Nice game. I liked the drawings and the atmosphere. The mini games are also nice. Good job !!
I like visual and sounds. The game's mood looks like a Grimm's farry tale. I love it!
Lovely artstyle, I like your take on theme. The combat is nice, it has that Undertale feel that I love.
I tried to do the bookless run, but the eyeball fight is incredibily hard, there is a ton of them and it's pretty much impossible to dodge them unless you get a really lucky fight, which makes it extremely frustrating.
I'll keep trying if I manage to complete the bookless ending, but so far the game is really good, but the fight with the eyeball needs to be tweaked.
First of all, that artstyle is freaking amazing. The background, the character. They all look soo slick
The banner art, the name art. They all look too good
I was expecting the game to be a platformer but ig it wasnt that (would like if it had more platformer elements)
The combat minigames were also really fun. I really liked the different attacks for different enemies and Id love to see more variations in future versions
But the way you set the atmosphere, the music choice. They made everything perfect
In all, you guys did a solid job, hats off to you!
Cleverl turn of failure into a core part of the challenge! Going out of bounds is integrated as a puzzle mechanic, which is a refreshing twist. The minimalist art and charming design also makes great vibe. Overall, it's an inventive and engaging puzzle that shows plenty of potential.
Lovely visuals, some patterns were a bit hard to cue, but I enjoyed the combat regardless!
The visuals are outstanding and so cool ! The game was fun, and I can see a lot of effort went into achieving this level of quality and cinematic effects.
I completed both endings, and I think the fights could be more enjoyable if they were more skill-based and less reliant on luck, maybe adding patterns to enemy attacks would help. Sometimes dealing with enemies that behave randomly can be frustrating.
Apart from that, this is a big yes, great submission !
Amazing visuals! The audio quite added to the experience too! The combat system was pretty cool but I did struggle quite a lot when not using the book for the flying eye enemy. It feels a little too luck-based sometimes cuz I had once when I was doing really well and all of a sudden three of those came together and I straight up lost. Other than that, really cool game!
The Game Page Is Very Nice, It's What Surprises Me Most, That Level Of Detail Is Not Normal Xddd
Cat!!! Love the artstyle and animations were also good. Music is great and the combat mechanics werent too bad! Reminded me of undertale-style combat! Sad that the game wasnt too long. But good job for a week though! And also the game did freeze every now and then when transitioning screens, thats all :3
Love love love the visuals and aesthetic! The Undertale influence is clear but I like what you did with it. Only qualm is that the movement in the overworld feels pretty slow and heavy
Very cool game! The attack patterns were a bit random, but for only having a week, custom patterns is a big ask. Very enjoyable, short experience!
Amazing game! but the black screen are taking me out of the experience all the time, besides that, wonderful game
Nice game - I liked the unique combat and the audio was great and atmospheric. Maybe just me but the game would seemingly freeze for 5 or 6 seconds after combat ended. Still I liked the game more than enough to persist and have a good time! Well done.
Surprised I got through on my first run! I was down to one life at the end and got like 6 of those things in a row, avoiding the eyes.
I think the art and audio is super effective. The monsters look great, the sound is dynamic and engaging. The movement felt pretty good, too!
As it's been said, though, the game felt really short - I think I spent as much time in the book as I did in the normal level, and I do wish that pacing were different. The idea is so good, I want to stay in that world and travel further, encounter more monsters, etc. But it felt very rushed at the end, despite how well the game felt until that point.
