Could you please add weapons? Sniper , etc pls For the shark
An Oceanic Survival Game · By
Fish Traps and Spikes so the shark will get hurt when eating my stuff. A pistol would be a great addition with ammo craftable with metal scrap. Maybe a metal refinery would be good so we could make metal ingots and sheets to craft a gun. A bow craftable from wood and rope, arrows of leaf+wood+metal could give you 3 arrows. Just some ideas that would fit into the game. Thank you!
Currently, I've spent about 3 or 4 hours on this game. I've found out that having a day/night cycle would be amazing. When/If the day/night cycle is implemented, torches would be a given. We'll need oil found beneath the waves of the ocean to craft the torches. Along with cloth made from either, Thatch or a type of hide found on an island or in the barrels. Up-gradable hammer and axe to make better floors walls and traps to set to kill the shark. More resources, like iron, steel, pearl, rock, coral. Found under the ocean as well. Glass for a scuba mask can be caught with a fishing rod or a scoop you create the same as the hook.
Ok, i just played for a few hours and basicly i won, cuz there is nothing more to do. I suggest making it a larger area for the shark and debris. Also add a bed, ornaments, and base defences. Also would be fun for like bad weather, and even hurricanes to mess everything up. In that case maybe make some new walls that are super strong to withstand the hurricanes that take alot of materials and time to make. It would make it more indeapth if you could make night time too, and add a fireplace. Maybe add clothes to stay warm in certain weather:make it or even armor out of shark skin. :) ok im sure i can come up with a bunch of more stuff but thats a start :)
I'd like to suggest a sort of "peaceful" mode (sorry, Minecraft was the first thing that came to mind trying to explain this :P)
A mode where there's no shark and you can just create stuff without the worry of a shark gobbling it all up. I got so scared when I was just trying to make essentials and hadn't built anything and the shark came and ate a quarter of the raft ;-;
Maybe have two different physic properties to the raft that goes with previously stated difficulty ratings. On the lower two difficulties have the static version of the raft, but on the higher difficulties have a raft that need some sort of floating device that would be used to cancel out heavy sides.
Example: Put literally everything on the left side of the raft, the raft becomes heavy on the left, and starts to sink in, depending on what the player does the raft's left side could... I don't know snap off? or maybe it causes some sort of game over (player falls into water and cannot get back on the sinking raft, which then has the player become shark food?)
Charatcer customization would be cool to see as well.
Just brainstorming. Anyway loving the way the game is coming along. Keep up the work!
Hey, the game is very nice but I think we can make it better by perhaps adding night, it means you have to sleep in a bed. Mabie night could be cold, so you have to build a fire. adding falling damage as well would be a very good Idea, you know, things to make the game more interesting and a little bit harder in some way.
i'd like a nice looking fitting door to my small basic walls and wall windows i just made, a good door
or more options like more walls more window walls more trees to have different types of colors to the wood
more things to build ofcourse, before all this i want to tell you im addicted to the game i will give 9.5\10
reallly good job, better than minecraft haha
You know what we need on raft. much more tools and items. And something else. The item nets are OP so it would be cool if u can only take items from the nets like 10 times then it breaks and u have to repair it with wood. Not that u have to make another item net just to repair it after using it too much.
Loving your game! Well done!
I have a idea which maybe will be in future as its a bit complicated. Im guessing you are working on underwater already? Anyways if you ever get to that it would be awesome to swim down deep in the ocean and spear fish while collecting items. I had an idea for a item you could find. So you could add large/medium sized clam shells which you could use to build a rain collector. Maybe you need a plank and a shell and then you mount it to your boat and if/when it rains you can collect water from it! Also another idea would be to add weather. And also add fishing nets which you cast in the water and wait a while then after you get 2 to 5 fish if you're lucky.
Hello, please add:
- The Meaning of the game .Dont just to survive,And to survive for some time or swim away
- Time and weather
-varieties Sharks, fish, vegetables, trees
-The Bed, that is, the need for sleep
-multiplayer
-bow
-Speeding, Running
-clothing
- temperature
Sorry for my english, simply because the other country.Good game !!!
There are lots of ideas so let's get started and let me in the comments what do you think or add more.LOVE THIS GAME !
SPECIAL : Weekly updates like "The Forest"
1. Add waves and make the raft "float",move up and down with the water. Also why not Rogue Waves for a developed version where your Raft can be damaged.
2. Add NPCs : more sharks, bigger sharks, whales, trading posts on islands, birds, shipwrecked humans that you help.
3. A story when you start the game to tell you how on earth you got there ? Without any endings or such.
4. Achievements for building, acquiring, killing,etc...
5. Clothes made of shark skin (later updates maybe of gold that you gather from islands)
6. Add day/night cycle, rain, thunderstorm places where you leave the raft (they said the raft will me mobile:D) and gather very rare materials protected by Ancient Pigs with Golden Swords and then show off at others. Also whirlpools that you should avoid.
7. Climate and seasons when more materials come or they don't at all.
8. Furniture : bed, blinds, curtains, torch lamp...
Chest capacity increase or allow for bigger stacks when items are in chest, also having shift + mouse click to transfer stacks between inventories with ctrl + mouse click to split\transfer half stacks etc.
Slopped\Triangular\Ramp pieces for building
Random current changes, so you have resources arrive from different places
Trees take longer to grow for added challenge. Different types of trees that yield more of certain resource type
The game, so far, is amazing and I can see so much potential for it.
The main problem I have found is limited resources. So, what you could do is this:
- Add Tarp scrap to debris (With this you might be able to add a Rain Collector using tarp, planks and a tin can)
- Add day/night cycle, perhaps combined with the previously implemented dynamic lighting.
- A weather cycle. Rain storms could hit the raft and maybe damage parts, as well as pushing you off into the sharks' grips.
- Debris from destroying buildings. Countless times I have been placing foundations and walls and forgetting to rotate or place the pieces, thus annoying me when I do not get, perhaps, rope or thatch or planks back.
- I know this has been said previously, but possibly expand the opportunities for food and water.
- CROUCHING. I don't even know why I want this in the game... But I feel like it has to be said.
- Sprinting, however I will say that maybe if you are below a quarter full on either food or water (or both). Countless minutes have been spent walking slowly to the other side of my mansion to find that half my building gets wiped out by Jerry (my pet shark I will never kill because of my lack of being able to sprint to him
Thanks for reading,
- Toby <3
- Add Birds in game, to fly on the sky. Killing these Birds to drop 1 meat morsel (ex. calling: Pelican meat, or
something like that)
- Make possibility to craft a Bow with Arrows - Crafting 2 or 3 Arrows: (optional)1 Metal + 1 Plank (because the Plank and Metal are too big to craft only one Arrow)
- Crafting Bow: 1 Rope + 1 Plank
- Job: Hunting the Birds (ex. Pelicans)
- When you catch one Barrel, to get the stuff inside, BUT to remain in inventory this Barrel empty and to can put Barrel on, like one Chest. You can fill it with what you want. And.. Oh yeah, and to don't be stacked because this is NO REALISTIC.
Add the following news please:
-can reinforce structures with metal
-Most types of food and trees
-A system of automatic water collection.
-Button to crouch
-New sounds for the shark
- Shark defense system
-Cycle of day and night
-Camping to move overnight
-Harpoon
-furnace (more than 1 food in it)
-More spaces in the inventory
-can dive
-to be able to hit the shark with the axe
Hopefully the Developers reads all the Comments in this Thread. (Well, not all but, you know.)
First off, Day and Night Cycle really Important. Sure that you guys are working on this but, I'll just leave It here.
- a Way to Reinforce the Foundations, E.g Foundation ---> Reinforced Foundation ---> Metal Reinforced Foundation etc.
- Difficulty Options, with Increasing Sharks the Harder the Difficulty is Set.
- Breaking/Health Animations for Certain Objects If not, all. *Important* Since you wouldn't know when the Foundations are being Gnawed at and rendering the Repair Useless. Trees as well. (The Forest)
-Probably make the Foundation more Larger?
-Animations for the water! like, you know, Wavy! the Raft needs to be Wavy since It's floating on Water.
-Variety of Sharks? Megalodon :D
-Weather!
-Islands? Subnautica?
-Wreckage of Ships that you can loot on! and maybe find a Diving Suit or a Rebreather!
-Upgrade the Graphics? or is it Change the Engine? not sure but It'll be nice If you guys could really bring out the life on the Water since It's 90% Water (Unless you played for 2-4 Hours) anyways. Seeing Subnautica's Waters is really good.
-Temperature! when night, the Cold strikes. You'll need to stay Warm or else you'll die out of Hyperthermia and too much heat as well. Vice versa.
-Realistic Weights so that when you don't upgrade your foundation when you put certain Objects like the Tree farm? (Forgot the name) It won't Sink.
*Edit - and a Backpack as well. a Craftable one and one that you can find somewhere.
-Variety of food. (Though the Coconuts are enough to last your entire life killing Thousands of Sharks).
-Spoilage of Food and more Crafting!
*Eh, forgot one thing.. the Harpoon! where you'll find It on some Ship Wrecked Yatch along the way.
*I Forgot one again, SPIKES! or TRAPS for the DAMN Sharks to Gnaw into! they'll get stuck into It and have time to go the Shark and kill It! though If you are late, they'll get away and be More Aggressive Afterwards. Just to add a Few Seconds before they escape again.
*Sorry, Last one. Crafting! Bows, with a Variety of Arrows that you can Craft, a Reinforced one and a Metal Reinforced one. and on How long you have drawn the Bow, the More damage It deals. It's good for have the Shark stop gnawing the Foundation. best for when the Shark is Trap you can the one shot It. also good for hunting down Birds and Collect their Feathers. *Note* Feathers and Sticks are needed in order to Craft the Arrows. Planks = 4-6 Sticks and Feathers sometimes Drop on the Sky or when you hit Birds that Stops by to your Raft.
-Specific Storage for Objects :D Food Storage and what not.
That's all I Could think for now. :) hopefully this won't be another Stranded Deep.
More structures that can be interacted with i.e cooking stations that can combined foods with spices etc that are grown to create food that fills more hunger? Stations to create more tools/weapons for defending raft? More equipment for fishing?
Raft upgrades? Upgrade the raft from wood to stronger materials for shark attacks.
Lights?
Day/Night cycles? implement beds to speed up cycles.
Decoration blocks to spruce up buildings created on the raft?
build like small islands where u can pick some other stuff too
boat to move on water
you can kill shark to get food or skin from her (+ more sharks that are under water)
Clothes
Winter, Summer, Autumn Spring that cycle
to make metal structures (metal boat)
Make thing more realistic = food, lower its value and let it be rare, but alson let hunger gets lower
Day and night
Multiplayer would be great
Hello ! I sincerely adore your game, which has great potential, and I apologize in advance if the ideas have already been said, or if my English is bad, I use google translation! : 3
- To start, you should add some weather. For example, storms could destroy our home.
- Why not, add islands, to find some things not found at sea.
- Add electricity to make mechanics more perfomante, after that is not the most important, in my opinion.
- Add various kinds of sharks, with different capacities, or, add other marine predators which would be much more funny!
- ADD THE MULTIPLAYER.
- In case you did not read up, add the multiplayer!
- Put the Day / Night cycle
- Add sickness states, open wounds on the shark bites you.
Thank you for taking the time to read all this!
1. Multiplayer
2. Fixed a bug in the destruction of the box things disappear!
3. Add more options in crafting.
4. Add a line, the artist subjects.
5. The ability to breed sea creatures.
6. Add more animals.
7. Add a variety of weapons (bows, arrows, spear to the destruction of sharks, and so on ...)
8. PLEASE ADD THE NIGHT TIME DAY
9. Add the ability to fly around the world on his raft, but it turns out that the raft raft, just standing still.
10. Add the ability to find the boat, using №9 and loot
12. Add a combination of items, for example (3 in 1 stove bridge the large oven, the same with water)
13. Сhange the appearance of the hook!
Thanks to the developer of such an interesting game, it has a great future!
WHO agreed to these proposals PUT +)
The game would be more fun if there would be more things to build like tabels, beds and chairs. It would also be nice if there would be different seeds like carrots or tomatoes. It would also be fun if you could dive to the bottoom of the ocean to gather things like chests or so. Also, there could be different fisching rods that the player has to make to get better fish. New textures or different materials would be fun, forexample if you could add armor to your foundation so it is harder for the shark to destroy it.
Ps: Love the game, already made a huge raft with more than 15 floors. XD
hope you like some of the ideas.
Hello Mr developer I would like that you unsubscribed:
-Languages (such as French)
-Boats to go from island to island - new kinds of food (such as rice)
-Play with a controllers - add at night and therefore add a bed or can be a torch to light the night or a flashlight battery - powered add storm tides that destroy a little structure.
-Have a little less life.
-Have the possibility of improved its weapons - integrate the stone as new material
-Add a Thermostat
-Add doors, flower boxes, the table or we can put our screen shot of the game
-a combination to swim faster - a multiplayer mod online
-For food to become continental at a time
Thanks for the listen.
Good bye
Multiplayer? idk i think with a good bit of additions and a harder gameplay mechanic multiplayer would be fun and interesting maybe with voice but at least with text so you can possibly set up a way to communicate via vice like dicord or skype but have public and private options with 1 or more rafts that you would have to connect (if multiple) or transport boats for trade if you decide not to connect. with 2 rafts there would be the idea of glitches happening with sharks locking on tho structures how many there would be etc
but i think multiplayer could be very cool especially with higher difficulty and maybe different modes or game varients
Very Good game. But needs lots of fixes. For example: When you are Dehydrating it would be good if the personage no cough so much, wich is a little annoying. I would like the posibility of navigate and find an Island and do a kind of bridge that connect both. I´d like ambientation sound and songs depending the moment. When the shark is coming to you suspense you know. Of course the most big missing thing there is the Multiplayer... The multiplayer would be a very big step in the right direction. It will Attract so much players. with pve and pvp servers.

I think you should add some kind of multiplayer. The game is really enjoyable right now and i think the aspect of playing with your friends goes along way and for me atleast is what makes games fun!. This game is a really good on that i could see playing with friends and think it would be your best implementation to date.
HIYA! was playing the game this morning, Great fun. Cant wait to see this develop with time. for now one BIG thing i would say is make the food/water decrease time longer (so you don't have to eat/drink as often) also add more food types, Carrots etc and maybe more types of fish!
Can't wait to see this as the updates roll out!
I would like an "easy" option (especially helpful for those on a macbook). I also get that it is a survivor game but always sad to lose such a beautiful home I've built (here is where some secondary revenue could be earned). Not that we could lay down but furniture and roof. Perhaps even further into the game we could make it through a night/day/rain/wind scenario but I am sure the developers have already thought of such things.
Thx for creating this wonderful game. It has a lot of potential to become great.
Here a few ideas:
Roofs: Attacth them to walls and window wall
More food/plants to eat: More variety would be really cool
Different types of trees: this isnt has important but it would lok cool to have different looking houses
That's all from me now. Again thx for this great game.
I don't know if anyone had this particular idea, however(as opposed to some of the more complicated things others had mentioned):
- Simple physics, perhaps light waves.
- If there's too much weight on one side, the raft could start to tilt(and possibly tip).
(The weight thing might be too much, not sure)
How about an update where you can scuba dive with the right gear, of course. So we can discover more things like different sea creatures or an underwater abandoned cave to explore. You can add minerals to the cave and we can mine it to build more sturdy or rare items. You can also have like a rope to tie your raft to something so that it doesn't float away when you scuba dive. Just a thought~ great game btw!!!
Scuba seems unrealistic, given how much gear is involved, but snorkeling would work. Limited range (and your raft keeps drifting) and depth but still an opportunity to explore a bit while still keeping the world fairly small. Perhaps craft flippers to extend the range, add spear fishing (attracts sharks?) or perhaps clams/oysters that can be collected.
Recommendantions and ideas
More optimization more fish more food a little more difficulty because once you have a tree and you are like a god natural disasters (that the boat moves a lot, waves that push you that you have the shark hit you A flap to the boat (depends on the size of the bigger the slower the thrust) multiplayer and everything you want ;)
Please continue updating the game if I could donate I would do it but I do not have a credit card the game enchanted me since I tried it.
add more difficulty pls
my english is not awesome ..
I have made all of my suggestions on this document in Google docs: Raft Suggestions
I have three suggestions that I would like to share, and hopefully influence the game's progress in a minor (very minor) way.
-Different Types of Hammers
What I'm thinking for different types of hammers is that making a different hammer affects the material (and by extension the weight and material needed to hold up floors and possibly walls) the structures are made of. This would in turn affect their strength and resistance to sharks, seasons as other people have said, and something I'll mention next.
-Hostile NPCs and Advanced Combat
This may sound unrealistic (and trust me, I know it is) but it would be neat to have other, hostile (and possibly themed) Rafts come your way where they will use their hook or something new added to bring their Raft closer to yours to attack you. They could also loot and grief your ship. Going along with the themed idea, maybe some could have rare loot like new materials or extra food/scrap depending on their theme and maybe, just maybe, a rare shark tamer.
-Sanity or other Stats that would matter in a Stranded At Sea Situation with No one around
Lengthy title eh? Anyways, as the title says, a Sanity or other trait meter would be added in addition to the health, hunger, and thirst meters. Although it is quite self-explanatory and a bit too close of an idea to Don't Starve, it could effect other meters as well, like faster hunger and or thirst, slow damage, impaired or hallucinogenic vision, etc. This could also be a temperature meter, which would affect other stats as I've said with the Sanity meter.
Thank you for reading these suggestions by me
-S
Hello! I would like to give you some ideas for the game. 1) Sound options, the sound is very low and when it attacks the shark does not sound good. 2) in gameplay, cycle day and night, weapons like javelins or harpoons, serious good, more vegetables, seagulls to come and take your plantations or food, slingshot to kill them or to drive them away. These are my ideas, it would be good to work In these ideas and in the future put them in the game
Hi! I really like this game(Raft)and it has lot of potential. I would just like to suggest some challenges about the game. I hope the developers add some weather input like there will be storm that can damage your raft because of the strong wind, rain and waves. Blizzard, the ocean will be solid ice that you won't be able to fish and collect stuffs floating and starve for days(adding day and night will be awesome by the way!) so you need to store food. the survivor should also rest/sleep. and while he's resting, pirates(optional) will stole some of his stuffs. and add some more upgrades in the materials! I hope this game will continue!!i really love it!
let me express my feelings....... I LOVE THIS GAME!!
1. It is atmospheric
2. nice graphics
3. never actually gets boring (for me)
4. limitless
5. just all around amazing
I wish I had the cash to help you out, because it would be amazing if you added multiplayer to the game, if you did I promise you 100% that everyone would like it, i mean like it's a simple game with simple concepts but has not alot of bugs and pretty interesting, like how the shark always comes by and destroys your foundation and how it takes time to kill that shark, of course if you added a backstory to the character it would be 10 time better. A friend and I love playing this game and if you are able to add at least 10 players (friends) into one game i am sure of you i would create a whole civilization, i rate this game at a 10/10 but of course there is that one bug that when you're on the net's edege it glitches a bit and thinks that you're in water. But all in all a wonderful game.
of course when you record a video it gets laggy so if you are able to fix that it would be awesome (of course i am using a mac cuz it gets laggy as hell but if you can fix that........ idk what would happen, i hope top youtubers find this game and play it)
Ps. hope this game becomes a hit :)
I think there should be a button added to transfer all items at once like when you have a bundle of 10 wood you can hit T to transfer it all at once to your hand or crate instead of dragging and dropping because it can get annoying to have to keep going back and forth to move stuff and time consuming also it has to be right over the square you want to drop it in to be put there and if you let go it goes back to storage. Also think there should be an option to upgrade your storage by crafting upgrades to your self storage and crate storage. Also had a problem not being able to move anything after you place it, you end up having to destroy it and waste materials to build another so there should be an option to move it also can't destroy cooking stations. I think if you destroy something it should drop half the materials you used on it instead of just disappearing.
Hey I Thought up some things that i think could really change the way the game works!
Building
1.Doors
2.Candles
3.Floors should have to be attached to a pillar not floating diagonally of one.
Tools
1.Bow and arrows
2.Fishing net
3.Scuba gear (Different parts of gear found in ocean?
Gathering
1.Add cloth that needs to be dried?
2.Metal
Misc
Weather that makes you go indoors for safty
Now i know this would be alot of coding but you could nurse a bird or something so it would help you gather?
Local multiplayer
I have repeated some of my previous ideas but I did it because i think they could be real cool aspects for the game and i know its hard making a game as cool as this but From what i have seen you work real fast. I thought it would take alot longer for you to make the chest but you made it alot quicker than expected! You seem really good at what you do and whatever your working on I am sure your doing a good job at it so by all means just tell me to stop because i have wrote alot and i don't care if you ignore me so yeah!
This game is awesome. my few ideas are: range, perhaps a flimsy bow with crafted arrow, all the way up to a mounted ballista because.... pesky shark. I would love some kind of breeding in farming to get better food, fishing tiers and bait would be great.
Oh and also: reinforced foundation, i imagine a foundation surrounded my metal, takes three shark attacks to "kill" mabye you need a ballon to keep it afloat.
Not sure if anyone has suggested this, but what about sunstroke? It could be an environmental threat, alleviated by spending time in shade from structures or palm trees, thus adding more reason to grow them.
The difficulty with that, as well as the need for warmth in a day/night situation, would be balancing the early game when you're scrambling for resources to feed yourself, stay hydrated, and have a big enough raft to put other features on. It's pretty easy to die during that period as it is.
You are right. It has nothing to do with surviving. But I think its kind of boring to use the "normal" stuff to survive every time. You don't know why you are on this raft. Maybe you live in another year where you have cool techology? For example a machine that generates a portal? Why has everything to be logical? If you don't like it, maybe they can add this to a special event.
Dive in the water to find some item;submergend boats in the watter with some items;door;fish;strange plants;islnads;octopus;underwater caves;repair the shadow to see all body;animations for example:jump in the water, dive, etc;decoration for example:bed,chair,table;flashlights/torch for the night and a story for know how the man/girl reached to survive on the ocean.
Sorry for my english if i write wrong somewhere.
Cool!...builder mode salvage game. I like it ! I suck at hooking flotsam though.lol.
I tried it on my little Acer laptop [ AMD Athelon 64,1.6GHz,3200 graphics,2.75 usable RAM, 64 bit ] and it does good on 'simple' setting . 2fps and a bit jumpy. I suck at hooking flotsam though.lol. A ? placable ? water current detector ( float with a string ) or a compass , might limit the time spent spining around and waiting to see where things are headed .
I'm guessing the 'fog' is the toss limit and no point in removing that. Is the raft stationary , or does it shift with and unseen current?
Is there a plan to add achivments ?( pop up for builder 2nd story, shark killer, farmer, architect and the like. )
*One thing i did notice is that the game does not pause on crafting screen. * major bummer when just starting out.
Adding a bit of commetary to the actions may brighten things up a bit. Crafting spear triggers " this will be a fun little surprise " Spear to 'use' ..." here fishy ,fishy fishy' catch while fishing " Lunnnch! ". Missing / shark eats raft ;" well that's a revolting development"
Planting tree : lovely bunch of coconuts or some other fun ditty.
Perhaps a day/night and weather cycle. eg. night its more dangerous and bad weather you 'get ill' from being outside in the cold and rain too long and a way to get around that without having to build a hut of sorts would be to have a small fire. And in really sunny days your need for water goes down faster. Also make it harder so it takes to to get a comfortable, big raft. and to let all the needs go down slower in normal times
If the underwater idea is going to be implemented it would be cool to have items/accessories/WEAPONS that are only obtainable as secrets that you have to find underwater in certain areas. Kind of like easter eggs that have to be found but the weapons can have different rarity levels and looks. Something i wanted to throw in :)
How about a floor with a hole in it so you can build a ladder or get water for your water pourifier inside your home. I wanted to make a hole in the corner of the house so i can easy get water, but when i do there becomes a big gap with no walls or floor. It could be better if you could make just a floor with a hole in it, so you still can put walls on it and get water or even fish.
I think Later on In the Game There Should Be Away were you can stop the shark, maybe not for good but away to stop it for a certain amount of time so you can focus on building up your raft and resources, i also think there should be a unlock system were you can unlock things for your raft as you go along playing the game
Night and Day. Have a day counter. Every ten days your raft should be attacked by multiple sharks the amount of sharks should get larger every ten days. You should get cold at night so you need clothes/fire. In the day it should get too hot so you need to find shade or make a fan from palm leaves/ light clothing made from thatch.
I've had time to read through some of the posts but not all, so sorry in advance if any of these have been mentioned or already planned.
Quick thanks:
Loving this game so far, well done to the team for trying to keep up with our demands - it's just cause the game is so addictive despite how early on it is!
A few suggestions: (I tried to keep them simpler to be more realistic)
1. Durability on items, and repair.
2. Chance for crabs in nets that you have to kill as they'll attack you.
3. Spear upgrade (could make a workbench for upgrades, and then pebbles to barrels to make sharpening stone) and weapon variants (like a retrievable javelin using rope that could be used at range to deter sharks for a bit).
4. Seagull/ seabirds that steal your potatoes/ food.
5. Better night/ day cycle and torches/ fire and cold damage? Means that it would make it challenging to fend off sharks at night.
6. Other survivors adrift, so when/ if you save them you have to have enough food and water to keep them alive too!
7. Beds to rest in (getting tired causes fatigue) and then when you're resting other survivors would fend off base)
8. TRAPS/ bait - to ward off sharks
9. Lobster cages.
10. Rain? Only problem then is teh lagg 😭
11. Reel in fishing line not knowing what's on it and then a fairly high possibility for a swordfish or something (just more damage sources basically
12. More woodwork, more craftables
13. Shipwrecks (to find linen, different timber that is more durable and just other shiz)
14. A floating football to draw a smiley face on 😂
15. Lightning and then water bucket?
16. A happiness factor?
17. First aid (bandages from lines, using saltwater as an antiseptic - which makes it useful again after coconuts, yay!)
These last 4 are a little more ridiculous, though some of the previous were too...
1. Islands! As you are drifting you spot them, or you could just build a boat and keep going until you find them! But make them uninhabitable at night or something (monkeys/ crabs/ whatever) and then be able to anchor raft so as not to find it gone when you leave the island :L
Islands could have hostile natives and stuff too? You could make seeds only available on islands?
2. Pirates! I won't say anymore because it might make you cry.
3. I know it's been said before, but the option to co-op with a friends or two - hosting with hamachi or something?
4. Mini games and scoreboards? That's a meh one, but the catching of shiz as it goes by was almost a game in itself 😂
i think you can add a death animation and languages
note: im no so good in english, sorry for the gramatical mistakes
when you die, is game over, thats it, but... why you dont add a dead animation?, if you die for the shark, you will see how are going to the bottom of the ocean and see the blood mixing whit the water when your vision goes to black, if you die in the raft, you fall on it and the screen goes to black, but if you die close to a side of the raft, you fell out of the raft and start to float in the ocean and see the sky before the screen goes to black, also add some kind of languages, like spanish and french for people that are not good in english (like me)
thanks for the game, add make it more leght, for laptops like the mine
The update/idea I'm thinking off is called the Defense Update:
Adds 6 new items:
Adds 3 new settings.
Adds 2 new BIG features.
Thank you so much for reading this, I hope it get's added into Raft. Raft Developer, if you would please read this, it would be amazing, same goes with other accounts. Thank you again, and make sure to comment down below for other ideas/fixes to this thread.

I love this game, but when I first got started, and had to use a hook rather than just nets, the 2d-ness of the scraps and thatch made the items hard to see in the distance(thatch in specific). I like the look of those items, but maybe make them have some height, be more colorful, or have some sort of outlined edges, so they could be more visible in the horizon. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Hey im up to the point in the game where i have 3 chests filled with metal 4 chests filled with wood enough food to last forever water is easy to get and i have enough thatch to last me decades i think it would be nice to be able to make
Ladders
the ability to reinforce stuff with scrap and metal (ill tell you an idea for metal later)
Maybe a smelter to smelt scrap into metal and metal into other stuff then you can extend it to whatever you want
Harpoon to hit the shark once then it will go away it will take make the one harpoon shot go away then you will need to make more amunition you can make it as hard as you want to make the harpoon amunition
night time
storms that can damage your structures
damage indicators
damage to your tools
i know not all of these will be added but i love the game i love the idea and i would love to see this on steam and you guys earning money thankyou for all the time and effort youve put into this!
Add artifacts. For example, a broken radio and part of it, or a broken phone, or a bottle with a message. So the game will be more atmosphere. Say: find all the pieces of a broken radio. Trying to find the radio signal. There were disturbances. You hear a voice. But suddenly the battery dying. And that's it. So as with telephone and letter in a bottle. It will be very atmospheric.
Also add alternation of day and night.
Dear developers. The game gets really interesting. At this stage of the game is not quite a lot of different things. Later in the game I would like to see some things, such as a boat. Just add the island on which it would be possible to swim in the boat. Add the secret places where players have been waiting for a very rare thing. For example what that weapon or tools for upgrading your home on the water. I am a Russian player. The game really liked me. Very nice graphics and nice gameplay. Thank you very much in advance. I'm sure you'll have to create one this game more popular. Just my advice to you. Add the game in Steam. It will be much more downloads, and many players will play the game. thank you very much
Adding an end game or another objective other than just surviving and avoiding the shark, like an eventual rescue perhaps.
Adding more solid walls, floors, roofing. "customisation" type stuff.
Add fish to spear possibly, as well as adding some other fish to come off the rod.
Adding more materials, to diversify the crafting as well as give the possibility of other items like rubber and plastic leading to things like a rubber boat: for the following suggestion.
Adding islands to swim to/paddle to, perhaps finding other materials to build things out of.
New breeds of shark/quantity of sharks.
More ruthless shark nature, notices you are not stabbing it to keep it away and attacks more frequently and vice versa.
Birds, add some birds, surely there are some seagulls or something wanting to steal your coconuts?
Temperature bar, all that cold water and no warm place to stay must be making you sick, right?
Clothing, even just a seaweed shirt and pants to protect from the sun, or a shark bite.
Night time/day time cycle.
Furniture, more specifically a bed for the night time cycle.
Pets, i want a pet seagull or a pet crab or a dolphin friend to help keep the shark away.... or even a shark to keep the sharks away?
Random items that could have washed out to sea, a floaty, a tennis ball, plastic bottles.
All just suggestions, but theres a large potential for this game and it takes one or two good ideas to make a good game better.
These are my list of Features to make a good game Better!
* Update The player Model! Even if Basic, It's better than two floating arms.
* Make Breaking Stages for the foundations! It would look heaps Better and you would be able to tell roughly how broken they are.
* Multiplayer! this is a must, It would be Heaps better if i could play with my friend. We could Survive, Together!
* Jackpot! Every now and then something should happen. Something that makes survivors jump in joy.
That's my list! "Upvote" so These Features can be added Later on!
make so your tools can break if you use them too much!!!! i would love that so when you make like an axe breaking some builds or cuting wood would bring the durability down and eventually it will break so you have to craft a new one and please add a craffting table so you can craft more things i mean all you can craft witout it is tincan rope crafting table and add artifacts like a broken bottle or yeah just junk. I WOULD LOVE SEEING ANY OF THESE OR MY OTHER THINGS FROM OTHER COMMENTS! so dear developer make one of these things a thing. that sounded weird...
The game is almost perfect, but needs some improvements and implementations. For example: After some time, reduce the amount of items that arrive in the sea current, to make the game a bit more difficult; Make an implementation so that items like cups and food are put to roast or boil directly from the inventory, without the need to put them in hand. Increase the resistance of the character a little because the character gets hungry and thirsty very fast.
