How does the game fit the theme?
This game fits with the theme "Nothing Can Go Wrong" by starting with what seems like an ordinary desk job for Captain Eric. However, things quickly take a dramatic turn as he unexpectedly finds himself defending Earth from an alien invasion by Captain Zippy.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I used tutorials for some of the code. I also used assets from online during the jam.

nice game! i feel like the controls were sort of unintuitive with the turning and aiming. other than that great effort!
Fun game ! At the begining, i spend a bit of time on the main screen, and kill my earth ahahahaha "nothing could go wrong"

Interesting game! Am i the only one who started to shoot at the earth out of boredom? i genuinely thought i might unlock an ending or something haha. I like the gameplay and the hit effects on the earth, a neat entry!

I liked the aesthetics of the game! The earth had very nice visuals. I think if there was more feedback to hitting the enemies like even a simple flash or something itd make it really nice! Controls also slightly made it harder to hit the enemies. But overall really good game!

Nice game! It is fun, but I think the player controls feel a bit complicated when it comes to shooting. Maybe adding feedback to the enemies when they take a hit would make it more rewarding and satisfying!

pretty cool! Aim with mouse could have felt better imo. That earth looks pretty cool! Is it just a mask and two parallax textures?
Thanks! I actually just used an AnimatedSprite2D for the Earth and placed it directly in the scene. Glad you liked how it turned out!
