Played your game on stream. If you wanted to watch me go through it I've got the vod below timestamped to your game

Really innovative and singular as a theme ! i like it !

Nice game! Although, I did have trouble figuring out what was wrong most of the time, and my screen kept getting filled with more and more static. If you decide to improve this game after the jam, maybe add something to make it more clear as to what needs to be fixed. And maybe after fixing something, the static gets set back a bit? Other than that, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you. We developed after releasing this version, we designed a better minimal ui to communicate what to fix, and changed healing times to be faster. We plan to release a post jam update for this game. If you liked it, please stay tuned!

Nice idea! I understand that we had to switch off some furnitures but i always die fast ^^

Game was interesting! Only that i feel like the tv static may appear a bit too fast? Perhaps a nice little tutorial in game could help :D

I really liked the idea of this game and it has a very eerie vibe to it which I like. This is probably a me problem but some of the interactions were not working. Cool game regardless!

Developer(+1)

Thanks. Our UI Design was a bit confusing, sorry for that. All the interactions are working but only when they are available... We actually developed a better UI to go live in first post-jam update

Awesome!

a little bit unintuitive at first but the game description cleared up any confusion.  Good work!

I really like the concept of the game which describes how myself at midnight if I heard any random sound outside my house lol. But the game is too dark, sometimes I kinda find it hard to navigate around the house and whenever the character gets more anxious the grain screen stacks up on top of each other I find it much harder to navigate around the house, and on that point I cannot play the game, I would say you should replace those grain screen to be something else and brighter your level a bit more so the player won't find a hard time playing your game but overall is a good game.

P.S. This is my clone account since my main account (used to submit the game) is restricted from commenting. You guys can check out my game here, thanks https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-13/rate/3349422

Pretty cool game! I feel like some soft footstep sounds for player movement could help with the immersion

Developer

Thank you for playing and for your good suggestion

It's really creepy ! I played on the laptop, and it was too dark for me. It's hard for me to see the surrounding and  didn't know how to interact with the game. (I have already turned the computer screen to its maximum brightness.)

I tried many times, but I eventually lost. I'm not entirely sure, but does the game feature strange events, like the alarm suddenly ringing or the music box playing, where you need to interact with them within a time limit (turn them off), or else you lose? Please let me know if I'm wrong.

If that's the case, I think the game's atmosphere is successful. However, if the scene were a little brighter, it would help, because not being able to see anything takes away from the horror and makes it difficult to navigate. I don't think you need to increase the overall brightness, but adding some flickering lights occasionally to illuminate the environment (maybe even with some horror elements) or weak light sources like candles could work well. This would still maintain the creepy atmosphere while allowing players to play the game more smoothly.

It might just be me, but the noise effect was a bit too strong, which made me feel a little uncomfortable after playing. Maybe you could reduce the intensity or change how it's presented.

Developer

Thank you for playing and suggestions. We'll try address these issues in the first post jam update

I'm sorry but I couldn't play this game. Which is why I am not going to rate it to not let the ratings go down for the jam (I think based on the comments below that this is a good game).

I couldn't play the game as looking at the grains give me eye strain and I essentially got a big headache from that. I don't want to be dishonest with you, but my body couldn't tolerate it, I wish I could.

I'd recommend adding a warning in the beginning that this game contains grains, flashy lights and stuff like that. All the best for the jam!

Developer

We're sorry our game medically disturbed you. Thanks for the suggestion, I hope we'll add a warning in first post jam update. Good luck

Really good graphics and style

Interesting game! I was a little confused on what to do, or why the screen was going to static at first, but after a while I got the hang of things. The game has a nice, creepy vibe to it, and I would love to see this being taken further and made into a horror game (maybe with some freaky sleep paralysis demons)! Overall great stuff!

That was a fun game and truly creepy experience! I think you really did well on the eerie feeling and I felt a bit anxious at times while playing haha! The only thing is the static effect felt kind of strong and it was very difficult to see when it was active.

Very interesting concept. It is kinda bad that you are bound to lose at first when you don't know which sound is what and where is it coming from. Maybe if there would be a day section where you would get familiar with everything. Also when the sounds are there, the grayness comes up too fast in my opinion and it stays there. I would maybe allow it to gradually go back to normal when there would be quiet. My biggest issue was the brightness because I tried to play it on default and I just couldn't see anything. Even on highest option it was challenging. I don't know if there is ending, because on my third try after a while I got stuck between chair and box on the ground and couldn't move while no new sounds showed up.
Overall very interesting idea and despite some issues nice submission.

Developer

Thank you for sharing the bug. We've never seen it before. The game has an ending, yes... Thank you for playing also

Nice game! I felt a little bit lost in the beginning, but everything was clear throughout the tries. When the static noises started intensifying I couldn't see well and I didn't know where I was going lol. Very well done on everything else :)

Really cool horror game! The graphics and sound really do a great job of setting a creepy vibe for the game. It took me a few tries, but I managed to get myself back to sleep! Great work!

Developer

Thank you for playing, Sleep tight and good luck
