not bad for a first game jam! it took me a few tries before I understood what was going on. I thought the point was to avoid the predators while trying to get food (which was pretty fun). but getting caught by the predators moves you up the food chain. so it's actually a good thing to get eaten?

really cool concept, and very creative! it would be nice if you could retry the dungeon you made without having to completely rebuild it.

this was a really cool idea! the squirrel riding on the foxes back while I ran around kinda gave me banjo kazooie/ratchet and clank vibes

thanks

nice game!

is there an upgrade store? or is it just clicking the pizza?

this game is awesome! played it for like a half hour! wall guys were annoying at first, until I realized I could build over/ behind them. THEN THEY WERE F**KED!!!

 ROFL

yeah, it pretty much just plays itself and you just buy upgrades

nice game, my first idea for a game was very similar to this.

just like normal Tetris, but stretchier.

cool game! wish it was more clear how high each block was though.

my winning strategy was to build a 9x9 grid to lvl1 around the king, then a 7x7 grid on top to lvl 2, and  5x5 grid to lvl3, then a 3x3 grid to lvl 4. then try to build up more but I quickly forgot how high each block was so I just started spam clicking everywhere until I died at 11+ minutes

very creative idea! and great visuals! the controls were pretty floaty and it was hard to get your character to go where you wanted. I literally laughed out loud when the rocket blew up at the end! that was hilarious!

thanks. I did have a few other upgrades in mind but didn't have time to put them in the game. and there is a button panel towards the bottom to change the speed of the game.

glad you liked it, I'll keep that in mind for my next game (or if I ever decide to take this one further)

thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I would have gave a better description if I had more time.

yes, I can see how that could be confusing, I had intended to give more instructions with a "how to play" page, but I ran out of time. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

good job! the backstory was a nice touch!

Good job guys! not bad at all for your first time in a new game engine. And the game fits the theme very well!

nice game!

graphics were really good! but I couldn't find out how to get the cheese!

gameplay was pretty fun and engaging but there was a game breaking bug that would send you to round 4/3 where the player can't move but your opponent can

nice game! I enjoyed it!
the art style was a little bit minimalistic in some places, but that also kinda gave the game it's own charm and style

yeah, it looks like the link expired. here is a fresh one: https://discord.gg/WGWs5KSe

I also updated the link on the jams main page

yeah, it was down when the jam started so I couldn't post the theme on here until I woke up, I did make a yt short announcing it and shared it in our discord server though.

the theme is "never coming back"

thanks!

the take on the theme is because everything is made with 2d sprites even though it's a 3d game

there actually is a limit. the bullet's disappear after 5 seconds if they don't hit anything. also, the red wall of death speeds up over time, and the zombies walk speed and spawn rate also increases. so if the game is too easy in the beginning, just keep playing and it will get harder

I couldn't get the game to work, the game opened to the title screen, but the play button wasn't clickable, I tried the enter and space keys too and they didn't load the next scene either. so either there's a bug, or I'm not smart enough to get it to play

CHEESE INDEED!

that is not a bug, it's a feature, the snakes use ice dice which give a penalty to your roll by decreasing your luck. by the end of the snake round your luck is so low it's hard to roll anything higher than a 1. (we did this to add more stratagy) the two boxes beneath your energy are your draw deck and discard pile (they don't really effect game play too much) thanks so much for playing our game, glad you enjoyed it.

pretty funny idea, but also pretty pointless and boring.

the scenery in this game is beautiful, and the concept is great! I never expected to see a sorry/trouble style game in this jam. But two small changes that would be nice: the scenery and UI sometimes get in the way so it's hard to see where all the pieces are sometimes. and it would be awesome to have an AI for the enemies for those of us who don't have 3 friends to play with. I understand that was probably out of scope for a 48 hour jam though. over all, good job, Great game!

pretty fun game, could have used a little more strategy. also switching back and forth between the mouse and keyboard was a bit tedious. but I loved the story line.

the whole game doesn't fit on the screen, even in full screen mode the edges were still cut off, so I wasn't able to figure out how to play

nah, they aren't stock characters, we just had an amazing art team, thank you for playing our game, so glad you enjoyed it!

fun game, it really made me think

fun game, and interesting mechanic, very enjoyable

nice game, I like it but I think more of an explanation in the beginning would help. I was half way through the game before I realized why I was winning.

thanks for letting me know, see if this one works

thank you, and yeah I didn't join the jam till friday so I didn't have a whole lot of time to think up a good way to use the theme.

cool game, even if it is a little buggy. I really like the art style, and the crafting mechanic needing nerds to complete was a nice touch.
