It took me some time to get used to the controls, but I still liked your game. It's got such a pleasant, nostalgic feeling to it.

I love the art and music for this game so good! Super fun! A few bugs but what can you do in 48 hours and for what you have done is amazing! Congratulations! :D

The art and music in this game is amazing! The gameplay is a little finicky. I found myself getting stuck behind pools of water a few times. Maybe increasing how long you can possess something and aiming with the mouse would make the game slightly easier as you start. There are also some bugs but those can just be fixed. Also check points would be nice as well. Overall I really enjoyed the game!

a bit too much punishing, and collision with sword attacks, enemies and walls are a bit uncomfortable. This aside, the game is really really fun and interesting, and the Game-boy aesthetic definitely deserve 5 star!

Hey thanks for your reply! The main issue with the sword attack is actually the way the WebGL player calculates time - it's a bit slower than the editor and OS builds. Getting this right in jam time would have meant repeatedly building the WebGL version of the game (which in itself is slow) while tweaking values until it felt "right". Definitely something we'll look into in the final version though once we've got the time to do this. Until then, I'd recommend taking the cartridge out, blowing away any dust and then reinserting it into the gameboy before trying again.

Cool mechanic that was really well put together :)

I found the fact you lost a heart if you missed when you fired it to be particularly punishing though. If you continue developing it, I think it would be worth investigating a system where you can pick-up hearts that you fired but didn’t hit something with.

So much fun! Loved switching into the different enemies and using their abilities.

You guys really nailed the gamboy/zelda aesthetic, I was transported to a distant memories in car rides, bleachers, ect. =)

I love the gameboy art style and the general pixel art. I also noticed the inspiration of the old zelda games, which is very nice.

The gameplay mechanic, inspired by mario odyssey, fits the theme of the jam perfectly.

Unfortunately, the game was a little to difficult for me. Mainly because i didn't know exactly what would harm my player character. Sometimes an enemie hit me and i got -3 hearts. Or i threw a heart at an enemie with 1 heart left and died. But before that i didn't lose any hearts when i threw a heart at an enemie. Really confusing to me.

Despite that, i think this is a really awesome submission. Really enjoyed the playtime. My respect, great work.

Really well executed, gorgeous game. a bit tough to get the hang of in the beginning, i died a lot, but i appreciate thematically that missed heart-tosses hurt your health. nicely done!

The style is so pretty!! Very unique and alive :). I think loosing is a bit too punishing and I'd rather have the tutorial be more in-game, but overall well done, great entry!

I really like the principle of the game! It's very pretty, but I had some hitbox issues. GG!
