Ranked from 40 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.
In what way does your game fit the theme?
Unwind the tether to get the treasure at the bottom of the well, then rewind quickly as the native inhabitants attempt to stop you escaping!
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, everything except the audio (which is properly licensed).

Really awesome way to use the Rewind them. Thoroughly enjoyed the humor and polish. Great work!
Unique and innovative take on the 'rewind' theme. While I've seen a lot of games using a rope for this jam, this was definitely the most interesting (and probably complex) implementation.
I did find the physics to be a little frustrating but I understand that one week is definitely not enough to get that feeling right.
The presentation, while simple, worked very well.
Looks to be inspired by Downwell which itself is a great game.
Great work overall!
Great game and very funny mechanics! Loved the breaking of the fourth wall) Art style reminded me of Downwell. Wonderful! One of the best games I've played during the jam
Very enjoyable game, and a unique take on the theme! The mechanics were interesting to play with, though I did have a bit of difficulty figuring out how to control my character enough to get onto the ledge at the start of the last level. Overall a great game, I would be interested to see more of it!
The combination of the graphics and the sound is great. The level design also was in point. I was a little bit confused in the beggining about how I control the movement.
Fantastic work! Wanna see more of your games!
The art with the limited palette is Top tier, the sound is amazing ,the design is amazing, and the mechanic itself is a great idea but it seems lacking or a bit off . I think it seemed a bit too clunky to get out unscathed or to truly avoid an enemy.
One of the better games from this jam, feels like an actual “game”. Good graphics, good sound, funny dialogue

The game is actually quite difficult but nonetheless, very interesting intrepretation of REWIND. Many submissions here, mine included, considered it as a time aspect so your submission is one of the more unique innovations of it.
I will say the game was quite mediocore for me - however maybe the gameplay just didn't stick with me. But there are many things to love about this game. I absolutely love the amount of polish you add to this game. The art direction was very concrete in this game and it shows within the spritework - amazing!
The physics was something I battle with and I occasionally find infuriating - especially when after collecting all that coin, just to lose it all from one single spike or one worm bite as I struggle just trying to get little Steve back to safety.
Otherwise - cool game. It didn't stick with me but that was maybe cause it wasn't my kind of game.
Thanks! I agree with you on all your points I think. The physics of the rope I was never happy with, it felt too elastic which made it too hard to control. That was mainly because of the limitations of the joint system in Godot, and I didn't have time to investigate way to improve it. Basically the rope is always the same length and just raised/lowered off the top of the screen. Ideally I would remove/add sections to the rope which would mean when the rope was short it would feel more responsive (since each segment has an elasticity value, the more segments there are the more that elasticity adds up).
I also think the core gameplay loop could be improved, like you said it is quite unforgiving especially when you have limtied control over Steve. The coins were meant to be a buffer against damage but adding them as a component of the scoring mechanic suggested that it was optimal to completely avoid damage which is impractical. I certainly learned lessons about game design from making this game!
Thanks again for playing and for you feedback, it means a lot!
This is an extremely polished game. I loved the humor in it as well.
Playing around with the chain/rope physics was a joy. I had to restart the game and select the controls, however.
I may have missed the initial selection screen?
The mechanic itself was very interesting. Good job!
Really nice. It's fun and interesting, i like the presentation and the humor. I don't like the fact that you have to manually choose the controls before playing without getting told to do so (maybe I missed something, this is how it looked to me) but this is the only issue, it's very good in everything else
Really awesome idea! It took me a while to figure out how the controls worked but afterwards it was awesome! A little difficult at first, but I'm probably just bad. Really nice art, and great mechanics. Your menus were also super well done, I love seeing that! Great job, I'd appreciate it if you could check out my game too!

Not only a great take on the theme, but a very spot on execution. The graphics are well made, the game has great humor and the tutorial explains well the basic, which are dun and are well expanded . I only ran in a small issue in the last level, i couldn't get Steve to do that jump at the beginning
