That was a really fun entry. You did a really good job taking the lying idea and running with it, I was totally ready for that racing game :D The graphics were fantastic and the audio design was great too. Nice job!

Amazed by the quality of the graphics/controls and sound for a jam game - will need help picking up my jaw off the floor! I did feel a bit cheated by some of the traps in the game - like in lvl 1 where the first exit door crushes you and the second one lets you through... Maybe I missed a visual cue?

Amazing game! It's very pretty! I got a little frustrated to find the right exit in some levels, but I didn't punch the screen
Lol I really wanted to play a racing game :P Well done, the controls feel pretty tight and the lies are done well. I do wish the vertical camera follow speed was increased - when falling you can't tell where you will land because the character is at the bottom of the screen very quickly..

Love the aesthetic! I usually get frustrated at this type of game but the double jump helps a lot and gives you a way out when the game tries to trick you. I wish the camera showed further in front of the player, I ended up taking it very slowly, apart from that it was quite fun. Good job!

The art is consistent and pretty well done in general. The animations are a little lacking, particularly on the protagonist. For instance, jumps have no animation that I can tell. The only incoherent bit of art is the PFX on the double jump. The particle texture chosen doesn't match the toony look of the rest of the game.
The game design is about memorising which doors lead to death and trying the other ones.
The capsule collider on the character causes him to be slippery near platform edges. This makes the platforming less enjoyable. There is no grace jump or modular jump height either. A generally pretty poor feeling character controller. The level design masks this decently, as platforms are frequently easy to reach with single or double jumps, which is a good idea, because this platformer is primarily focused on puzzles, not action.
The dialogue in the game sticks to the theme, but the ruse becomes old quickly. It's one thing to lie, it's quite another to do it to the point where it's impossible to distinguish deception from sarcasm. I ignored all the text bubbles pretty much from the off.
The game sells itself as a racing game, which it isn't. I would have much preferred to see a racing game within the theme. Obviously this was done on purpose, but, while it makes sense with the theme, I didn't really enjoy experiencing this.
Overall an alright entry. Once played, there is nothing to go back to though.
I'm a race bird here, so I was expecting a race game..... Until I remembered the theme of the jam was "THE GAME IS A LIAR."
So I got pretty disappointed. Good job, you've done good.
Aaaaaaaaaanyway, Really nice entry! Reminded me of those rage games I played years ago. I like where the exit of the final level is.... definitely made me face palm myself. Though, there might be too many in my opinion. Some people just don't want to search for too long before they actually quit.
