In what way does your game fit the theme?
The game is about reconnecting Humanity by building networks between nodes, many of which give you more tiles to place. The deeper connection to the theme is a secret until the end!

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes except for the sound files which are CC0 or credited.

Fantastic puzzle game! I don't often play puzzlers so I find them a bit tricky but the difficulty curve and progression in your game was great. The last two levels were tough and had me thinking but it was enjoyable and made me want to keep playing till I beat it! Nice little reveal at the end there too.

Only thing I could suggest as an improvement would be to have an 'undo turn' button just to go back one step, rather than resetting the whole level. All round though one of my favourite puzzle games for quite a while. Fun to play, well designed, fitting of the theme and looked good. Well done! :)

Being my first real puzzle game, your words are too kind! Thanks a million

Pretty good puzzle game. That last one had me hating the trees trying to get the ending.....haha... well played

An extremely well-designed puzzle game, loved it! Made it till the 11th level but couldn’t beat it yet, maybe I’ll try another time :) Great job!

Thanks very much!

What a cool puzzle game and take on the theme! Well done on the level design, a lot of the levels had me thinking. It really keeps your attention throughout. If there was a bit more time, it would've been cool to have more sfx surrounding tiles and maybe even another song in the back! Well done!

Developer

Thanks :)

I enjoyed this! Good puzzle game . I did find a small bug in one of the levels. I connected both things and it still didn't complete the level. It wasn't until I connected the part that gives you the extra piece (the one on the right)that it completed the level.

Good work!

Here's the level I'm talking about:

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

If I'm reading you correctly, yeah its intentional you have to power all 3 of the nodes on that level

Ah, gotcha. For some reason I was thinking the nodes with the extra pieces were optional. Makes sense!

Hmm, I'm not seeing any way to run this on a mac? Looks fun, would love to try it.

*Edit: was able to play it on PC.

Overall, this was a fun puzzle game! I do wish there was more feedback upon correct or incorrect placements. The artwork & audio were decent, I felt that the music was incredibly loud and I wish there was more music! Enjoyed the concept and the message. Looking forward to your feedback!

Darn Unity seems to say its standalone is for pc, mac, and linux, but I guess I've misunderstood. I'll definitely look into an html5 build next time. Thanks for playing!

This is a nice little  puzzle game that feels very polished and well executed. It felt real bad crushing the little houses and animals which I  think is what you were going for. Real great submission!

Much thanks :)

This overall a pretty good little puzzle game. For me some of the solutions felt a bit random, but it was not a big issue. Overall a pretty good jam game.

Great take on the puzzle genre.  Simple in its design and challenging at the same time. That last level had me scratching my head for a good 15 minutes. Loved how the environmental message provided an extra challenge to the player as well. Great job!

Developer

Thanks :)

Really fun game. The elephant head level was very difficult, I enjoyed it.  The difficulty slide was spot on, the trees took a minute to wrap my head around by the last level it was no big deal.  Spot on, great game, high marks for you, saved to collection and followed.

Developer

High praise, I am honored!

Enjoyed the experience, especially the music, really fits with the atmostphere, and i like how you added an optional goal to not cause destruction when building the nodes, it adds a goal to those who wanted to stick around but its optional that other people who wanted to finish the game without spending too much time can ignore it, and to me its amazing how you can construct a puzzle like this in just 7 days, some very hard levels in the end, and i cannot even imagine how can i pass though every level without causing damage to the lifeform(probably just me because im quite bad at puzzles), the only thing that i suggest would improve is the UI, but the depth of the puzzle makes up for it, for a 7 day game this is great.  I haven't finished this but i will surely revisit it in sometime soon.

Thank you very much! My puzzle design secret in this case was to just start laying down tiles, put a random mix of tiles in the inventory, and see what happens haha. Also, making some difficult levels as I developed, than going back and making the tutorial levels once I had a good grasp on the gameplay.

And don't worry, some damage is unavoidable which was on purpose. You could also go for max damage! (30 habitats)

Wow! I usually just get a general idea but I really wanted to play yours through. Some levels were so hard! I mean is it EVEN POSSIBLE to beat the game without losing any people or destroying any wildlife? (because there is a house blocking the only path through the mountains and wildlife everywhere in some levels ... I'm guessing the intent was to make it impossible to avoid all collateral damage, which, saddens the idealist in me)

Amazing use of a tetris mechanic and it really frustrated me (in a good way) when I couldn't get past some levels (elephant and final level YEESH). The music did get a little annoying after a while... some variety would have been nice but I get that the music came from other sources.

I like the use of the theme as a "lesson learned" but personally I like mechanics -- though to be fair, Tetris is stronger together in the sense that they combine so I gave some leeway there. Honestly the puzzle mechanic was fantastic and I can't ask more for a week's time.

Amazing job!

Developer(+1)

You're too kind!

*Spoilers*

The minimum number of 'habitats' possible I found to be 6. And that certainly is intentional considering any land development like this would displace at least some wildlife. And I am kind of getting away with a loose theme connection to the gameplay, because the real connection is that Life on Earth is stronger together!

I liked the game ! And the story about reconnecting the world together, it's just a bit sad I have to destroy forest and walk over animals for that, poor little monkey haha 🐵

I like the graphics, simple and yet clear enough for us to understand the board.
I also liked the progression and addition of new interesting mechanics step by step with clear example level.
I got a bit lost at first on because I wanted to put my tiles in advance, unconnected to the powered node or link, and I couldn't in spite of having the "free space" for it. Then I understood it had to be begin from the powered node, not anywhere, and of course that's part of the puzzle mechanic. Maybe it's just me, if not maybe add a small text about it on the beginning.
Another thing that could be good is a "undo" button along with or instead of the "restart" button, to undo just the last move. It makes the users experience less frustrating when putting a tile that in fact is not correct and having to put back all the tiles from the beginning. 👍
All in all great puzzle game thank you ! :)

Just came back and finished the game, The last level was haaaard but made it through and, welp .. I felt it hehe  :D I read that last message. 13/30 !

Developer

Hey that's awesome! I know I made that last level a doozy. Thanks for playing :D

Submitted(+1)

I spend quite time playing your game and it was really funny and challenging! I couldn't beat the elephant level, but the concept is really cool, and the animations are satisfying. I also liked the message before leaving the game!

Submitted(+1)

it was a very nice experience, it was to difficult for me I got stuck in the level with the H but I enjoyed very much, well done!!

Submitted(+1)

Hi n.n I really liked your idea. the mechanics work perfectly and the design fits the atmosphere you created.

I think the last level, or at least the level I got stuck in,  was too difficult for my personal taste. And background music would have helped to get more immersed on your game.

Overall, a nice experience.

Developer

Oh at the top-right is the music toggle button, maybe you turned it off by mistake?

Thanks for playing!

Fun and good puzzles, liked the introduction of the forest mechanic. Luckily my Tetris skills came in handy :D

Submitted(+1)

I actually stayed on this one way more longer than I expected haha

I was a bit confused by the UI at first, but when you understand the core gameplay of the game it's really fun to play ! I'd love to see it on mobile. :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a bunch! I had fun making it :D

Very nice, very hard  entry. Sound and art is fitting. Like it a lot. Love the message at the end of the game. I thought the animals were just added for visuals. I will try finishing it without harming any animals, 15 out of 30 in first run. Great game, well done.

Submitted(+1)

I really like the puzzles in this game and think the music and art serve well to make it an enjoyable and challenging experience. Well Done!
