Hey there, I played your game again in a new video. Feel free to check it out!

For the open source category, you'll need to have a README file and License file.

This is such a funny concept. I love that there were GIANT chairs and locked doors. Maybe make the first level easier by only having to go through say one door, just to get the hang of the physics and controls. It's really good though and you thought about how to implement things. Funny take on the balance theme, kudos.

Thank you for the kind words and the helpful reminder! I'm currently working on adding the proper README and LICENSE files, and updating the repository to fully comply with the licensing and jam requirements. Really glad you enjoyed the concept—I'll definitely consider making the first level a bit more accessible. 😊

Awesome and good luck for your future projects and jams.

Played your game in my Let's Play video!

Hey man! Thanks for playing! I watched your video and yeah some mechanics are a bit obscure atm, we skimped on some tutorial stuff to reach the deadline but the full game will probably include a more explainatory first round (or tutorial level) and more tooltips! The reason you kept dying "randomly" is because the character loses balance the more you get dizzy by moving (indicated by how distorted/blurry the screen gets and how dampened the audio gets unless you have the powerup!). You just need to stand still to regain control at the moment, we want to include more ways to regain balance in the full game tho.

Nice game, i didn't managed to go in bed :)) but i like how the level got randomly generated

Wow! Such a fun game!
Is this a new (sub-)genre? Wasn't aware of the existance drunk walking simulators... :-)

Very well made game! Congrats!

Love the diving mechanic, really good use of ragdolls. I also dig the visuals, they have an almost backroom feel to them, really nice!

Developer

Thanks! yes the "backroom feel" was subtly intended, nice it was noticeable!

I enjoyed this game's mechanics! Sometimes the jump can miss its mark but I found it pretty fun. Also, the powerups were very useful and I love the Easter eggs.

Update: I got to level 6 and it started to feel like a horror game. I wish I didn't have to restart from level 1, but I liked the increasing puzzles.

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! I was thinking on maybe giving the opportunity to retry from the last level, maybe as a powerup. What easter eggs did you find?
There also is a save feature, if you leave the game and the come back to it you will keep your progression and powerups!

Submitted(+1)

Ah I didn't realize I could save. Some of the Easter eggs I found were the laptop with your face, the underwater environment outside the window, and I forgot the rest.

One of the best game I've played. And they've a real challenge of quality games in this jam.

Developer

Thanks for the compliments!
if you notice the games has save feature you can get back to it and not lose your progress!

Great Idea !!! I was wondering if others can pass the first round why am I passing out so quickly, after playing several rounds I realized I could stop the dizziness by stopping XD

Developer

Yeah, the drunken walking is a bit hard to master, after hours of playtesting now i can run through levels without noticing!

Impressive game !  I never been that happy to see a bed !

Developer(+1)

I know, the bed feels so good until you realize it only leads to deeper dream drunk walking!

This is way too realistic! And who keep nailing my doors shut?

Developer

There is a guy that likes to nail your doors shut and push you to the ground, did you manage to meet him? i hope not! (only spawns after round 3 and only if you have some powerups)
if you notice the games has save feature you can get back to it and not lose your progress!

I like those kind of games, funny but the mechanics are well done, thank for the source.  Seen drunk mechanics for AAA games less accurate then that lol.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, like half of the development time was on the drunk walking and drunk falling and drunk getting up! glad you liked it! what round did you manage to achieve? if you notice the games has save feature you can get back to it and not lose your progress!

Nailed the concept here! Got into a rhythm where I could just walk for a few seconds then stand still and the game became a bit of a walking simulator (i never ran into the hoover). great execution for two weeks overall 👏🏻

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I get the part about walking simulator and the "trick" about walking and then stopping, we hoped that given the dungeon crawler features one would try and "speedrun" through the levels. Same thing for the hoover, he spawns only ar higher levels and only 50% of the times.
