Fun game! Has very nice music.

Developer

Thank you!

A good game with pleasant music and graphics.
I did end up sailing almost empty and sank once while I was still figuring out the mechanics and controls =))
By the way, when that happens, you respawn without any money and have to just wait around.
A "depart" button would be quite useful in this case :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! You can actually leave any time you want by going to the anchor and pressing space (or gamepad equivalent). Seems we still have some bugs regarding the reset of some variables, thanks for helping us know where to look!

Submitted(+1)

Oh, I didn’t notice that :D
But I recommend adding this to the game description then. Just in case)

Developer(+1)

You're right, I've updated it

Hi again) i think you  have a typo in the description
"and press space (or keyboard equivalent) "
instead of "(or gamepad equivalent)"

Developer

Right you are!

Submitted(+1)

The game is really fun, and the music and graphics fit perfectly. I really enjoyed it, and I'm impressed by how much you've accomplished in such short time! Great job!

Developer

Thanks!

Nice song in the background :)

Took me a short time to figure out how it works :)

Developer

Thanks! Yes we didn't manage to make an in-game tutorial so all the commands are on the game-page, which isn't great :P

Very impressive game!

Developer

Thanks!

Insane that you managed to do all this for the game jam. Very, very well executed. I'd like the river part to be much shorter. The loading part is much more fun, imo, in comparison. I'm really impressed. Also this is the #1 theme game for me. Congrats!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback! We can definitely have a closer look at the balance between the two gameplays, for now the river part is a lot longer for sure.

Really fun game that feels rewarding once you get the hang of it, did encounter a bug where I lost then kept my money + load from the previous run.

Developer

Thanks for playing! We'll hunt down that bug once the jam is over, happy to hear you liked it enough to play again after a game over :D

Great idea, well done game !

Developer

Thank you!

Awesome combination of mechanics. It has strategic planning and real time action at the same time

Developer

Thank you, we've been wanting to make a game with two types of gameplay for a while, happy you enjoyed it!

very fun to play!

very fun to play!

Very clever idea in how the cargo affects the movement of the ship! The art during the travel was super pretty!

Developer

Thanks, took us a while to come up with a mechanic to fit the theme but we think it was worth the wait :D

Submitted(+1)

Cool graphics, I love the mechanics idea about maintaining the cargo balance, and balance steering of the ship. Its well polished!

Developer

Thank you  for the kind words!

Submitted(+1)

Awesome! it's quite difficult to drive the ship if you plan badly with cargo but thats how it is supposed to be

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yes we wanted to underline the importance of balancing out the cargo (I still feel it's a bit too easy to get a balanced load, but then again i spent the last 10 days playtesting that mechanic :P )

Submitted

oh i didn't see you could rotate with q and e, that's why it was difficul

Submitted

Now that I know i can rotate it is much less frustrating for sure! One thing i don't like (may be just me) is how strongly the current pulls you in the direction of the river

Submitted

Ok it was still skill issue, it was just about how little i was tilting the boat. A bug i found is that when i restarted the game i had 000 money

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, we'll get on that bug once the rating is done. The current of the river is something we didn't have time to exploit as much as we would have liked, but maybe that's for the best since it can make the game quite difficult as you say, and it might have ended up a bit too hard :P

Cool game!

Developer

Tahnks!

Submitted(+1)

What an innovative game! The graphics and atmosphere are so cool.

Developer

Thanks!

I was a bit confused by the bindings on boat, but outside of that... Damn, that game has a lot of charm ! The graphics and the overall ambiance is so nice ! Really enjoyed it!

Developer

Thanks! By 'bindings  on boat' do you mean the controls during the navigation phase? Could you elaborate a bit on that? Would love to get your feedback ;)

Submitted(+1)

Yes sorry for the confusion ! At first I didn't see the boat rotating when pressing Q and E, so I thought it didn't work and thought the only way to maneuver the ship was to actually row sideways. Also at first, the fact that I wasn't on a qwerty keyboard added to the confusion ^^

Developer

Oh yes, should have written that in the description, for the movement it maps to the physical position on a qwerty keyboard, so the letters are wrong if you're on something else (but the layout stays the same). Thanks for the feedback, will make sure to clarify that in the future :D

Submitted(+1)

I love the aesthetics of this game and the way it incorporates the theme. Great job!

Developer

Thanks a bunch!
