels great to know people like the game and concept. The support for a sequel is very encouraging!

I tried to shot the bee but I just can't kill it

Developer

Hey thanks for playing! Which bee was it? Do you have a screen shot? I'll check to see if there is a bug.

Very creative idea! You could do so many cool things with the mechanic that allows you to interact with the code. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed! This was my first Unity game, I'm thinking about making a sequel and expanding on the idea.
