The art was so good and the limitation was also cleverly used. Cool experience!!

Use of the limitation
The limitation is incorporated into the story, as my game doesn't have combat. "It died in one hit" is a crucial aspect of the plot.

None... I want some!
How was your experience with Mini Jam?
I wish I could have made music for this. It feels so quiet... Blegh, if only I had time!! I started too late!

This was so good! The art was great. I loved the simple get-the-point-across art as well as the illustrations. That ending tho 😭
I love the charming artwork in this one! Using the limitation to serve the story and the characters was also a really smart way to include it. And sure, while I agree that music could have maybe made this stronger, I like to think this specific story still carries some weight despite a lack of it. Either way, great work! :D
Aww. Such a sweet little story! I loved the art of the little house floorplan and the cut scene pictures - they were so well done for being in simple monochrome. And your transitions - such a cool effect!
The story was touching, too. I feel sad for the poor mage. If only the limitation hadn't been "dies in one hit," perhaps they could have become friends. But...alas... :)
Well done!
Thank you so much!! c: I'm so glad you think so!! Drawing the maps and cutscenes was so fun with all the constraints of color and size. I had so much fun!
And yeah, poor Wren! :< If only... Maybe in a brighter timeline they were friends! In the timeline where the jam had a different limitation
Thanks a lot!! <3 I'm so glad you like it!!
Amazing story and art-style. The text box effects are also very impressive. In my opinion, the lack of music helps add to the ambiance of the setting, especially towards the end. Keep up the good work.
Ahhh, nice use of limitaiton. The artwork was so damn clean. I loved the home, the beach animation and the wavy scene transitions. Very beautiful use of dithering. So cool.
I really liked the art style and how the limitation was used.
nice work!
Very fun game, but so there's something i healp with. I've been farming Gold scales but i never seem to level up. The drops sell for a lot, though the dealer is shady looking.
... what do you mean endangered species? Oh um.. well then, .. i was um, joking, yeah, joking .
Omg the amount of personality and depth you were able to squeeze into this game with such limited colors is absolutely amazing. I loved it!
That was a rather thoughtful use of the limitation.
I wish I could be a mage living in a seaside cottage, Very creative interpretation of the limitation, I like it! Very pleasing art style and intriguing story, I wish you had time to make it a longer! Great job!
I loved the artstyle (like a lot!) , it is something different and peaked my interest. The story itself was interesting, but I found it sad that I wasn't able to do anything besides walking. I would have loved to be able to interact or do something (maybe the fight between those two? to get more immersed in the story (music helps with that too)). Soooo I'm looking forward to more games in this artstyle with more interaction :D you can definitely work with that!
Thank you so much!! <33 I'm so glad you like the art!! And you're absolutely right, I'm gonna try to make the next ones more interactive!! Thank you!! :Dc And yeah, I really wish I could've made music for this game, but I sadly ran out of time... I might make some music for it after the jam is over just for fun! Thanks a lot again, I appreciate the advice and the compliments a lot!! <3
So cute! I love the cutscenes and the dialog boxes. You made the visual-novel gameplay fit the theme and limitation well. Ahh the monster was so adorable I'm so sad Wren had to hurt him :(
Great Jam!
As a classic bitsy project, it's more a novel than a game but... The use of the features you had: quite impressive! Well done on the writing itself, the story was really intriguing till the last moments!
Loved the way the theme was used :-)
