How was your experience with Mini Jam?
It was a good jam. The limitation threw us for a loop, then our other two programmers dropped out. Overall, we made it, and we're happy with what we've got.

Thank you so much! We needed to do a lot of updates pretty quick, but I'm feeling happy with what we have for this jam now. Playing your game now and loving it so far.

This was so fun!! I LOVE those bird character designs so much! <3 I adore Brawk, he's so cute!!!!!! Definitely my favorite! The shoulder parrot thing was hilarious, I love it. :'D

Having to use both mouse and keyboard for the dialogue at all times was a hassle, but that's okay. I got a little lost in the story a few times (and I wish there was a save point, Brawk punched me like three times and I restarted each time) but other than that I had a lot of fun!!

I'm happy to see another story game in the jam, this was super fun!! I love it!

Nice story, hilarious dialogue, limitation incorporation was awesome. I'd probably go down in one punch too if I'm being honest.

Reminded me so much of Monkey Island in the best way.

Thank you!!

I liked the dialog (and dialog style). The dialog controls were a bit annoying - sometime with the keyboard and then back to the mouse. Also the z-order really triggered me :D but all in all nice work, with a little cleanup this could become quite a nice game

Nice story, it's funny when the MC got punched and dies. and you should also put a sound effects, so it won't be so silence that makes the game feels boring. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Very nice sprite work and an enjoyable sense of humor. An interesting take on the limitation!

I liked the story, loved how you end up riding brawk, took me a while to find out how to speak, sound and layering would improve this a lot

Cute little game! I loved the convenient narrator.

Great game!  I liked finding out (through trial and error) the right path through.  I'm sure you're aware of the Z-ordering issues, but one suggestion that might be original is just allow for keys to 'continue dialogue'.  e.g. press space, nav choices w/ arrows, etc.  Cheers!

Not a bad idea, I like the look of the game. Layering needs more work though and some sound would be nice

Developer

We had great music and sound effects that did not make it into the game because of technical difficulties. :( But we hope to update it in the future if we can manage to get around the issues.
