Very unique looking game! Really liked all the drawn elements and SFX/music match the game perfectly. You created an interesting sense of urgency from the very beginning. It took me a minute to get the controls down (I'm just used to WASD), but it wasn't really an issue. Just wish there was a mini tutorial or simple menu I could view all the controls. Other than that, good work!
Love the nostalgic feel. The art goes great with the sound goes great with the music.
I also appreciate that there is a story incorporated and conveyed without using dialog. On the last level I had some issues with shield guys not falling in the pits. Additionally the last section was much harder than previous sections, but that might be the way the cookie crumbles here. Overall I really enjoyed my time here! Great work!

Good pixel art. I think the game would benefit greatly from the ability to hit downward in air. Also, I think the shield dude is a bit too hard for where he shows up. If there had been a checkpoint before him, it wouldn't have been an issue, but repeating the very easy beginning section each time I died got a bit tedious. Good job overall.
A charming game with neat music and visuals. It's a pretty basic platformer and is unfortunately very difficult and features very sparse check points. I stopped at the battle toads cart section because it was hard to tell which lanes were safe or not.
I highly recommend for game jam game to make sure to tell the player the controls and to make your game easier. It's better for the game to be too easy than for the player to be incapable of completing it in a game jam.
I made an effort to make this game much easier than my last game jam, but I guess I still have work to do.
Your games music and art was pretty good! The bull or moose enemies were kinda annoying though and i couldnt get past the first one sadly. The level design is pretty straight forward from what i saw, but ye great job!
It's an enraged demon pig, which don't show up frequently in the game. You can run back to where the first duck was sitting and kill the demon from there.
Still a really neat game dude! loved the animations also!

2) How can you pass the shield enemies?? Are they even beatable??
Yes, you can break their shield.

I have played the game again, and i have to say that the game is super hard and the fact that the cows can walk on air is extremely unfair, but other than that is a cool game!!
Really digging the funky music and overall style of this game! It would have been nice if you had the controlls displayed somewhere in the game. But good job on the game :)
The walk animation is silly, I love it! But some checkpoints would be nice, also the enemy ai would be better if the start chasing you when they see you, so the don't cling to a wall when you above them.
I liked it a lot, Even though I wasted 5 minutes finding jump and attack keys. The animation and art were really good combined with the music. PS I really hate that shield guy :D. I can actually see how much effort went into this and this might be the first game I have seen that has some form of cut scenes. Really a good game!

I really like the art, the backgrounds especially look really cool! Although, I kept dying because I would accidentally press space to jump instead of z :( That's probably just me being dumb though tbh
I cannot get past this point as these guys always block my way flying for no reason. I am not so sure what the less is more aspect is. but i like the music and sound. The main character has the same belly as me.
You can jump him, find the other guy, go back to the ledge, break his shield, and you can either kill them one hit at a time or escape.
Really cool graphics, and excellent audio. But my goodness is it tough. Enemies can kill you incredibly fast, and I got stuck on the first level, where there are two enemies right after the guy with a wall - they were positioned in such a way I could not get through without dying instantly, It's a shame because from what I've seen this game has a huge amount of content for a jam entry.
Yeah I've had sleepless nights because I put that there. Try not to get hit before going to that area, or you can pull off the frame perfect jump.
Having frame perfect jumps in the first minute of a game really isn't the best idea. But hey - you're definitelly not going to make that mistake ever again, so there's a lesson learned :)

Great game, nice graphics, music and sfx are really awesome, but the enemies are unfair, they are really fast and have too much hp, the last level is really hard/unfair. still a great job, and i beat it.
Good job. I regret making the shield enemies, as taking them out is a chore. I made an effort to make this game easier than my last game, and I succeeded, but I should have tried to even out the difficulty better.
This game is fun. I like the visuals and music.
really like the artstyle and general vibe, the cutscenes give the game a lot of charm. Not a fan of the enemies thou, they are too fast and don't have any special mechanic to shake things around, they just run towards you. The kart part is brutal, harder than the famous Battletoads bike level hehe. in short, this game has a wonderful style and vibe but it's hold back by some game design decisions
Congratulations, you're the first person to make note of the battletoads inspiration! Yeah, enemy ai has always been difficult for me, I think the enemies are a bit better in here than in my last game, but I'm still learning. Thanks for the criticism.

I like the art style and the soundtrack. I think there should be more checkpoints though.
This game has its style i have to say that reminded me of those old action games :D My only problem was that it is soul crushingly hard :/ Maybe giving some extra lifes or adding some kind of checkpoint can help. Other than this game stood out to me more than other games i have played in this jam :D
