How was your experience with Mini Jam?
the limitation was terrible because 1 hit kills means A. your game has to have combat, B. your game can't have mechanics like health and damage in it

I think its bad but that's subjective I think it can do better if the bullets had a recharge and the enemies move faster

I liked the game after some time playing it. In the beggining I felt there wasn't much of a challenge but when more monsters started to spawn I had a blast.

Only issue is that while moving, the shooting goes in the incorrect direction making it a little bit hard to aim. But the game is fun for just 5 hours of work, great job!

Nice art and choice of music. I really like that the background change when you going deeper, and at some point, you make the sight tighter. Keep up the good work!

music and art fit together.

it was fun!

This was really cool!! Nice choice of assets and music, and the whole game felt really smooth and polished! Definitely impressive that you put all this together in just 4-5 hours. So good, keep up the great work!

A decent little shooting game with very very satisfying sound design. Well done!

Interesting mechanics, it had a very smooth sensation in general

cool and simple game!

I liked the randomized monster designs, although shooting and moving at the same time is glitched and inaccurate. I made it to 816 on my first attempt. The background music repeated twice and the transition was a little jarring, but it was good for the 4-5 hours that were used on this game. Overall I enjoyed the short experience.

Vry fun game, the art is simple, the music slaps, there is some bugs in the shooting mechanic but it dosnt affect the gameplay that much, good luck on the jam

4-5 hours?? man, it may be simple but it looks super stylish and the sounds are great. I’ve had these kind of busy weekends where you don’t have time… and then I always think “imagine that I had 48 hours to add more”: power ups, rocky obstacles, treasures, etc…

Very fun and well balanced. However, the vignette isn't centered on the player. Overall good entry!

Maybe it's not the best game out there, but for the limited time you had to produce this it still had some fun visuals.  Only thing I'd have done differently was not make the enemies' eyes visible when the area grows dark; the game felt a bit too easy and I quit at around 500 meters.

you quit right before it got hard. was the house on fire?

No, I thought that was going to be it.  I didn't think it was going to get harder.  XD

As you've admitted, not the best outcome.

Well to us the best part was the variations over the monsters and the surprise with the "dark" coming along! But at that point, seems unfair that monsters coming from top/bottom have the same speed of the left/right ones but less "time on screen" and so they take us by surprise!

Thank you for reviewing "Attack on the SeaSide"

Your game is amazing!! The concept of  going deeper inside makes the visibility low makes the player quite happy!! Good luck for the jam<3

An interesting top down shooter. The graphics are cool! I like it!y

A fun little game. I liked the particle effect used for the bubbles. I also liked how the difficulty was increased by decreasing the light as you went deeper. It was a good combination of gameplay and aesthetic
