REALLY satisfying. The prediction shot is SUPER useful! Although, there doesn't seem to be a point to going faster. Also, it'd be super useful if the arrow from our last predicted shot saved, so that we can make a predicted shot, look over to see where it hit, and keep the place where it shot from.

Overall, great game!

Amazing entry! The sound was great, and the prediction mechanic came very handy in the most "lethal" steps of some levels. Visuals are simple but perfect for the game. Good level design.

I loved this, great job!

Really cool! I love the simplistic gameplay and art style too!

While I really enjoy the gameplay, I'm not quite sure in what way the AI is involved here and how we collaborate. Are the levels generated?

Pretty cool regardless! :)

the way i tried to make it fit the theme is via the shot prediction mechanic but thats not super obvious as other people have noted haha

It's so nice to finally see how this turned out after seeing teasers on discord! The movement and juice are phenomenal, the graphics look great, especially that transition!!!

If there was one thing I would change, I would lower the mouse-oriented camera motion a tad since it messes with aim and the prediction, plus motion sickness for some people I guess

But this is definitely one of my favorites!!! 10/10.

I saw this in development on the discord, I am very pleased with your progress, color pallette, and overall gameplay! Amazing work! :)

Simple yet very fun. Sadly i can't find any connection to the game jams theme.

Very fun, why do I love this so much? If you wanna I would gladly help turn this into a full Mobil game -

Absolutely incredible entry. The game is damn snappy, the concept is unbelievably simple but so much fun because you tweaked everything just right. Also the attention to detail in the wiggly fonts, the screen transitions and the fading speed-particles is phenomenal. It’s a coherent style like any artist would develop over time.

Two things that I still wanna point out:

  • I never used the shot-prediction. Not because I didn’t want to (it’d have been of great help in the later levels, which seemingly were designed around it), but just because I forgot it. It’s just one lil text that tells you the controls for it right at the start when you soak up all the other information to play the game. Because it is not instantly relevant, it falls behind. If you include the tutorial just a level later (the rightclick can still be active in the first level - just don’t explain it yet), the player had time to acclimate to the game and learn more information about it.

  • I loved going fast because it wasn’t just lame old boring “fast”, it was blazingly fast. Absolutely incredible. But I still would have liked something that made the balls speed relevant. Some moving obstacles like in the Donkey-Kong-country barrel sections or similar. Right now going fast (or slow for that matter) lost its value because it wasn’t connected to a skill the game tried to test.

Buuut that is super nitpicky, so don’t mind me. Phenomenally well done!

thanks for the feedback! ive heard a few times the game doesnt allow you to utilize the fast move speed enough so definitely in a post jam version im gonna add a few levels with more movement, the dk-country esque moving platforms you suggested sound like a great idea! and ill definitely make the shot prediction text more clear, level 2 seems like the place to put it :)

Very cool game, with some great and clean visuals!

The beginning moving text is a bit hard to read. I think if you were trying to make the words pop-out more so it would be easier to understand, maybe changing the color of the text would've done the job without sacrificing clarity.

I noticed that the camera is set to always be pixel perfect, in which it will jump to make sure the resolution is always correct. While this is a good way to keep pixel art games looking consistent, I think that the overall resolution of this game is too small to implement this, since then the camera moving feels very jarring.

I only learned about the holding right click to lock the camera, I think this should be said within the tutorial, since It's a very important thing to have when trying to aim, since many times throughout I would often wait for the camera to catch up before using a prediction to make sure it would be accurate. Overall, I think that the camera should actually be inverted, so the default camera is locked onto the ball, and holding right click is what lets you extend your view.

The movement is very satisfying, especially with the sound buildup on multiple bounces. It is very well implemented and makes players want to get longer chains.

I think that a lot of the levels had moments of blind shooting, which would lead into a corridor with spikes and it felt mostly luck if you would stop or die. Maybe have more ability to see where you are going to go, or a more solid way of stopping the ball when going very far distances.

It would be cool to maybe see a timer or something, not to force the players to complete within a specific time, but to instead have players get the lowest time they can. Which rewards players for playing faster and not using the prediction.

Although, I don't see how this fits the AI theme.

Overall very cool!

It's a really good game. It has a very simplistic style and the mechanics feel nice. I'm guessing the prediction system was supposed to represent the Ai part but  it doesn't feel like a core concept of the game.

Really fun and polished game, but not fitting whit the theme

solid game, but not fitting with the theme?

Very fun but I don't see how this fits the theme "Collaborate with AI".
