The mouse movement and spinning in circles to swing the mace is actually really fun! Great job~~ You should keep working on it for sure.  So many cool upgrades could work with the spinning attack, awesome job!  Check out mine when u have time :D

Developer

Thank you so much! ^^

A fun little game! Even though the movement was a bit difficult, I liked that you only had to use the mouse to move the mace. Maybe add something that makes the player go even further away from the skull.

Developer

Thanks! Another cool idea, I really appreciate it! ^^

Very satisfying gameplay mechanic, and impressive coding on the mace physics. Could be interesting to add additional things the mace can interact with (like switch-based puzzles or power-ups that change its attack for a limited time). Nice job :)

Developer

Thank you very much! Great ideas! ^^

Nice execution! A mouse-only, physics-based wave defense seems tricky to pull off, but it was surprisingly intuitive to control.

One thing that was a bit unclear was the mace changing color when the base takes damage: at first, I thought this meant my mace was sometimes vulnerable, and it was only later that I figured out what had happened. (Though that in itself could be an interesting idea.)

Overall smashing the mace through enemies was intuitive and fun.

Developer

Thank you very much! I wanted to indicate somehow, but I couldn't been able to come up with a more evident solution. Yeah, it is a bit confusing, I agree.

The ball and chain was a bit finnicky to control, but nice game! Congrats

Developer

Thanks! ^^

It was such a nice game! Frist I thought I have to click mouse in order to control the player but after playing two levels, I understood how to control it. Such a lovely game. For the gameplay its 10/10

Developer

Thanks! ^^ In the post-jam version you need to hold down LMB for more feel that you are controlling a weapon.

Submitted(+1)

Cool game, I had to get used to controlling the character a bit, but it's a lot of fun to swing the mace around and smash your foes - nice job!

Developer

I'm glad to hear this!

Submitted(+1)

This is a fun take. I wish there was at least one other kind of enemy. Its still satisfying to spin the ball and chain around.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah, a bit variety is missing.

Cool game, nice use of the physics.

Physics are alwas fun for some weird reason, I found the mace a bit hard to control at first but eventually I got better.

Congrats on finishing the jam on time and submit your game. thanks for sharing

Kudos

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I got over it! It's quite fun, I liked that the ball kept inertia to be able to "charge" a spinning strike before getting in the middle of several enemies. Simple, but solid!

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you had a great time! ^^

Excellent! A lot of fun! Hope to see more in the future.

I'm very glad you liked it! ^^

Nice game! I think the only weird part was that's not clear enough that you need to protect the thing at the center. But it's a great submission, congrats!

Thanks! ^^ I thought players could figured it out, but in the post-jam version there are a short tutorial that mentioned it.  It would be cool if that would be a heart instead of a skull?

Submitted(+1)

Yeah, I mean it only took me one hit to realize that so it's not that bad. Maybe changing it for a heart or doing some really small level/tutorial that clearly shows that the enemies are going to the center could work (because that's what I didn't see, just a bunch of enemies appearing).

Developer

Thanks for the advice! ^^

Really interesting physics based concept.

I think it was a bit confusing that the weapon has an offset position relative to the mouse position.. During development, did you try to implement when you click the weapon with the mouse to move the weapon? Like a dragging system. I can well imagine that the controls feel much more powerful, since you can actually swing the weapon.

Despite that, i think this is a good submission. I even finished the game. Great work.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! That's a great idea, I try it! ^^

The physics was really cool! It was good fun swinging around trying to bash in those skull, neat game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! ^^

Cool game, I always like physics based elements, so I can spin around like crazy :D

Developer

Thanks! :)

I found it fun, congratulations!

It might be interesting to add new weapons, each with a different difficulty to handle.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! That idea sounds great!

Nice job! This game was pretty fun! Nice challenge! I also really enjoyed using just the mouse, it was a new experience of things kind of gameplay and felt very natural!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! ^^

Submitted(+1)

Awesome work. I appreciate how good the controls felt while only using the mouse. Some really clever design choices and overall really enjoyable to play. Hope you keep working on this or at least use the physics work for a future project.

Developer

I really enjoyed making this game! Now I work on the post-jam version based your valuable oppininons! Thanks for the play! ^^

Nice game. Progression felt a little slow so it was a bit difficult to restart after losing on wave 9! A bit of screenshake might help make killing ememies more enjoyable, but otherwise great take on the theme and quite original :)

Developer

Thanks! I noticed that the screenshake is too little, but I get quick dizzy. Yeah, the progression is too slow, I didn't have time to make difficulties, but in the post-jam version there are 3 difficulty modes.

Very enjoyable, the sounds and animations were simple but on point. Good job given the time limit :).

I think it’d be more challenging if you did not allow the player to leave the main “battleground”. Also, you could prevent players from picking extra health when they don’t need it. I can’t complain about being invincible though, that way I could swing to my heart’s content.

Good take on the theme!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! ^^ Good ideas!
