How does the game fit the theme?
Weapons have optional attachable parts which gives them probability of being jammed but also empower them.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
There are some little codes and models from our old projects.
Some textures and 3 models are from https://pizzadoggy.itch.io/psx-mega-pack
Also most of the sounds are from freesound.org, I edited some of them.

I really liked the game idea, it was fun to play
A nice horror game! The environment was good and the movement was smooth. I picked the pistol first and the crowbar later but I couldn't re-equip my pistol, which also had a flashlight! If you expand on it further, I would suggest a way to store the weapon and switch it as and when required.
A nice game overall! Good job!
Thanks for playing! You can change your weapon with number keys (1 for pipe, 2 for pistol and 3 for shotgun after obtaining them).
This was an effective horror game. The models and animations were very good and effective at setting the vibe. The sound effects were also good, and I really liked the reloading mechanic. It definitely added to the realism.
Although I feel as if the game is a bit unbalanced. Zombies take too many hits to kill, and there's not enough ammo to deal with them all. The crowbar has too little of a range. I saw in another comment that that was the point, but considering the length of your arm + the length of the crowbar, it makes sense for it to have more range. Otherwise, it just feels wrong and becomes very easy to die to the zombies, who hit quickly and seem to have more range. All this made it hard to get very far. Also, I came across an error where I was getting hit/taking damage even though there were no zombies around.
Even considering all of this, the game is still pretty impressive for a week. Good job!
First of all thanks for feedbacks and playing our game.
Your normal weapons are a little bit underpowered because we want you to use upgrade attachments (with pressing Q), if you attach upgrade part monsters will take 2 hits on the head (or 4 on the body) from pistol to die. Do that and maybe explore optional rooms and your ammo count should be enough.
About pipe (or crowbar if you want to call it that) , as I said in other comment "pipe should be your last resort hence has bad range and damage (and I admit it's hitbox is not very good). Also you can use it to kill monsters if you detach their both arms so that they can't attack you so you can save some ammo". We still can adjust the it's range after making hitbox better though.
Oh, I had no idea that you could detach individual body parts! The head of one of the zombies did fall off at one point, but I thought that was just a random occurrence. Also, I completely forgot about the ability to upgrade! Thanks for telling me
Great game, unfortunately im not a big fan of horror games, especially with limited ammo.
I gave it my best shot, on my 4th try I got to the lower flour, and killed about 5 zombies. but I was out of ammo, got to stressed, couldn't play anymore sorry. I didn't find upgrades either. once I got killed in corridor before reaching stairs but i could've sweared there was no zombie behind me, and no swinging sound.
Good that they were very docile, otherwise I would've never got even that far.
Maybe later i'll give it another shot.
Great game, maybe its not in my preference but i can appreciate a great game when i see one.
Thanks for trying our game and your kindness. Upgrade parts are avaible as soon as you get weapon, you just press Q to attach/detach upgrade part. If you try our game again don't forget to attach upgrade part whenever you have low ammo (and have safe zone because of possible weapon jam) so you won't run out of ammo again.
Very spooky vibes, great work on the visuals and building the atmosphere. Interesting choice to have weapon jamming and the manual reloading mechanisms. I can totally see how that ties into risks. I'm not much of a horror game fan so my experience is limited, but this was good!
Good Job in getting spooky vibes. Although you should have added some challenges as well and a save system.
Cool spooky mood and reload mechanic, It took me a while to find the key to the exit :)
Yeah I should've put a marker on that, sorry for taking your time.
Not really my genre, but it was honestly interesting to play, and there were almost no bugs. I didn’t quite understand how to kill enemies with the pipe, so I only used the pistol. Either way, it was a cool experience, thank you!
Pipe should be your last resort hence has bad range and damage (and I admit it's hitbox is not very good). Also you can use it to kill monsters if you detach their both arms so that they can't attack you so you can save some ammo.
Love the atmosphere!
An interesting genre of game to make considering this theme, hadn't thought of it. The visuals were realistic enough to give that spooky vibe and I liked the multiple weapons. However, a HUGE part of horror games is the sound design. If the sounds aren't immersive enough it can quickly detract from the experience. For example, when I take a small step, the player should hear a small step, and if they dont their brain picks up on the fact it's not real. There are plenty more examples (jump scares also need that spooky sound as well), however I understand these are from free sound so I wont dwell on it. Having monsters that dont one shot the player makes them feel a bit less dangerous and scary. An easy way to make the game scarier is also to make the map smaller and make it feel like the player is just alone and trapped with the monster. Hope that was some useful feedback, and thanks for playing my game!
Thanks for feedbacks and thanks for playing my game for you too!
An interesting game with a nice atmoshpere. The reloading mechanic is really creative and original, makes you even more immersed in the game.
Keep up the good work!
I got so scared! Horror games really get to me, but at least here you can fight the monsters instead of just running and hiding. I gotta admit, the reload system is cool! Though at first I pressed R and thought the game had bugged out xD Nice one, great job! Oh, p.s. I think 5 headshots are a bit too much, or are the monsters supposed to be that tough?
Your weapons feels a little bit underpowered so you can choose to play safe and spend more ammo with not attaching upgrade part or attach the upgrade part with the risk of your weapon being jammed with every shot. Unupgraded pistol need to shoot 5 times in the head but if you attach upgrade part it's 2 shots.
Yeah, I noticed it as I kept playing, I really like the idea! Great job
Solid start for full game. For something made in such short time it looks very detailed.
An intresting use of the theme use a good atmosphere. To improve maybe look more towards Cruelty Squad for reloads.
I knew Cruelty Squad's reload mechanic but it's more suitable for a fast paced game like Cruelty Squad. Our game's more slow paced and we wanted our weapon usage makes players feel more weighty so we've gone for more complex reload. Even so thanks for recommendation and again thanks for playing our game.
Hold on! Is it too scary? Maybe i wanna try it at night for a better experiencie if it has a good horror experience. I like doing that, with the lights out
I wouldn't say too scary but you can probably feel atmosphere better with lights out.
Got it bro I'll play it at night to get the full experience 🔥In complete darkness
very good mechanics, i was able to play this for awhile! well done!
Cool game, really enjoyed the reload mechanic!
The only thing i'd tweak is the melee feedback, sometimes it was hard to tell if I hit the monster
The reload/jamming is a lot of fun. The limited ammo added a lot to the tension.
Here's a vod of me playing your game. Thanks for sharing!

The reload mechanics and jamming mechanics were initially just slightly difficult to get used to, but added a lot. They were really panic inducing at times. Although I didn't realize that the pistol attachment increased the frequency of jamming.
Thanks for playing our game! Actually for both weapons the attachments create the probability of jamming, if you don't attach them there won't be jamming.
The reaload mechanic is the highlight, realy cool. I miss some dark soundtrack, but this game reminds me the resident evil style plus silent hill, realy interesting. The pipe could be more easy to do damage also. Nice work!
