In what way does your game fit the theme?
You are a commander of an army, defeat the enemy together with your army. the enemies are stronger, however they have you! Control your army and claim victory together!

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Most of the assets were made by me, this includes code, music, sound effect, and art, excluding the font, "Ander Hedge" by Jayvee Enaguas which you can find on dafont, a few premade assets by me were also used, such as sound manager code, and a few of the sound effects

This is an innovative game that definitely fits the theme! It really deserves more ratings as clearly a lot of work has gone into it and it's an ambitious project given the time frame. I love the concept of levelling and the huge war going on around me, commanding troops and the weapon abilities you can use. I found the game very difficult, it felt like no matter what I did the enemies kept coming and my forces were quickly overwhelmed. Perhaps a couple of simple stages with less units might have helped just to get the hang of things, but given the time frame you had to work with it's a solid submission for sure and a project that could definitely be extended upon once the jam is over.

Nice work :D

Hello, thank you for taking the time to play and rate my game! I actually planned to add more features in the game such as multiple levels, multiple heroes, but well i realized those were too much so i scrapped those, and yeah, i guess i don't really have playtest feedback from other people so i don't really know how the normal player will play the game and is it too hard or easy for them, and yeah as i said, probably a tutorial level would be a good idea with less stuff to pay attention to, i don't really know if i will continue this game, but if people insist and would like to see this game improved i will try to do so! Thank you for the feedback!

This is really cool! You should add some screenshots to show it off. I've tried it 5 times, could never quite turn the tide in my side's favor.

I've compiled some notes:

- Music during intro seems out of place.

-First playthrough I didn't realize how the tutorial messages worked so I was skipping past them haha.

-Some units appear glued in place and wouldn't follow me. If that's intended, maybe they should be in little guard towers or something.

-Took me awhile to realize I could charge up the abilities, at least 1 and 3.

- It was really hard not to take damage.

- Overall,I neither felt like the badass warrior nor the tactician directing my squad that I wanted to feel. With some tweaks to combat and balancing I think this would be really good!

EDIT: So I came back to the game which is kind of an endorsement in itself... and I won! Maybe the early game is important, because once you lose a tower you will just be outnumbered. Anyway, I had fun!

Hello! Thank you so much for the feedback!

-About the music, yeah this is the first time i made and put music in my game, and yeah i agreed, i dont know why i went with a major key for the menu and switched it in the battle theme, gotta learn more about it i guess.

-About the tutorial, yeah that was just a lazy part from me, don't know how to really make a good interactive tutorial with that and i don't want to shove the player with a bunch of text explaining how the rules work, so yeah thats what i went with, and its really hard to know the perspective of the player because i dont have anyone that can playtest, so i just thought they will figure it out, but well i guess thats something to learn for me

-Yes, this was intended, the archers were static, however i should put a more clear sign to it or maybe make them able to move when they are commanded

-Yes, the two dash abilities,  that was kind of a "bug" feature, that i couldn't figure out why it happened (lol) however i thought the ability to adjust how much force youre putting in your dash makes the ability a little bit more flexible to use within short and long range, however yeah i should add some indication to that

-Yes, i figured, and that's why i added a respawn mechanic, however yes, the attack area of enemies isn't really clear

-Yeah, i overscoped some stuff on the first day on this project, but then kinda lost the spirit to make it, so i wasted a lot of time on cancelled features, so i don't really have much time to playtest and balance the game and feel the overall experience myself

Thank you for taking the time to revisit the game and taking the time to beat it!Yes i figured the early game is important, however to make it so that player don't restart everytime they lose a tower, the late game can also be won by leveling up, making a comeback in the late game, thank you for playing the game, giving some very usefull feedback, and im glad you had fun!
