Really like the blocky style, looks really good!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! The artstyle is the result of a great work of our artist, I think she will be happy to hear the positive feedback :d

Developer(+1)

Love yall

Really well presented game, great art style, and loved the concept (our Game jam Entry for last years GMTK Jam was VERY similar so great minds and all that! :) )

Great work!!

Developer(+2)

Thank you very much for the kind words! Trully, great minds and all that :d

Submitted(+3)

Really enjoyed your game. Super interesting take on the theme and a great level of challenge!

Developer

Thank you very much for the positive feedback! :d

Fun little game, the aesthetic and music choice definitely achieved the relaxing feel you were going for! Love the art. The first 3 weren't so challenging, but the last one was pretty good! Gameplay was smooth. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for the feedback! We are really happy to hear that it achieved that relaxing vibe we were going for. As for the level design, ye it could definitely be said that earlier levels are too easy, we sadly couldn't spend as much time as we'd like on level design, as it happens with jam games. We will try to go into the direction of the 4th level for sure in post jam updates! :d

It attempts to launch SteamVR when opened but it's a cool game

Developer(+1)

Oh right, sorry about that ): We don't really publish much on ue4 and I always forget to disable that plugin for steam vr that is on by default. Will definitely do this after the jam ends. Thank you for your feedback! :d

Very relaxing! I made a similar game in university years ago where I had a flame that needed to pickup  trash and news papers to keep itself alive in a sewer setting.

The art is really neat, I like the music.

Great job submitting!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! It's really interesting about your university game, now that I think about it, the obvious connection of fire needing some fuel to stay alive lends itself well as a basis for many similar games. After all it already throws at you goals and fail states. It's so cool to hear that someone already explored the idea. :d Thanks again for the comment!

this was such a glorious game! visually was amazing and the mechanics were solid great game

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! We really tried to make it as best we could during the 48h, it's so nice to hear people like it! :d

Submitted(+3)

Didn't think burning down houses could be so relaxing!

Developer(+1)

Ye it's pretty weird, isn't it :d But we are glad you found it relaxing! Thank you for the comment.

Submitted(+3)

I like the overall idea,  and the design is good!

This would be even better with sound effects!

Nice Job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback! Ye we could definitely use some sound effects, we really only used music due to having not enough time. Something to improve upon after the jam for sure!

Everyone was rushed, including me!  That itch.io crash really had everyone hopping! Overall, though, really nice concept!

Submitted(+3)

I love the idea of this! It took a second to see the difference in some of the bushes and rocks though,  which led to me being a tad confused for a second there. xD I would make the color value's difference a little more dramatic on those.  Other then that is was a really fun little puzzle!

Developer(+1)

That's true, some visual clarity in terms of colours should be changed in the game. We also thought about applying it to the bigger and smaller fire, so they wouldn't look samey, so definitely something to consider and it is nice to hear that other people think the same :d Thank you very much for the feedback!

Submitted(+2)

:0 I think that would be a great idea too! And of course! <3

The presentation is nice, though having some sort of grid either superimposed over the ground or as an actual part of the visuals would help a lot in knowing where you can actually move to. Otherwise it's a pretty fun and relaxed game, feels a bit odd to say that when you play as a flame setting fire to everything, but, you managed it haha! A pretty solid entry, nice work!

Developer

There definitely is some sort of conflict between it being relaxing and focusing on burning everything, that's for sure :d However, we are really glad you enjoyed it! The grid will definitely be taken into consideration while we are designing the solution for the issue with space perception. Thank you very much for your comment!

Fantastic entry! Your art assets were excellent, the puzzles were just the right difficulty, and I had a ton of fun playing. With a little post-jam polish this could make a successful mobile game I think. You should really think about keeping going with this one.

Developer

We are happy to hear you enjoyed it! Also we definitely want to keep going with it as it is a strong basis for the game. I don't think we considered making it mobile, but it actually sounds like a very good market for this type of game. Thanks for the feedback! :d

Excellent idea. Expertly polished as well.

I loved the art style and how you can pass the levels in a couple of different ways.

Maybe one small suggestion: I think the game might benefit if you drew tiles across the level. Without them it's a bit hard to measure how many moves I need to make to my destination. I might count 3 steps, but it would actually take 4 because of a larger collision box on a small rock.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words! :D And the grid idea is really interesting, I think it could disrupt the pretty visuals of the game a bit, but it is definitely something to consider. As of now we mostly thought that issue could be resolved with some camera improvements, but maybe we could do both. Thanks again!

Submitted(+3)

The games has a lovely calm atmosphere along with a cool mechanic that led to some pretty clever and difficult puzzles! Great work! :D

Developer

Thank you very much, we are happy to hear that! :d

This was really pretty, with good execution of the idea. Different elements giving you more flame and the water were good. I think the fit to the theme is a bit loose, you are only joining a goal.

Developer

Thank you for the positive feedback! We were also really worried about connection to the theme, originally we wanted to join together wind and fire, where you would influence the flames with some gusts, but we rightfully thought that it may prove to be too difficult to make fun during 48h, so we went with what we have now instead. Once again, thanks for the feedback! :d

I liked the burning effect et the pitch of the game. First I was afraid to cross the water, I think I understand the hint message like "don't go there" :D But you've got many mechanics to play with to create nice environment with specificities. You could have fire fighters trying to counter you somehow.

Well and maybe the view can be a bit disturbing because when you see your flame being far away, you cannot tell easily if your next move will get you to the big fire.

Developer

Oh ye, that hint could definitely be misunderstood, we didn't really think about that. It will definitely be changed! And the camera, yes it is really a nuisance we should take care of. Thanks for the feedback! :d

Submitted(+3)

it was a really good experience actually. I love the mechanic and visuals generally. Great job!!

Developer

Thank you very much for kind words! :D

Submitted(+2)

This is pretty and original. And also, pretty original!

I think there needs to be another element or constraint mixed in here to bring it to the next level. Maybe some water that you also control also needs to get to its destination, but the fire and water can't cross trails? I'm not sure.

But yeah this was all in all a very pleasant experience. Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much! We have a lot of ideas for how to make the game more interesting and we can't wait to implement them after the jam ends :)

Submitted(+2)

Great Visuals. Gameplay wise the puzzles were very easy but the mechanics are solid enough to be worth expanding for a full game.

Developer

Thanks!  We're happy to hear that.

The game looks beautiful; the shaders, the fire, it's all gorgeous and the UI is nice and smooth. The concept is nice and makes sense, it also makes a lot of sense that houses fire you up much more, great! However; it feels odd that cacti do not fire you up, maybe I just don't know that actual cacti do not burn up but I feel that's a harder connection to make coming from the fact that they are plants. I also gotta say that a bit more of a twist would've been nice since the base concept began to get old at some point, but since the game is not too long anyway it's not something that might've made it feel boring by the end. It also has a quite relaxing feeling. Very nice!

Developer

Thank you for your opinion! Cacti have water inside them but we agree it should have been communicated. Unfortunately we just ran out of time but we plan to polish it once the jam is over - same for some variety in mechanics.
