great art, pretty empty levels so far. I found it weird that I didn't have to kill the enemies - I just go to the gate press E - game over. But I think the vibe is definitely there - the first time I destroyed a barrel my browser froze up for a good 5 seconds. Anyways very ambitious for a game jam, it has a lot of potential!

oh yeah, that barrel did'nt work as planed, but we are working on that, and the enemy AI as well, great tip on the Gate, we will work on something after the jam.

I'd say you have a good foundation to build a nice game upon! At  the current state it feels quite empty and easy, but I really like the looks of it! Keep on working on it and this one could be awesome :)

I guess your barrel crushing sound has extreme loading times. Either pre-load it or just fix the file.

Art was good but enemy AI was nearly non existent. Fighting made the game worse. Since there was no fighting there was no game mechanics left to discuss.

The sfx for the envirioment was add by the end of the jam, not much time to test the things, but i will fix that, using your suggestions, thanks for the feedback.

The most gorgeous artwork I've seen this entire jam, seriously impressive work if this was done for the jam. I finished the game but I think hit a but where enemies wouldn't hit back on level 2. Overall, looks like a great beginning of an epic action rpg game. Hope you guys take the time to continue it!

Great artwork! However, I couldn't progress in the game. Should we have more than one level?

Thanks man, for the levels we have two, but neither of them are as good as planed, we will work on that after the jam, it was my first experience with level design...

Great sprites. Nice ambience.

Was there supposed to be more than 1 level? It felt like I killed all the lizards then was stuck in an empty room. I was expecting the gate to open, but it didn't. Was I supposed to pull a lever or press a button or something?

You're supposed to tap E in front of the gate. Sorry for that, we'll get this feedback to add more instructive elements to the game.

Always glad to see a fellow connoisseur of Godot and Aseprite! Your art on this game is fantastic, great work with that. In particular, the title screen is gorgeous. I also love the music, wonderful dungeon synth. The UI is also super easy to parse and matches the style of the game. 

I think there some bugs with the enemies. It seemed like if I hit one, the damaged animation played on all enemies, and sometimes they wouldn't detect the player character, or would continue attacking in a direction after the player had moved.

This is a great start, I love the environment artwork and the little flourishes like the barrels shaking.

I kinda disagree with the earlier commenter, I think the lizards getting stuck on the environment is interesting, especially when you can sort of build a trap for them by selectively destroying crates. In a full game you could really expand on that by letting the player push crates around.

One thing that did feel lame though was that the lizards didn't react to being attacked from behind. If sneaking up on them let me get one free hit in, that would be one thing, but beating the entire level like that?

Alright, so a couple of things here.

The AI of the doesn't seem to be aware of the environment, I ended up getting them stuck in columns so that I could just kill them easily. It might be worth for your dev to look into path find with the environment, it's not that hard to setup and it's a really good skill to have as a game dev.

Adding some sort of knockback to the enemy on hit, and some way to telegraph their attacks would make the fights a lot more interesting.

The visuals are great, everything works together well, and it brings a lot to the world. If the fighting mechanics were as polished, this could be a very nice game :)

Hey man, thanks for the feedback, we will work on the bugfix in the AI we do have pathfinding but does'nt work because of the way that was coded, but we will fix that by the end of the week, and we will continue to work on the game after the jam and add some features, like de knockback, for the enemy and for the player as well.

this is a great start to something i can see becoming really rich and interesting! the character movement feels really good and responsive and the character moves at a good speed. the art looks amazing and music sounds great! i think the gameplay could be engaging and challenging with a bit more work. overall, this is has some really great bones and i hope you continue working on it!

Great pixel art, I love the palette, clear and readable.

The AI seemed a little buggy maybe? Made it hard to get a good read on combat. Needs some work to get that finished feel but a strong start. I wish you the best on your game development journey!

one of the nicest pixel art I've seen so far. would love to see some health items or something in the destructible boxes and improvements to the AI if you were to keep working on it. great work.

This game had me excited and looked and played nicely, just the enemies and any other content kind of was lacking. The enemies when they did took a very long time to react and I could pretty much walk through to the door and move on with out needing to do much. Perhaps you mentioned this on you page if so sorry - I hope you get the enemy AI part sorted and add more this could be a pretty cool game.

Thanks for the comment. We are working to fix enemy AI. Our intention was for them to really react faster, unfortunately we were unable to resolve some bugs in time to submit the game for the jam.
