This is one of my favorites, what a cool way to control a character! It took me some time to wrap around my head around how it plays, but after some practice I can say it works really well, it's really fun to bounce around and its great to see an entire movement system thats built for momentum. I also adore the Yoshi's Island look and the music has that free spirit vibe that suits the game so well. Very cool!

I'm shocked that I managed to perform well in this game, the mechanics actually worked fairly decently to me! The premise is great, the context is silly and the controlls work surprisingly well, I actually managed to make a couple of sandwiches with little to no problem! I've played the web version so the unfortunate graphical compromises made the onboarding a bit harder, but it still didn't hinder the experience that much. Bravo!
As soon as I started the game, I got Downwell vibes and was instantly excited to play it. What greeted me was something that's similar in spirit, but very different in execution. Like Kanosis, I struggled to understand how the game works initially, my instinct was to run away from the avalanche and not dare to touch it, but doing that always made me die from cold, so I quit and went to the comments and found out that the avalanche is not as dangerous as it seems. After that revelation, the game was a blast. The sound design instills an actual sense of dread, which is something I did not expect at all and is something I also have to commend!
The concept is genius and so far the most original take on the theme I've seen, the art is beautiful and the music is appropriately relaxing. Not gonna lie, I was having a very hard time at the start, I felt like I had no control over the wind at all. What eventually worked for me in the end was blowing the leaves into just one direction, aka left and blowing the leaves that come from the right as soon as they appear. The gameplay also uniquely and perfectly mimics the meditaion of an actual monk, it's tough at first, but only with patience, perserverance , focus and before all, discipline, one can hope to escape samsara.
Cool concept that sucessfully takes the advantage of the theme! It is really fun to bounce the ball around, I especially enjoyed the feature that allows you to strike the ball again in mid air, it allows you to do some pretty cool stuff. One thing I'd love to see is an option to invert mouse camera by separate axis instead of just flipping the mouse, I struggled adapting to either X or Y axis that didn't suit me. Also as Kanosis mentioned, having a power bar for hitting the ball would be great. I've developed some intuition, but I still can't say I'm sure I'd know if I hit the ball just right. Overall, well done!
The intro animation is super cool, the tracks in the snow create a sense of mystery and tension! I was expecting to be a predator chasing unassuming victims in the forest, but instead I was greeted with a dungeon crawler, something I did not expect to see in a jam with the momentum theme! The premise is great and it works great with the theme, you need to pick and choose which move to take and which fight to fight and you must do it quickly, I love that! I got stuck on the big slime dude, I'm not sure on how to beat him. I tried punching the small slimes, the big one, both, but I couldn't finish him in time. I must be missing something, but even besides that, I had a great time!
This is the second puck game I've played this jam and it's much different in execution. I like the idea of controlling the puck after its launched and it's all based on momentum. The presentation, while being crude and unpolished due to reasons mentioned on the games page, is oddly surreal and engaging, the music and visuals go so well together to create a strange experience I will not soon forget!
Super cool for the first finished product! I've managed to beat the first three levels! The concept is brilliant for the theme and the levels allow for experimentation. I'm not sure what the point of shooting clones is,I wish they could block some of those fireballs coming from the ground, but besides that it's a fun little game!
I love seal.
The course is very well designed and varried and the bouncy fella controlls just right! The presentation adds to the silliness of the premise and it's very easy on the eyes. I share the gripes with popcar2 and I'd add that the time limit may feel a bit too strict, I've barely managed to complete the course with only one second on the clock, but that doesn't mean that I didn't have a good time doing it!
Cool concept! The game is surprisingly beefy, I did not expect it to be that long! I've managed to beat all the levels and had a blast during all of them! The shield guys are a bit tough to take down, especially in groups, but over time I got the timing down. The idea behind the virus factory guys is great, but they are often placed in places that don't fully utilizes them. Overall, a pretty solid jam game, well done!
Very clever idea that leverages the theme pretty well! The puck moves like I'd expect it to and it's fun to chain jumps at later levels! The levels take some time to load on my system and I really wish there was a pan camera option so I could see the entire level and plan my moves, but besides that I really liked this one!
I've managed to beat all three levels and they are pretty well paced together. Very short, but also very sweet game! Mapping hook to the enter key was a weird choice that took some time getting used to, but I managed to play the game just fine after a couple of practice rounds. Also the music makes the entire experience surprisingly relaxing. Well done!
Great idea for a game! We all had our favorite plushie at mercy of our washing machines and this game makes a great use out of that! Teddy controls fine and the concept of matching the colors is an interesting one and it would be 10/10 if the clothes didn't spawn one into another. Stil, had a great time with it!
What a cute little game! I loved the artstyle, the colors work really well in this game! The rocket controls satisfyingly and I had great time beating the levels. I was playing on the web version though, so I had to deal with some very rough load screens, but that didn't deter me that much from keeping on with the levels. Awesome work!
I love tetris and I was excited to see a variation of it on this jam! I can see the potential in looping the tetris board, but unforunately I just didn't understand how to play the game properly. I didn't quite get what constitues as a loop and couldn't figure out how to play efficiently with random pieces that i was getting. That could probably be just me though! One more thing that I have to commend is adding an option for colorblind people, that is very neat!
Making even the smallest loops in this game was pretty satisfying and seeing them all blow up after the level is done is super satisfying! Unfortuantely for me tho, I just couldn't quite figure out how to do it effectively. I didn't get that much use of looping the stage, but that's probably on me being a dumdum. Still, this is a neat game that's super satisfying to play and I wouldn't mind coming back to give it another shot and eventually crack how to properly play it!
An interesting idea. I did complete the full game ending, the back ending and the drown ending. On the screenshots I see the game has way more to offer, but I didn't feel like going through the long trek again after completing that first full run. I did enjoy the narrative and the music was boppy and made me play my own pseudo little rhythm game while I was walking to kill time. Well done!
Seeing a twinstick shooter game made me instantly rapid fire my bullets, which got me killed faster than I could process what was going on. After a couple of tries, I realized its best to shoot the enemies slowly, take some time to aim and plan the shots and then when I expanded the loopy arena, I could fulfil my wildest twinstick shooter rapid fire dreams. It's an interesting spin (hehe) on the concept and I learned to enjoy it for what it was. Well done!
I like the little trail the car produces while driving and the driving itself is not bad, but I couldn't play for long due to track rotating instead of a car. I managed to beat one loop though, but the game crashed when it offered me to choose between possible hurdles (i remember there being a cone and a cactus). I did enjoy it for what it was!
I had such a great time playing this! The main mechanic and hook of the game is awesome, it has tons of potential, tho avoiding the wolf triggers seemed a bit too easy. The artwork is top tier quality and the music is calm and cozy. I also enjoyed the narrative bit about mother risking her life to take care of her children. Good game!
This game has tons of potential and promise, but unfortunately I didn't figure out what to do. I managed to kill a couple of spiders with the rocks I threw, which felt pretty neat, but I wasn't unable to proceed through the rest of the game. Keep working on it, it could turn into something very cool!
This was a weird little game. The premise is intriguing, a guy on drugs gets a visit from his past sober self reminding him of his responsibilities as a sober human being which he refuses to accept so he runs away in his drug infected world. Or, maybe not, but I'd like to think that's what the game is about. The gameplay and audio strangely add to the weirdness a lot, making for a very unique experience
Cute little shooter with a nice and cozy atmosphere. The star hitboxes are way smaller than they seem which threw me off a couple of times, but after I got used to it, I enjoyed it a lot. The timings on shooting are very intuitive and very easy to calculate which made me feel great. Not bad for a first jam game, well done!
Wonderful little game with charming premise, I've thoroughly enjoyed this one! Strategizing for earlier loops is super engaging and watching my cute little train become the weapon of mass destruction is simply amazing. Unfortunately, the game crashed right as I was causing way too much of a ruckus, which is a bummer, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment at all!
