Cool concept, the difficulty rises a bit fast for me though.

I had a lot of fun with this! I enjoyed the customisation of my character. I thought the detail of the background getting more apocalyptic to represent remaining HP was a fantastic idea. The mechanics are great too, and I liked the upgrade system. The global leaderboard was a really nice touch which is something I have wanted to do with some of my own games. 10/10 well done!

This game is fun! The leader board is a nice touch

What an experience!!! Firstly thought that it would be a simple and boring game but when the first meteor ricocheted from the second one and then the third one, there was a click! Nice job you guys! Also, the idea of making it competitive makes it even better)

Amazingly fun yet simple game! The upgrade system added the perfect amount of depth and variability to the core mechanics without being overwhelming. The visuals were aesthetically pleasing and fit the theme spot on. I will be back to make a run at the scoreboard!

Very well polished and solid game. I'm gonna come back and try to put my name on the scoreboard o7

I loved this game, with the concept and the visuals it was really fun to play, I would probably use this as my aim trainer!

It's perfect Semicolonkid , cheyenne.deloach you guys are now my inspiration. Hope there will be a exe build too it's my favourite game now. So that I can play whenever I want without reinstalling like web build

Developer

Currently, we plan to develop the game for mobile, where it will be downloadable on your phone. For PC, we may release an exe but I'm not sure.

Thanks for playing, and thanks so much for the kind words!!

I like the mechanics of fast planning to redirect the meteors and causing chain reactions without damage to the ground, is something easy to understand but very hard to do perfectly, for now I didn’t go too far score-wise this time, but I will return later to try again. I can see the potential, please keep going and good work!

Great game all around! The upgrades were a nice addition and well designed as more defense or more scoring potential, but in unique ways.  Just had a couple small bugs: having to click back into the window after upgrading and when I tried switching to fullscreen midgame, I couldn't move to the edges of the screen but increasing mouse sensitivity fixed it.

This has some of the best mechanics designs in the jam for sure! The chain reactions are super fun and the fact that your direction relative to the meteors matters is quite clever and makes for quite some interesting gameplay situations. Unfortunately, the controls felt very sluggish to me somehow. I wish the character just directly followed my system mouse. It often lags around in a certain spot before suddenly zipping over but it also generally doesn't match up with my expected mouse speed, even if I change the settings ingame. But that really is about the only area that I think isn't so great. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this title. The upgrade options were also a really nice touch and made the game a lot better.

Developer

Hmm, the lagging and zipping is not a behavior we've observed before, that's unfortunate. We have a note on the game page to play with Hardware Acceleration enabled if you're playing on Chrome, is it possible you have that turned off?

I THINK setting the mouse sensitivity to max is supposed to follow your native mouse speed perfectly or close to it, but my buddy (the programmer) will probably wanna weigh in here.

In any case, thanks so much for the kind words, and we're glad you were still able to get some enjoyment from playing! Appreciate the feedback too! :)

Oh I'm a Firefox user. Also it's not the whole game lagging, just specifically the character. When I set the sensitivity to max, the character moves significantly faster than my mouse but still somehow feels unresponsive like it's a frame behind my inputs or something. It's hard to pinpoint but it feels off to the point where I find it causing difficulties with keeping up with the action.

And yeah it was very enjoyable otherwise, I really like your game design :)

Fun game! Seems like the pterodactyl position is based on mouse movement instead of the mouse position, so i ran into an issue with that after the first menu popped up where i just could move to certain areas. overall fun though and looked great!

Developer

Yeah, there's an annoying bug with Unreal Engine web games where bringing up any sort of menu "releases" the mouse. To fix this, you have to click on the game again after you've chosen your upgrade, and it should recapture the mouse.

Thanks for playing! :)

Really cute game, with a nice progression system and adorable graphics. Pterodactyyyyyyl to the rescue!!!

Such a super polished and pretty game! Absolutely on theme. I love that you made so much cohesive and lovely art and that it matters where you click the meteor.

Submitted(+1)

Very fun and engaging game! I loved the story setup, the cute dinos and the well balanced gameplay, which felt fair but still provided ample challenge. The upgrades were creative and enjoyable to try! Well done on your submission!

Very cute dinosaurs. Solid implementation.

Mind sharing what did you use for the leaderboards?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!  I saw your game is using Godot, this plugin should work for you.

Very neat! I didn't make it into the top leaderboard, but I was close!

Submitted(+1)

Liked the detail with bouncing the meteors as well as the upgrades. I thought it's even a bit unique and it was pretty fun as well, nice job on the game!

What a cool concept! I love pterodactyls, so getting to play as one is awesome! (and choose your color) It's the little things in life :)

Submitted(+1)

Brilliant. Missile Command meets Asteroids. Make it vertical and your finger controls the pterodactyl and this concept absolutely has a home on mobile devices.

Developer

Currently, that's honestly exactly the plan! Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for playing!!
