Nice take on pinball and you ultimately ended up with a very polished-feeling game which is great. The addition of the scaling mechanic was a good inclusion and the sound effects fit really well too. If there was any feedback I'd give it's that some of the models seemed a bit too plain and there are less effects than you would typically see in a pinball game, but both of those are very minor things that don't detract from the fun in anyway. Great entry and take on the theme!

Nice pinball reactions. The collisions worked real well for me.

This game is interesting, I like how the smaller the ball the more difficult it gets to control it. Nice work.

Solid little pinball game, although a few times the pinball would seem to go through objects (including my flipper) at fast speeds.

Love pinball! Cool to see it in a game jam, nicely done!

I love pinballs, and even if this is a very simple one, i find it very nice, but i have a few problems that keep me from playing. The physics seems a little janky and sometimes the ball goes through the paddles. And i don't know why but the camera movement has a weird smoothness to it that after sometimes makes me a little motion sick. (may just be me though)

A good pinball with a nice twist!

Maybe the gravity is a bit too low, I would have preferred a more fast and challenging experience!

But still,  I had fun! :)

Good theme implementation but i could not beat it, as the ball would get too small and collisions with paddles would freak it out or sometimes cause it to glitch through the paddles, and it would always happen with the last 2 gems remaining.

An interesting twist to pinball using scale, well done, I'm loving it!

Great job! Very fun being able to control paddles at different levels to keep the game going and the sound effects all fit very nicely. I liked the idea of collecting the gems while playing the game. It was a great way to connect the game to the theme.

Very nice take on a classic! Plays very smooth and interesting to see the ball get smaller.

I'm sorry for what I did but when I saw the leaderboard I wanted to see if you had protected it like I did my game but unfortunately you didn't, I hope you can erase my score and you won't be angry ;P

Otherwise your game is very cool and really fun and my real best score is 13325 ^^

Haha totally no worries! You are correct we did not add any extra encryption to the score sent, secret keys, honey pots or obfuscations within the game itself, or server side checks on the data once it arrives. But I would love to implement all of that one day for an improved leaderboard system. Unity's UGS Leaderboards by default don't have much protection, in my discussions with them about this they have told me to send the data to Cloud Code and do some server side checks on the data (in addition to what I wrote before). I'm glad you tried to send up some scores, I love this! I removed it per your request :)

oh man, that's great! We had a feeling someone might try something haha. It's just a game jam and we did this for fun, so if you enjoyed yourself "hacking" in , I count that as a win in my book!

This was nicely done! Camera movement felt like it worked against the gameplay more than with it. And the ball scale change was a little too subtle in my playthrough. But overall, nice job!

Nicely done. It feels polished and smooth. I did manage to get stuck by having the ball sit on top of the wood by the paddles, but honestly that kind of made it more entertaining.

Cool little pinball experience.

Did you actually make the backend to be able to have a working Leaderboard? Or is it just random? I'd be curious to know how you made it, I'd like to integrate something like that in one of my game.

At first, I didn't notice the scale of the ball changing, would be nice if there was power ups or some sort of events when you light up certain lights that could make you bigger, or like a multi ball or something like that.

But overall, I like the experience, the music was chill, the sfx are nice, the camera movement really nice, it's a nice little game!

Thanks! Yes it is a working leaderboard. It is made using Unity's newer leaderboard service that is a part of UGS (Unity Gaming Services). I think it is still technically in beta but is usable now. Honestly they made it verry easy to setup a leaderboard - here are the docs - https://docs.unity.com/ugs/en-us/manual/leaderboards/manual/leaderboards . I was going to post a little how to video one of these days, I'll let you know if I do. The way it is setup now the data goes directly to the leaderboard from the game using their API. But a better recommended way is to send it to Unity's Cloud Code to do some checks on the data then send it to the leaderboard from there (to help with cheat prevention).

I liked that the ball scale naturally scaled the difficulty as well. The board looks nice, and I was surprised by how well the camera worked.

The the first flipper sound gave me a startle xD

Cute little game, reminds me of my times as a child playing the default pinball in Windows XP 😄

The only thing that I'd change is making the ball heavier/less floaty, but it's a minor inconvenience 😊

Ahhh, good old pinball. The overall game feel of the game is great. The camera didn't convince me at first, but after some time I got use to it. The scale changes of the ball are not very noticeable.

My final score is 14480. It was fun :)

Fun board. I really liked the wooden feel. When I played I didn't actually notice the ball changing size.
