I had a hard time progressing further as I kept dying. I feel like it needs a window of invulnerability when entering the room. Or have enemies wait a bit before engaging the hero. Also might be helpful for the player if enemies have an anticipation before they attack.
Nevertheless, the theme on this game was very clear and mechanics were easy to learn. Aside from that, the menus, sounds, music, gameplay and as well a bit of background story, makes the game a complete experience. So well done bros! 😊

This was a good game. There was a steep learning curve but the amount of fun once you understand the mechanics was amazing. The music and sound were great. Took me time to understand how to capture the emotions but after that, things went very smoothly. Great Game! Thanks for the game!
Please take some time to play and rate my game as well. I would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot!
I really, really want to love this game. It has such great ideas and I love the concept for it. However, there are a few major things holding it back:
The enemies which spawn in the middle of the room can immediately attack you resulting in incredibly hard to avoid damage.
Attacking is quite inconsistent. Pressing the attack button sends your positive emotions at where your aiming but only so far from wherever they are. It's likely they won't reach where you're aiming and might be too far to really help.
Are enemies supposed to deal two damage? It's difficult to tell since you start with 5 health and get drops for single hearts.
Sometime, I can kind of get caught on walls if I walk into them just right.
These are all very solvable issues and I would love to see this game expanded on. There should be more mechanics to encourage fluctuating between using many and few positive emotions at once. Additionally, I'd love to see the different emotions do different things.
This is just such a great base to work off of and I love the idea. I hope you'll be able to continue the project.
I'm not great in Roguelikes, and I wasn't quite able to reach really far. But I like the concept, and the graphics and audio are really nice!
I definitely see the binding of isaac inspiration here! Really great art-style and an interesting theme about the more "power-ups" you acquire the less strong you become :)
I don't know if the emotion (peace, happiness, anger) I chose actually affected gameplay but it would be nice if they were different. Also sometimes when you enter a "room" the monsters attack you straight away meaning you don't have enough time to dodge/attack back. Perhaps a 1-2 second delay when you enter "rooms" could easily fix this problem ^^
Overall, amazing job!
For now, the difference between emotions is in attack damage and speed. That's not easy for the player to see the difference. We plan on creating different attacks and behaviours for each different emotion you get, and maybe attack combination and you get three different emotions.
Indeed when you enter rooms sometimes you can't dodge some of the monsters attacks. We'll fix that in the next update :)
Thanks a lot for your feedback ! :)
Very Fun game has good art, nice music and liked the game over voice. It's kind of hard since the enemies keep killing me right away! But Great Job!
The concept, the visuals, and the story behind it all is very interesting and engaging. The gameplay itself is mixed for me. On the one hand the ability to "capture" the enemy for it to become your weapon is a cool idea but the enemies don't give enough anticipation that they are going to attack especially when you are trying to capture and they just almost instantly kill you. Not to mention that it looks like your emotions automatically attacks them and left clicking barely feels like it actually attacks what I am targeting. I think you have something worth continuing to polish post jam. I would recommend focusing more on the capture and the attacks so they feel better and makes the player feel more in control (if that makes sense)
I really like the idea, it just needs a bit more polish and it would be perfect. The capture system isn't really clear a timer above the enemy's head would definitely help out because at first, I didn't know what the rope was doing. Also, the enemies tend to spawn right on top of you anytime you enter a new room giving the player unavoidable damage. Other than that you have a really solid basis for a fun game! Great work! Keep at it!
Really liked the art, and the music menu. The controls are also interesting and original. But it was very hard, I almost always got insta-killed entering a room. But other than that it was pretty cool! If you have time, could check my game?
Interesting idea but I find it very hard to play. As someone pointed out I got attacked almost every time I entered a new room.
Yo! Nice game!
I like the aesthetic, with the brainy walls and the emotion enemies.
The gameplay could get some juicing up; hiting enemies could make some particles fly out of them, and while you're connecting and dominating an emotion having the enemy glow or have some particles fly out would be pretty cool.
Also - sometimes I enter a room and the enemies immediately jump on me, giving no room to dodge. I feel like that should be fixed, maybe the enemies won't attack for a second after you entered a room?
Eitherway, nice game! I enjoyed it.
I couldn't figure out how the attack work. Probably some feedback would help. Great arstyle, good work!
great game!
i was a bit frustrated because of the spawn point in the right room, you have to walk up to avoid the enemies that sometimes are right next to you :c
maybe a delay time when you enter the room, before the enemies can attack would be great
overall, amazing, i hope you can continue the project :D
