This is a very simple and enjoyable game and would make for a great mobile game.

My biggest problems with the game is in its UI elements. For starters there is a lot of wasted space. Everything on the left side of the screen is simply not used. So why do you have it? Same goes for the entire horizontal middle section. Yes it is there to seperate the two zones, but the space in between is so large it is essentially a big distraction. Needing to force my eyes on two completely different sides of the screen. Making the game much harder then it actually is.

The highscore being so obviously flamboyant in the middle of the screen is also another huge eye sore. Which to me screams that the only reason that it is placed there is to fill up space.

The gaps in the road are a bit hard to see and for my bad eyes I would love it if they stand out a bit more.

In my opinion the rope should either be always used or never used. To me it feels like the only reason it is implemented is to stick to the theme of the jam. Furthermore I would have expected the rope to always be there, even when not jumping. Because everytime you jump now the rope spring out of nothingness.

And last for jumping. Jumping up is almost immediate. For a game that requieres tight controls this is perfect, however falling down is down with gravity. This makes the incredibly otherwise tight controls really watered down. And makes it much harder to achieve high level play.

Such a cute game! I love the mechanics and the sound effect. Also, attention to detail, it's a nice touch that the cursor having some lighting effect when hovering on the screen. I love that. I can see the potential of this game to be an addictive mobile game, maybe if you did plan for that, go for it! Perhaps adding more obstacles or extra lives would be nice too! Well done!

Really clever and unique way of doing the joining up for the theme! Really nice progression and difficulty ramp that doesn't feel too punishing think my best was 320 but yeah really good fun! :D

This is a really good game jam game. The mechanics kept driving me to play more and get a high score, unfortunately my old man reaction times meant I had some trouble getting over 300 score.

Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thanks! I’m glad you had fun. Don’t worry about your high score, getting close to 300 is already really good.

This game was Fun! Really simple concept that tests your twitch decision making. I struggled at first with the controls., as my natural inclination was opposite of the setup, but once I got over that, I played for very much longer than I intended.

Highscore: 212

Developer

Thanks so much and its great that you enjoyed it! 212 is pretty good so good job.

So stylish game! Too tough beginning but with each new attempt, I manage to go further and further. Also, I would agree with other comments, smaller screen could solve the reaction problem. I wait for it on mobiles :)

Developer

Thanks! Definitely thinking about making a port for mobile

Hi Junior!

The polish on this game is incredible! Well done. The mechanic is pretty neat too. It's tough to keep track of the holes and it took me a while to realize both the little dudes could jump at the same time.

It's also really cool how the time naturally fits in the middle of the screen without interrupting gameplay. The music is really cool too. Maybe there is a way to incorporate the rhythm of the music to help the player predict when the holes are coming, or direct there attention to the right sprite who is approaching a hole.

Overall a great start! I had fun!

Had a lot of fun playing it! I think it'd be fun on a smaller screen for sure, my only initial problem was that the floors are so far away from each other that it's hard to look at both at once. Zooming out definitely helped a bit but maybe if they were closer together on the game that could be a welcome change.

The game   is great  but it    feels ever so slightly too   floaty.

In what way is it too floaty? cause I have played many others and I feel like the physics in this one is spot on. Maybe you should be the ones learning what floaty means huh?!

I meant to say that  it was slightly off and    not a major problem (In ever comment I give I try to give feedback since just saying the game is good won't help it become better but, I will edit my comment to reflect the severity of my criticism in the future).

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely keep this in mind for next year
