thanks!
the take on the theme is because everything is made with 2d sprites even though it's a 3d game
that is not a bug, it's a feature, the snakes use ice dice which give a penalty to your roll by decreasing your luck. by the end of the snake round your luck is so low it's hard to roll anything higher than a 1. (we did this to add more stratagy) the two boxes beneath your energy are your draw deck and discard pile (they don't really effect game play too much) thanks so much for playing our game, glad you enjoyed it.
the scenery in this game is beautiful, and the concept is great! I never expected to see a sorry/trouble style game in this jam. But two small changes that would be nice: the scenery and UI sometimes get in the way so it's hard to see where all the pieces are sometimes. and it would be awesome to have an AI for the enemies for those of us who don't have 3 friends to play with. I understand that was probably out of scope for a 48 hour jam though. over all, good job, Great game!
thanks for your feedback. and yeah, other people have also said it was too slow. I probably should have done more play testing to give it better pacing. I had planned to make an endless mode where it got faster and harder until you died, and you try for a highscore, but I didn't have time to put it in. I feel like that would have fixed a lot of the pacing issues. maybe I will put it in after the jam.
the music was free on the unity asset store.
there's no karma score? it should be right under the score! and no, there is no sound effect or score loss for karma, all the karma does is change the cosmetics of the game (if you get - 10 karma you turn into a devil and +10 karma turns you into an angel)
the speed is determined by your total score (you go 5% faster every time you pick up a coin regardless of color)
no, there is no end.
it is procedurally generated, I made 4 chunk variations and each time you get to a new chunk it randomly picks the next chunk.
thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked it!
