That food game looks great! BTW, sushi fan! Great game! BTW, Windows firewall keeps spamming me that the program wants to access the network, is it a bug?

Developer(+1)

We don't experienced the network issue on our Win 10 system. I don't know why that happen but we definitely don't have virus putting in our game lol. Thank you so much and glad that you like our game!!

Submitted(+4)

Game looks really nice, and all those jumpy animations. The main menu could have some animations to match the game's alive look. Really good job!

Developer

Thank you so much!! Yes we want to keep unity on mechanic, animation and music so that you can get a better rhythmic experience. I am happy that you like those animations! :D

Great Presentation and gameplay. Felt like being the conveyer belt in the Lickitung Pokemon Stadium minigame haha!

Developer(+1)

Haha I didn't play that minigame before but I will take a look! Thank you so much and glad to know that you like our game :D

Submitted(+4)

This an amazing interpretation of the theme, but the execution is at a whole other level! Really spectacular!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! Glad you like it! I also played your game yesterday and really enjoyed it !

Submitted(+3)

Love the art and design of this game. I really like the concept and had a lot of fun playing the game. The music was very well chosen :D

Developer

Thank you! As the artist of this team I am very happy to know that you like my art. The music is also original, I will tell our musician you like his music :D

Submitted(+3)

Sometimes I felt like I was pressing the inputs at the right time but it still didn't worked, but besides that I loved the art and the game was really fun!

Developer(+1)

Yes, the customer actions is not precisely matched with the beat. Because when the beat drop, we cannot determine sushi and animal behavior which one comes first. So all the animal movements were taken half beat later. Hope later we can promote and figure out a better way to synchonize beats and animations. Happy to hear that you like the game! Thank you!

Played with pleasure, beat and flow are awesome in this game!

I would add interfaces for food appearence and customer patience (it was unclear how many beats do i have till new roll will uppear or till this exact customer will go away).

Developer(+1)

Yes you are right, thank you for your advice! We plan to add patience UI on top of the head of animals but we afraid that too many visual elements appear in the gameplay and that will be chaotic to players. Hope we can figure out a better solution.

Great music and art. I really like rhythm based games. The idea itself is quite simple but I like it.

Developer

Thank you! Your game has a simple and unique style as well!

Submitted(+1)

Nice, I'm bad at it but it's fun and well made

Developer(+1)

Thank you! If you tried for a few more times you will rapidly figure out how to click on the beat. Glad you like it!

This is awesome. One of the best games in this jam. I absolutely love this. Beautiful, beautiful art and music, great gameplay, and amazing use of the theme. I love it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Glad to hear that you like it. I played your game yesterday and that is a great game! Remind me of Paper Please but in a more direct way.

Submitted(+2)

As a game in 48 hours it's just amazing, I recommend everyone to play

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback!

Good rhythm games in jams are a rare gem, and this one is really cool! I love the simplicity of the mechanic. You quickly get into the groove, it's very satisfying to do all actions on beat. Although I had the feeling that the customers actions were off-beat? Idk, it felt a bit weird. But other than that, lot of juicyness, and the increase in difficulty feels natural. The art and music are really sweet as well. I had a great time playing it!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Wow thank you for the feedback! Yes, the customer actions is not precisely matched with the beat. Because when the beat drop, we cannot determine sushi and animal behavior which one comes first. So all the animal movements were taken half beat later. Maybe we can make them more synchronized in the future, such as make animals waiting for a frame before moving.

I remembered that I played your game the day before yesterday, and I really appreciate that you come back and enjoyed our game!

That was super cool & cute! A really surprising combination of DJ and sushi, so fun.

Developer

Thank you! Glad to hear you like it. Your game also has a cool & cute artstyle and I really like it.:)

Submitted(+3)

Super cute and fun! I didn't get past the first level, but it was still really fun and a great concept!

Developer

Thank you for playing! It's nice to see two comments from the same team :)

Submitted(+3)

It's so cute! I did have some issues as the game sped up where there wasn't enough sushi to go around though. Overall great job!

Developer

Thank you for playing! The reason for this is the combo mechanic. The higher your combo is, the faster sushi spawns. If you break the combo, the spawn rate will drop to the basic rate which is spawn one sushi every 3 beats.

Submitted(+1)

That makes sense! Thank you!

Submitted(+2)

The music and visuals are amazing.. and it's a fun game!
I do think getting 1000 score for the next song is a little too much, and in a lot of times i found myself with no sushi to give to customers, probably because i blocked the spawner.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you like it! Blocking the spawner could be the reason, but it's probably the combo mechanic. The higher your combo is, the faster sushi spawns. If you break the combo, the spawn rate will drop to the basic rate which is spawn one sushi every 3 beats.

Yo! This game hits it head on. Music, Visuals, Design. Even just the build-up and intro had me hyped up. Cool concept and fun delivery.

Not sure if it would be good, but I found myself wanting to do half-steps all the time between the beats of the rhythm. Also it didn't seem to give me enough sushi to hand out later on, but maybe you get more if you keep the combo going?

Very cool game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! The spawn rate of sushi is related to the combo, the higher your combo is, the faster sushi spawns. If you break the combo, the spawn rate will drop to the basic rate which is spawn one sushi every 3 beats.

Submitted(+3)

Super Cool! Really enjoyable and looking super cute!

This game definitely has a lot of potential. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+3)

That was a lot of fun!! The cute and cozy art/music complements your concept very well. I'd say the gameplay is almost meditative -- until the customers get angry, anyway! Very well done :)

Developer(+1)

Haha I hope you had enough sushi to serve those customer when you play. (The more precise you drop the beat, the quicker the sushi spawn.) As the artist of this team, I am glad that you love the art style. Thank you for playing!

Submitted

Oh, I didn't realize that the sushi spawns more frequently if you stay on beat! That's a really great touch. Fantastic work, guys! :D

Submitted(+3)

This is amazing for a 48 hour game jam, really solid gameplay, combining the beats with the input seems to be quite hard to do and the polish in this is awesome, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback! Actually we used Wwise to combing the beats with input, but I don't know the techincal detail because I am not the programmer of our team. But you can try wwise next time when you want to build a rhythm game. Glad you like it!
