I'm sorry, I slid off the cheeseburger 5 times and had to rage quit. I'll probably try again at some point, I know it's a skill issue, but also I think the curves on some objects are a little bit harsh, especially so early on in the level.

I really really wish there was a power meter so I could judge when my jumps were full charged easier.

I enjoyed it, it's fun, but those couple of niggles just frustrating me. I'll try again later, I want to reach the top of Sweet Kingdom!

YES that cheeseburger is super challenging
actually this happened bc of a bug, it was super easy and now you have to jump on the marshamllow with a very specific angle to get on top
but either way thank you so much for putting the time and playing the game! it means a lot to us
we will add a lot more to the game specially the jump meter

nice game,great job!

I really like the artstyle of your game. I have to agree with amethyscent, I would have liked some indication of if I am currently charging a jump and how far I am to max strength or something similar. I also felt that having control over the story snippet at the start despawning would have been nice.

Great game! I like the twist on a normal platformer where you can only move left/right while jumping. Definitely makes it more interesting! I also like the art and the music. I do have a few issues/suggestions, though:

1. The music is good, but it's too quiet. I had to turn my volume all the way to 100 to be able to hear it, and it was still kind of quiet.

2. The levels felt too punishing. It was way too easy to bounce off of things that weren't considered to be bouncy. Like the walls. This made it very easy to try to make a jump, bump into the wall, and get thrown in the other direction.

3. Whenever the glass lands on the ground, it slides around, which also makes it harder to plan jumps or to land on things. I think a sliding/slipping mechanic could be good if it was limited to certain foods/platforms. Kind of like what you have with the “bouncy” foods.

4. Not necessary for the game to be playable, but an indicator to show the height/arc of the jump would be great.

Otherwise, great job!

Really appreciate the detailed feedback! You made some great points, especially about the music volume and the sliding should have been less slippery overall, defiantly needs tweaking. We also thought about adding a jump charge indicator but ran out of time during the jam. We’ll definitely keep your suggestions in mind if we decide to develop a more polished version in the future. Thanks again for playing!

Cool game! I unfortunately suck at these kind of games so i never made it past the burger XD Keep up the good work though!!

Simple but very effective gameplay, it was very fun and I had a lot of fun trying to climb over and over again, the physics and jump controls are just very good, amazing job!

Really liked the art style in this game! The music fit in very well too! The only critique I would give is showing me how powerful my jump is, was a bit tough to figure out where I would land. Overall a great experience for a game jam game, 10/10

Really interesting control style. Unfortunately level design felt a bit too punishing for me. Fell from burger more than 5 times :) Art style is really pretty, little suggestion: another frame for the glass, that its trying to hold his breath or maybe in anxiety, sign of it holding its breath or preparing to jump, could be a very nice way to both express holding space and also add some little action. It was a fun try for me. Well done, good luck in your next project!

I really liked the overall presentation — the visuals have a lot of charm and the music fits the mood perfectly :) The movement system feels unique and adds a nice layer of skill, though a clearer sense of how much power is in each jump would make it feel more consistent. Sometimes it was hard to judge and that led to missed jumps, which got a little frustrating. The difficulty definitely pushes you, but in a way that makes progress feel rewarding :D Overall, a creative and well put-together entry that left a strong impression and the game totally has that classic indie vibe and overall a great and well polished jam game :D!

the art is amazing! (especially the thumbnail lol I love it) the mechanic is nice and the music is satisfying. goodjob!

Love the art style! I think a visual indication of jump charge would be a nice addition, but apart from that it was fun!

Really cool game :)

This game is well made and has quite good looking assets! It was fun to play a fodding game, as there are not that many in this jam. There was a jump of a humburger onto a white bouncy thingy with a donut close buy, which I could't do even after trying multiple (multiple ...) times!

Overall a fun game!

Appreciate you so much! unfortunately because of a coding issue our game became super challenging, we will fix it!

I really enjoy this kind of game! They are really fun and the movement mechanic for this game is really clever! The art and music are also great! I think having an indicator for jump power would be nice. It'd make it easier to predict how far you'll go.

Nice platformer and interesting concept of just moving while mid-air, the art is great and has a unique charm to it, my suggestion is to add a visual indicator of how much is the jump charged, sometimes I felt it jumped less than I want it to :)

I don’t know if it was a bug but if I held space too long it’d do nothing. There was no visual or audio indicator of when that mark would be, making the game a lot more frustrating than I think it meant to be. If I imagine the game not working like that, I think it’s good looking and pretty fun/solid for this kind of game. But with having to carefully count in my head how long to hold space to get the best jump possible without accidentally having it eat my input it’s more work than fun :(

Appreciate you so much! unfortunately because of a coding issue our game became super challenging. we wanted to fix more and do more but unfortunaley time wasn't enough so we would fix it 100%

Neat Foddian game! The graphics are very nice, and the idea for the gameplay is quite neat! I think the problem is that the tutorial text is a bit out of the way, so some might not realise that, to move, you need to be in the air (and there's no indication of how high your jump is). Aside from that, the level design (from the levels that I played) is also quite good!

good gameplay, but levels make it too easy to fall and restart again, I couldnt finish 2 level

I like the platform art!
