A nice little wave survival game.  The mechanic of tweaking the difficulty and also the score multiplier your own way was cool.  Especially the fact it randomizes the choices each time you play, though the maps seemed to stay the same which was slightly disappointing.  It could definitely have a lot of replay value currently but more maps would help.  Some finer feedback tho:

  • Okay, I've gotta say it.  I'm not one who's the best at audio, but the sounds behind shooting the pistol, and at least slashing with the sword were both incredibly loud and jarring.  I ended up just muting the volume and going from there unfortunately.  I'm not sure where you got the sounds, but my recommendation would be to either equalize or switch them.
  • Movement feels nice, aimings pretty good.  All that's pretty well done.
  • The enemy AI feels a little too easy to kite, though that might be down to map design rather than their AI.  Cause there were a lot of spaces where I would just run behind a wall around a corner and watch all the enemies just slowly follow my exact path.  A few seemed to be smart which is part of why I'm saying this might be level design, but either way it definitely removed the danger element.

I liked the art and animation a lot. I also like the variety of traits items we get to choose from. I feel like on some maps once you know where enemies spawn you can outrun them in a same-ish pattern.  That being said, great work!

Cool take on the theme. I like the customization aspect and stabbing with my little dagger.  As others mentioned would have liked to have some music. But good job!

I like it! The game feels good; the attack makes a sound, a particle effect, and hit enemies flash red. The only thing that lacks are particles flying out, but the game's still fun to play withouth that.

I feel kinda weird about the whole "weaker = more points"; while it's a subversion and all that, players like being strong, specially in a shooter game like this. Making so the most fun way of playing the game is also the less effective for getting points is kinda weird, in my opinion.

That aside, I really like everything else; the character customization, the art, etc. Pretty well-made game!

Nice game, I liked  the risk reward of being weaker for more points.   It's also cool that you got some player customization in there as well. Some music would have definitely been good, and also lowering the sound effects volume would be good as the sword sound effect was a little piercing. But hitting the monster did feel pretty satisfying, so nice job there!

Very nice take on theme. Sadly lacks music. Also if you take dagger and short range i think hittting enemy is impossible or im just bad. Acerage game otherwise

Nice art style and I like the way you could build your setup to play the game, the AI pathfinding worked well as the enemy keep trying to cut you off when they grow in larger numbers. It would be nice if all options could be seen at the start, as if you want to create a particular setup or play a certain level you have to keep reloading in order for them to be options (as far as I can tell) it would also be cool to add some sort of boss or end point to a stage, but that might just be personal preference.

Either way, good submission and something that definitely has potential if you ever wanted to expand upon it and make it into a larger game. Good job :)

Neat take on the theme I like the idea of finding the optimal build to take on the hoards of undead but I found the combat a bit flat. Also as a colour blind person I couldnt tell the difference between the colours for the starting equipment, something like red and blue would make it easier to tell apart. Would love to see how you take this further after the jam with more load outs and different arenas.

I really liked the visuals and the  sounds it made when I attacked my enemies! I liked the variety I had to choose from to change the difficulty! Background music would definitely make the gameplay much more interesting.

I love how you can change the play style by just changing your traits and weapon! I played the powerful rifle (run around and one shot everything) and the fast sword (stab and run)

Game is well executed. I like the different options. I would have liked that it had more impact that just the score. Perhaps something like, the less you kill, the more efficient your next options are, and the more you kill, the less your next options are... Though game is great, and correctly executed. Well done.

I would expect the combat to be more fun with auto rifles but still this is a nice game!
