Theme interpretation
In addition to featuring a literal "moonshot" in the opening scene, this was a very ambitious project for us since we are new to game development.

I managed to complete the game, the powerups were a good incentive to keep playing. good job!

I love to hear that you made it to the end!

Looked and sounded nice! I really liked the build up of your character as they collect the lights, good level design and some addictive gameplay :)

Pretty fun- loved the graphics, and thought the mechanics were pretty interesting and worked well with the level design :)

This is a fantastic game. Great level design, excellent gameplay, lovely atmosphere. A nice mix of mechanics in the powers you get, too.

My first impression wasn’t so great, because the jumping seemed really sluggish—and good handling is vital to a platformer, of course—but then I figured out that it’s intentional, since you jump better as you collect more light. Just putting that out there in case anyone else thinks the same as I did!

A solid 5 for gameplay for you. It wasn't perfect, I think the character could use being a little bit faster, and the controls could use a little more polish. Also, the game is also unplayable with a controller (for some reason, it doesn't go up to top speed on the controller, making some jumps impossible right on the first level). I think the real stars here are the level design and the gravity field ability interacting with everything. The exploratory nature of the levels and open endedness made for a great game in my opinion. Graphics, sound and story were great at building that atmosphere as well. In all honesty, the best game I've played so far. My game was also an exploration based platformer. Controls could use a little bit more polish too, but I think you would like it if you were to check it out (and I definetely could use your feedback!). Great job!

Sorry to hear about your problems with the controller.  At the start of Level 1 Lumi is still too weak to reach the first  light orb, but gains jump height and movement at a later point and can come back to it .  I wonder if that is what you experienced.  This was an intentional design decision, but I can see how it might be confusing.

No, I found all the light balls but couldn't make the jump to one of them, the one on the upper floor with some enemies. I just couldn't make the jump, then I switched to keyboard and immediately made it. With some testing, I realized Lumi moved faster with the keyboard than with the controller. So I just finished the game with the keyboard.

This game has a lot going for it: A nice intro, cute story, good progression and the level gets more enlighten as the player progresses. The player gaining more strength and stats as he collects stuff in the level is a clever and fun mechanic. You said in the info that you guys are new to game dev, well, that makes it even more impressive. Amazing job on your game :)

It was really good, gameplay has a lot of different features and level design simply amazing (really liked backtracking and hidden places)

Really awesome! The platforming felt fantastic, really well designed. I loved how you gradually got the player used to the mechanics in the earlier parts using the level design. Each new movement tech added felt like it was perfectly timed, they were given just as the player got used to the last one. Very well thought out!

The visuals are amazing. Even with no words said Lumi's personality shows through as well the enemy characters. The audio is top notch as well, although some of the sound effects are a bit too loud compared to the rest (gravity field for example). The music had my attention the whole time and set the tone perfectly.

Really amazing entry for the jam and really awesome game overall. Hope you place well in the jam, your game deserves the attention.

This is a very unique and fun platformer game! I wasn't sure how to undo my mistake on level 2 when I missed the 2 lights on the long fall, I'm not sure how I missed those since they were dead center. I really like how Lumi (great name btw) glows more as you collect lights and can jump higher. Great game!

Lumi is very cute. Bosses are fun and actually quite tough. I also like the details like the shots and animals being affected by gravity fields. Only thing i struggled with were the spiders, sometimes I got stuck on top of them and couldn't really move. Overall good game!

Had a great time playing through this. Enjoyed the variation in the levels and the metroidvania-esque backtracking to complete each stage with acquired powerups. Levels did well teaching you how to use each ability intuitively.

Camera was really nice, zooming in and out where appropriate whilst focussing on specific platforming "screens". The scene at the beginning as well as the ongoing text popups helped a lot with giving the game a little narrative as you go along too.

Look forward to seeing your next submissions!

Lovely job on this game! Made it all the way to the end. It was fun unlocking new abilities to play around with, and I liked traversing around with them. One of my favorite moments was in the dark tunnels when the camera closed in, really helped make one feel more lost and tense there. There was a nice amount of variation in the design of the levels. Also, having the credits appear in the moon was a cool touch!

Really enjoyed this!  Had to use keyboard and struggled way more than I would have liked.  :-)

I like how Lumi got brighter as you grabbed the little lights, and increasing the jump height from it as well was a nice touch.. Very cute concept.   Good luck!

You guys did a great job on this game! Camera movement is spot on, the abilities were both fun, and used to the fullest extent when it comes to progressing the levels. Which brings me to my favorite part about this game, the level design. The levels  had a lot of variation, and as I said were built well around the abilities. The art is awesome as well. The little glowing eyes on all the enemies, along with the soft glow coming off of Lumi was a very nice touch. All in all, great game. You got 5 stars from me!
