Immersive story made with simple tools. Well done! Clock ticking is stunning.
What an amazing story. The typing speed and sound made it feel so authentic and real. The ending took my breath away. The clock ticking, the environment you created, the graphics. I don't know how to describe it, but it's just perfect. Thanks for this amazing game! This was just a perfect little story.
Please consider playing and rating my game as well. I would really appreciate it! Thanks a lot! Cheers!!
I liked the narrative in your game. I also liked the doodle screen. It was an interesting choice to have realistic typing times for messages. I'm not sure it's a choice I agree with, but I respect the risk.
I saw this game and I was like, "Whoa, my name's Morgan, this game's about me!" Now that I've played it I really hope it's not about me lol. I absolutely loved the story in this game, it was incredibly well done.
Also the entire time I was like, how does this fit the theme, then I saw the ending... Honestly amazing! Well done!
Great art, really reminds me of "Emily is away". I wish Morgan would type a bit faster though.
So nice story!
Really great game!! Now you are making me question whether life has any meaning or not
just one criticism :
the typing speed is too slow and it takes me out of the experience
the sounds were really awesome though
Wow great game liked the graphics.
This narrative game is surprisingly engaging and you immediately want to find out more of what happened and how the conversation come to be. It actually grips you emotionally which is cool. This really proves that a powerful experience can be delivered with minimalistic interaction / gameplay.
Well done!
Thanks for the feedback :) . It's super cool to hear, that people get immersed into the story!
I am glad to have played some different kind of game in this jam. This game really makes you reflect about if people have free will or not, so I think that you have succeded mate. I love the writting in the keyboard mechanic, so original (if you play my game you will discover that I am a keyboard lover hahahaha). Really worthplaying game, greetings!!
Thanks so much for the feedback :)
I have some games lined up for rating, but I'll definitely get to yours as well :P
Very rich story and very neat use of the theme. As others have said the typing was a little slow at times, but the rest was great:)
I loved the game so much, even though Morgan was slow it felt real as if the AI was trying to impersonate a human, thinking and typing in order to get a proper and likeable response from Alice. I didn't mind waiting for Morgan's replies at all. You did a great job and I absolutely loved the game.
I tried to make Morgan's typing more human like, glad you liked it :) . That said, I would somewhat shorten his response time, so that it appeals to a wider audience. Thanks for the feedback!
Good storytelling game, really makes me think about some philosophy, I normally don't enjoy story-based game that much, but this one is impressive. Great job :)
I tried to make it thought provoking, trying to give a different perspective, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback :)
Nice game! As others have already said, Morgan types a little too slow for my liking. Overall though nice work!
Oh man, that was so sad! Great storyline though. I'm a husband and it got me in the feels. I definitely get the reference to the Black Mirror episode Pole referenced below. Good submission!
Thanks so much for the feedback! :)
Happy to hear, that it invoked some feelings or thoughts.
Nice story, did you took inspiration from that Black Mirror episode?
Also, I couldn't really understand how your game fits the theme of the jam
Haven't seen Black Mirror :)
I tried to work in the "less is more" theme into the story. Having less of her husband (only her memories stay, letting go of the program) might be more, it might be better for her.
Now I see it thank you, really beautiful thought.
Yeah there is a black mirror episode which is really similar to your game, which proves that your idea is really nice, good job!
it's a nice game, didn't finish it though because morgan typed way too slow, i was waiting for like 2 minutes straight and nothing happened.
2 minutes? That might have been a bug, Morgan's typing speed is not that slow. It takes him 3-6s to start typing and 8-14s to send his message. I suspect it was your turn to type, but you didn't, or if you saw the "Morgan is typing..." text, for 2 minutes, than it was a bug. Thanks for the feedback :)
i did get the "Morgan is typing" for like 2 minutes
That's definitely a bug then, sorry to hear you couldn't finish.
I love this game and the story! Btw, is there any way we can make Morgan type faster?
I've got a lot of comments about the typing speed of Morgan and I agree. I would need to update the game for that. (it would be only a variable change though ^^)
Such a wonderful and interesting experience! I really love the aesthetic and the ticking clock sound effect is a great touch. I really enjoyed this! Great job!
Happy to hear you enjoyed it :)
Wow... you tied the theme in with a hard hitting story that was also a turing test. Absolutely brilliant.
Thanks so much :)
