Really nice idea! Great implementation of the music. Would love it if you checked out our music focused game as well :D

Very clever idea and excellent execution, its a lot of fun to play, even if I lost a couple of times and have to start from beginning. I'm bad at click-on-the-beat but maybe was because de webgl version. I downloaded to try again later the standalone version. Congrats, awesome game!
OK, this was great.
But, I need to point out a few things.
- I got fame really quick, which kind of prevented me from getting into the flow. I was grooving and having fun, and then I had to stop and click. Which was fun in the start, but real quick I just stop caring as to what I got, as every single upgrade was good for me, execpet for the active ones. (Which replaced each other, so I had no reason to pick them.) I think a better way to implement this was having the additional members be outside of the stage and you need to go to them and interact in order to joing. This way you don't pause the flow. Enemies attack you, and you still need to dodge.
- Speaking of dodging. There was a lot going on on the screen, and the enemies projectiles didn't stand out and I couldn't see them, I just focused on attacking. Also, There was so much clothes on the floor which I didn't really had to dodge, I could just run to any clothes I see and attack. (I liked the special attack, and the boss' attacks too. I'm talking about the regular projectiles.)
- Coming back to my first point. After recruiting every member in the band, having to stop to recruit a fan is just pausing the game to click and return. It made me try and not get fame on purpose in order to not stop.
Also, there was a bug when recruting ( I noticed it only on the fans, but I assume it will be the same with the band.) If you click fast to recruit, you keep triggering the fade out animation of the recruiting menu.
I will mention again that this one was great. One of my favorites. Super fun.
The music is awesome. The sound design is amazing, I liked that every band member I get the music gets richer.
I would like to see to concept evolve with dashes (also time that with the music) and more complex enemies. Seems like a great game.
Well done!
Hello, glad you appreciated the game and the music :)
Yeah we totally agree that constant interruptions to get fans is not fun.
And we found the recruitment bug too late, too ^^"
As for the balancing issue, yeah, we agree that when you win, that's a massacre (cut by fan recruitments).
We discussed a lot about if we add a scaling of the fame or not. But the fact that it's also your health makes this not really desirable.
Anyway, thanks for the detailed feedback :)
It's awesome! love it and enjoyed playing it. The tutorials seem to be made in a hurry that it said "use 2, Q, S, D to move yes? Other than that, I don't find any problems that disturb the gameplay but I enjoyed and liked this game. Really epic game(especially the music).
I enjoyed it a lot! This is exactly my kind of music! I think the constant pausing hurt my experience with the game, sadly. I can't properly enjoy the music if the game pauses for me to pick a character every 10 seconds. Would've been nice to see a more seamless upgrade system. Other than that, it is a great game!
The concept is really cool, enjoyed playing. Also the funky music is awesome!
Yayy ! The crowd loves me ! :D
I think that one might be my favorite one so far ! Well, I'm a musician so my opinion might be biased. Maybe.
But I'm sincerely impressed with what you made in only one week. It felt so polished ! Might use a bit more balance, but overall it was great, really.
Good job to all the team !
Oh damn! This is such a cool concept! and oof, the art style is perfect! Plus the mechanics feel smooth and fun.
What a great job, congrats <3
Awesome artwork and effects! Loved this! Our team did something similar related to music with combat, though loving the crowd and the projectiles here!
I nailed it cause I play with the metronome most of the time. The 2nd time the music was off beat. Amazing game! But maybe too hard on the enemies.
Amazing game, it has a nice look, a really nice sound and is very fun to play. I loved being able to select my next upgrade, made me stop mid-game and strategize over which one would be the most effective for me. I also loved the final boss, was a really cool challenge dodging it and its minion flamethrowers/bombs.
My one complaint is that the game does not seem to punish you for just mindlessly spam clicking, which seems a bit counter-intuitive for a rhythm game. Would not mind some sort of a penalty for trying to shoot out of line to force the player to actually learn the rhythm. Other than that, very nice. :)
Thanks for testing and for your feedback :)
We also really liked the boss, the art was inspired of the little automated vacuum cleaner x)
I can understand that it would have been more of a rhythm game to punish off-beat attack, but we kinda wanted the rhythm to be just a bonus for the player. Rhythm game are a particular category since it won't be the same "difficulty" for everyone, some people feel the rhythm some other just don't. And some of our friends testers proved that to us haha. So we didn't want to exclude some people from having fun on our game because of that. But that was a big subject during this week hehe. Thank you !
Very nice looking game. At least I got new levels very fast so it broke the flow of the game but overall very well done.
👍
Just wow! I love the concept so much! It's very fun and I think it has a lot of potential
Always nice to see other rhythm-based games! Very polished game, in particular the UX and pixel art are top notch. The "act in rhythm" mechanic is a nice idea, and I would have like to see it be the central mechanic of the game. Perhaps some feedback on how close the player was (etc. "early!" or "late!" popups) would be nice.
Thanks for feedback !
Actually we had this coded, the games calculates it and gives "perfect", "great", "okay" on player attack, we could've had displayed as the damages and bonus displays.
But the web export ruined the music/image sync, and we don't want a player doing shot along with the music's beat getting flooded by "Missed" messages :/ Not really rewarding and frustrating x)
