How does the game fit the theme?
This game fits with the theme "Nothing Can Go Wrong" by starting with what seems like an ordinary desk job for Captain Eric. However, things quickly take a dramatic turn as he unexpectedly finds himself defending Earth from an alien invasion by Captain Zippy.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I used tutorials for some of the code. I also used assets from online during the jam.

What a nice game! It was a bit difficult to aim though due to the controls. But great job!
I really liked this one: simple, fun and with great visuals and sounds! Great job!
Nice game! It is fun, but I think the player controls feel a bit complicated when it comes to shooting. Maybe adding feedback to the enemies when they take a hit would make it more rewarding and satisfying!
Overall, nice submission!
Fun game. I like the visuals. But I would like to have a "try again" button after finishing the game.
Btw, my highscore 2300
its a good game it looks great but i am not a big fan of the movement (probably because i suck) bet every thing else wus awsome!
Fun stuff! Looks and sounds great, and I enjoy the loop. Nice work :)
Love the artstyle, but the gameplay is preety hard due to the controls. Althought, good job!
I like your game, the earth sprite look increidble. I enjoy your game but the only problem are the controls. Good job!
Cool game! Like others have said, the controls are really the only questionable part. Minus that, there is lots of potential for this. Good job!
Yeah if I maybe used a mouse the controls would have been smoother. Thanks for the feedback :D
pretty cool! Aim with mouse could have felt better imo. That earth looks pretty cool! Is it just a mask and two parallax textures?
Thanks! I actually just used an AnimatedSprite2D for the Earth and placed it directly in the scene. Glad you liked how it turned out!
Really liked the game, especially the visuals, I would say that the enemies attack way too fast, there is no way to avoid damage to earth and I think that the controls make it a little bit hard to aim, I think that the controls are cool but when given a little bit more time to respond to enemies.
Yeah, I realized that after creating the enemies :/ . I will keep that in mind! Thanks for the feedback :)
Well done, I really liked the graphics and sound! I suggest you change the controls to make the ship rotation faster. Also, adding some different weapons, other types of enemies would be nice as adding a goal to a game (not just infinite defence). You can expand the area - allow the player to move far from the planet, add some random loot in space and the player will choose between leaving a planet for a long time for a nice bounty. All in all, nice work with a space for further development!:)
Yeah for sure! I will keep that in mind for next time! Thanks!
played and rated :) some cool ideas in there, nice pixel art and sound effects, but the controls were very weird, it was impossible to aim the ship with any real control.
Alright! I will keep the controls in mind for next time! Thanks for playing :))
The art is really well done! I think if you had the spaceship rotate/lock towards mouse position instead of the WASD based rotation your game would have been a blast!
Yeah that is actually a very good idea! I will keep that in mind for next time thanks!
Very cool game with great pixel art visuals. Well done!
The visuals and music were really great!
Nice pixel art! The controls where kinda hard at first but you can easily get the hang of them. Simple and straightforward game maybe it needed some different types of spaceships and maybe levels!
Alright! I will keep that in mind next time! Thanks for playing!
I loved the pixel art! The animations were very clean and polished (especially the Earth parallax, and the shooting animations), and really added to the experience! The music and sound effects also added a lot to the overall feel! Being able to shoot the Earth made me not just spam shoot the entire time and actually think about aiming. Overall, very enjoyable game, great job!
Thanks so much for playing my game :)!
Game has a very charming art style and sound design to it. Reminds me of old arcade games.
Thanks!
The game idea is good; the visuals and sound remind me of old-school games. But I had trouble with how to start playing. When I started, I ended up shooting my own world until it broke, causing the game to end. Surprised, I tried looking for other ways to play, and it took me a while to figure out how to play and choose colors.
Alright! Thanks for the feedback, I will keep that in mind!
