Hi, sorry I never saw you reply until now. I actually made the dialogue system myself along with a custom node based editor. Took me a good day or two but worked well enough. You can contact me through the discord link in my GitHub profile (https://github.com/thejoeman23), I'd be happy to explain how it works in more detail.

The only word that can describe this game is goated. Spoiler warning but I gave this game 5/5 on everything. The ui feels polished, the story is amazing, the art is charming, and the music fits the game extremely well. SFX are super satisfying. What WASNT satisfying is that every time I got near the end the page would turn white, so I have no clue how this mystery gets solved 😭
An interesting genre of game to make considering this theme, hadn't thought of it. The visuals were realistic enough to give that spooky vibe and I liked the multiple weapons. However, a HUGE part of horror games is the sound design. If the sounds aren't immersive enough it can quickly detract from the experience. For example, when I take a small step, the player should hear a small step, and if they dont their brain picks up on the fact it's not real. There are plenty more examples (jump scares also need that spooky sound as well), however I understand these are from free sound so I wont dwell on it. Having monsters that dont one shot the player makes them feel a bit less dangerous and scary. An easy way to make the game scarier is also to make the map smaller and make it feel like the player is just alone and trapped with the monster. Hope that was some useful feedback, and thanks for playing my game!
I thoroughly enjoyed playing your game. It was polished and well thought out with a good core game loop and replayablility. I would have appreciated the car having just a E to escape button because sometimes I didnt want to go back but it took me anyways. The art was amazing with a good sense of cohesion. The music worked well with the racoon crime vibes and the shop felt nice and cozy. Perhaps too much time was spent making the dialogue as smooth and polished as it was when it was used very little, but oh well. Overall this was a great game and deserves more ratings than it's got! Keep up the good work!
I loved the atmosphere of the game and the monster was genuinely scary. What was even more scary was the ft could see me through walls but had no pathfinding so could never get me 🤣. The movement and interactions felt polished but I couldn't figure out how to escape the monster. also it says WSAD instead of WASD xD
I absolutely loved how polished the ui and audio and gameplay was! I have actually been thinking of making a small game with this same blindness feature, so it's super cool to see an example of just that! I couldn't figure out how to actually kill the people so I wasn't able to beat a mission. I would love a more in depth tutorial (maybe just update the game page with more instructions) so that I can figure this out more. Tip: if u want more people to see your game, you've gotta rate other games and give feedback. Overall, good work!
(ps play my game if you're looking for a cursed, comedy game that will make you laugh xD)
