Right off the bat, the graphics are gorgeous! The modeling, texturing, and in-game environmental setup is excellent! Also the game controlled very well.

On a technical issue, there were a number of times I took a box over to the conveyor and it would place in such a way that the box moved along the edge of the conveyor and the unboxing machine never changed it to a toy/danger item. That may have been a mechanic, but I didn’t notice anything describing that, so it felt more like a bug? Not sure.

I did notice that the instructions mentioned needing to wake the elves, which I did. I didn’t realize they were so narcoleptic and would almost immediately fall back to sleep. I figured I just had to wake them at the start of the day. Given the limited time I had each day, I think having to constantly wake the sleeping elves made the game more frustrating than anything else.

Over all, like I said, the game looks fantastic, and plays very well beyond my own gripes about the game!

If you’re interested in watching, I played a bit on stream recently.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I didn't have much time to work on balancing the game since I'm a single person working on it.

The box going to the second conveyor isn't supposed to work like that. It will be fixed, but it's caused by placing the box too close to the edge. The elfs should be falling asleep but not that frequently, which is again my fault. I've been working on the update which will fix these issues and add more content.

I'll check out your stream too! Thanks for the comment again.

Developer

The update is almost done, though I don't have much time cause I'm 16 and have school work.

Truly one of the most polished games of the jam, fun but quite hard, I really like the design of the elfs!

Developer

Appreciate your comment!

I'm amazed at the amount of work you've put into this in just 3 days! Especially you did everything except the audio yourself. I like the game concept you've come up with, it's really fun to run around and manage your elfs while also dealing with presents. I do think the game could benefit from a bit of tweaking. Because of the time it takes to move to the belt and deal with presents, then back, you only really end up dealing with 1/2 elfs every round, while the furthest two are left to sleep, 2 elfs were simply efficient enough to keep me at my peak packing speed. Also, I felt like the boxes only rarely spawned presents, I had loads of non-present objects! But I think with those things worked out this could be even more fun, and I just love the visuals. The elfs are so cute! Good job and hope to see you back next jam!

Developer(+1)

Yep, I noticed the no need of the last 2 elfs too... Didn't really have time to test that much and tweak things around. About the spawnrate - I haven't changed the possibilities which means: there are 3 toys and 2 dangerous items so 40% chance for a non-toy item. You were just really unlucky :D. Might have to make the rates lower tho.
Thanks for the feedback and I'm happy you liked it!

HostSubmitted

Oh yes, very unlucky then! I also always end up not having time for testing, so I totally feel you haha. Cheers!

I loved the models but the gameplay was less chaotic and more repetitive. Would have been a lot better with music. Still a great game, had a blast.

Developer

It has a background music? Anyways thanks dor the feedback

Very good game, there are a lot of things that could be polished, but it's still an amazing game for only 3 days of work.

Keep it up in your next projects.

Developer(+1)

Thanks

I love the character design and other modelling, everything looks so cohesive. I also had a lot fun with the gameplay (I too made a game about managing a group of pesky elves XD). Great job!

Developer

Thank you for the comment! Yep our ideas are similar haha

The main menu, little pictures, fonts and arts are really great. At first attempt I got negative score XD, but second time I got 90, overall is great especially the visual.

Developer

Thanks! I loved your game!

I have to echo some of the other comments, your main screen looks ridiculously good.  Your concept was simple to grasp and I did ok at it, though I am not sure why they were still making presents past the 25th, don't they get a day or two off after peak?

Developer

Thank you! And the game ends at the 24th?

Great game! The main screen's visuals are awesome! It feels cinematic. I also enjoy the concept of the game but I feel like the timer is too short for me to really get deep into it. It does however give the game a more frantic feeling and that's fun

Thank you for the comment!

The main screen looks amazing :D. The Idea is simple and cute and it is easy to understand and enjoy. Great Job.

Thank you :)

Very funny and cute concept, plus fun :3

Developer

Glad you liked it

Super impressed by the level of detail, and the core gameplay loop is addicting and enjoyable! I noticed that placing boxes too close to the edge of the conveyor belt causes them to bypass the unboxing, and unboxed presents can be placed in the center conveyor belt but don't impact your score at all. Overall, awesome job! :)

Developer

Thanks for the comment!
Yeah... I encountered that problem too, but it was too insignificant to waste time on it.

The elves making swords is funny. This is really really impressive for 3 days, a cute/fun working 3d game with your own models.

Submitted

These elves have a shocking habit of making deadly weapons for kids! I think they need a raise and some time off!

Developer(+1)

They are too tired to think propery haha. Thanks for playing!

Part of me was hoping I could spawn hundreds of packages if I annoyed them fast enough - just break the game in a hilarious way!

Developer(+1)

It was like that when testing haha. Definitely fun with all the packages flying around the room

You guys were the big team? Good graphics. And it looks very polished, well done guys

Developer(+1)

Nope, it's just me haha. Thanks

You rock! Congratulations

Stunning visuals! I was a little confused though how the point system worked, i ended up with -15 points hihi. Im a terrible santa

Developer

I hoped the boards in the first room were clear 😅. Anyway thans for the review!

A cute, very well-crafted game that looks exceptionally polished. It's fantastic you were able to pull off something so cute in such a short amount of time. Kudos to you! My only critique is that I wish the timer were a bit longer so I could really get that conveyer belt churning~

Developer

Thank you for the review! About the timer, I get what you mean, it's just that there is too much days for longer rounds. It is my fault. Thank you again.
