Hello! nice little game ya have here! art is dystopian and cute while the music does a good job of setting the stage. I like how it lowkey feels like those mario and bowser inside story minigames :3 Small thing for if ya keep going after the jam, a little more error wiggle room for the WASD cog could be really nice. As well as a bit more story as to why we're helping the robot or where it needs to go :3 cool game!
Hello! This game is a lot of fun! its short, sweet, and coherent which is hard for a jam game + the music was peak ear candy. small thing for if ya continue after the jam tho, a colored background of some kind or option to make the background completely black could help mitigate eye strain in certain minigames. Overall, really nice work and im excited to see what yall do in the future :3
I really love the game design for this one! the fact that you keep introducing new mechanic types while merging them with old ones makes a really coherent game. I love how you can "accidentally" create new techs by finding them early as well. Overall a Pretty cool game!
(PS you can semi consistently do a super jump with the gear if you call it somewhere, move away, and keep pressing your hammer and the gear towards a wall. it can be furthered with the dash ability as well :3)
i lowkey spent a hour trying, even restarted twice, but couldnt beat the boss :sob: Maybe i just suck at platformers :skull:(how do ya do dmg to em) ima leave a review for this one too cause i feel bad i couldn't complete it :sob:
The Good:
If u spam dash into the bouncy walls, u can get ur e always which is really funny :3
pause menu and ui is really clean
The art and especially the character art is really awesome sauce :3
most of the movement felt fluid and fun(see the bad for what i means :3)
The Neutral:
U should totally handle your music with a global script so it doesnt stop and restart every death :3
I think itd be cool if the tracking enemy projectiles had a different sprite than the regular one direction ones.
The Bad:
Smaller hitboxes. please smaller hitboxes especially on spikes.
Pls increase the length of the regular dash.
on the web version, it can sometimes be difficult to dash upwards with the glitch. i found myself sometimes exiting out of full screen by mistake :sob:
Overall a neat game with cool art but really really punishing in its current state, maybe more difficult than celeste :sob:
Hello! Sorry ya got stuck outside the map :sob: I'm currently working on debugging that area (I lowkey put my area3d a lil too high :skull:), adding a ending other than the fruit / game quit, and quality of life stuffs (like a pause menu, audio sliders/better audio mastering, and subtitles) for after the jam :3 Thanks for the feedback and playing I really appreciate it!
Hello! Firstly id like to say this is a really cool bullet hell and one of the nicest ive seen this jam :3 the fact u can change your characters values in real time is really epic sauce and the bullets feel impactful as well :3 If ya continue after the jam, I think itd be really nice if you could see how many bosses you have left inbetween or during levels (on my first play through, I lowkey hadn't figured out there were 4 and a big boss) Epic game!
I think its really funny that we both came up with "slight brainrot eyeball game" but with like different genres :skull: I gotta say that intro sequence was PEAK CINEMA like holy guacamole zoo wee mama I was quaking after noticing such excellence. Anyways, the game play was really cool as well, I liked the time stop mechanic even if it felt a lil buggy at times. Lmk if yall continue after the jam! Overall Peak 5/5.
Hello! The vibes were absolutely on point, though I did get a little lost here and there :3. I really appreciate that you aimed to create a sense of anxiety rather than relying on cheap jumpscares which is really awesome sauce! I will say though, as someone who has played a lot of horror games, I didn't feel too overwhelmed with anxiety or fear (which I get is hard to do in a week, I couldn't get it in my horror(its lowkey a comedy) game for the jam either). For example, the intro note sets up this eerie gooberness with a “Welcome in! There is no package, You’re going to try our new product GWAHAHAHHAHA!” but then… you just kind of roam around and leave. It feels like it’s missing that extra seasoning, the salt and pepper of horror, a real sense of threat other than something staring at ya in the play area :3. Cool game though, ALOT of potential! I look forward to what ya do next!
