How does the game fit the theme?
The story reinforces the idea of "nothing can go wrong". I play with the illusion of control, your comfort zone. Everything seems predictable and safe, but the game constantly twists its own rules. Progress is only possible through failure, and every death reveals that now nothing can go wrong.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Free assets 1-bit for the background and platforms.

Excellent concept, design, and implementation! A very solid entry.
This is amazing, what a fun way to take the theme and corrupt a platformer 😍😍. This is such a winning formula and I cannot believe it was all made by one person. Amazing stuff. I think this is definitely worthy of receiving post jam tlc. Might have to come back for a blue door run. Great stuff ^_^
Yeah, one of the best I´ve played so far this jam. The narrative is simple, but with your sense of timing and how interesting the concept is it works fantastic. Left me intreagued. Great Job :)
This was a beautiful looking game. The graphics were simple but it really poppef off. I think the only thing that id say would be to add coyote time to the jumps, im not sure if its there? I dont think there was, its a very neat thing for platformers :D
Honestly speaking, I think it's the game that has me most glued to my seat so far, well done.
Very neat concept and intriguing meta-narrative. I didn't go for the blue door yet, since I failed the condition on my second run and couldn't progress without resetting (in the room where you have to be crushed + sliced), but I will probably return to this later. I really want to see what all this is about.
Puzzles are pretty original and require some thought, I enjoyed the part of the game I played so far!
I can lowkey tell u were probably a video editor at one point :3 that chromatic aberration is lovely in this :3 Epic game :3
A good spin on the theme with a cool chromatic aberration filter! Platforming was pretty decent, but replaying the same levels got a bit old on the third loop (for blue doors)
What a great game! It perfecly captures the theme and was fun to play! The jump was quirky and there was a bit too much chromatic aberation but overall very good!
Thank you so much! I'd like to add an options menu to fix that so everyone can adjust it to their preference—sorry if it was an inconvenience 🕸️
I hope you still managed to escape from them and be free! One of the better platformers I've played and the chromatic abberation and scan lines shader is really close to the one I implemented myself! Great job
Thank you so much! Honestly, I don’t even know how I did it, I just watched tutorials and mixed concepts until it turned out the way I wanted it to look. 🕸️
Did you manage to enter through the blue door, or did you choose to stay in your safe zone?I had not reached the end. I got to the third level where the spikes moving up and down go. Couldnt get up the ledge from there
Every time you deactivate a trap, it turns into something that mighthelp you, and nothing can go wrong with it anymore. Press R and try it again! If you keep playing, I’d love to get feedback to improve it since it’s the first game I’ve made 🕸️
Wow this is actually really good!
It's very polished, especially the shaders make the game look very elevated. The concept is nice, although I've seen similar games under other themes before (I think Death isn't the end, or something like that) but it fits this theme, and that's the important bit. I would add an option to disable the wobbly shader as it made me a bit dizzy after a bit. Also, your game could really profit by having coyote time as further polish. I've attached an example, where I technically solved the puzzle, but had to restart because my jump was just short. Coyote time could've really helped me out there. But time's short of course :)
Thank you so much for the comment! I still don’t know how to make an options menu, but I’ll keep improving the game to add settings and more levels.
As for coyote time, I considered it when making the game, but after playing and testing, I realized it would make things MUCH easier—and I don’t want to make an easy game. I like it to be frustrating.
And regarding the example in level 4, you haven’t solved the puzzle. You can’t reach the door if the blade stays there. Press R and try again! 🕸️
Nicely made platformer! The inclusion of a speed running mode is awesome!
Very cool :)
5/5 for all the categories! I hope you release a bigger version with more levels someday :)
Thank you so much!!
Yes, when the jam is over, I’d love to expand it further and release it on Steam. For my first game, I think it turned out pretty playable! Now it's time to keep learning and see how the game jam ends 🕸️
I like the concept, I would have liked to be able to finish the level without dying in everyway!
Cool concept, and well executed!
Cool concept, I really liked tweaking my approach each reset!
The game is really good:)
