really unique concept, and very well executed, especially for a game jam! nice job!
Sorry for not getting a chance to play your game during a stream but I am running out of time and had a hefty amount of games to get through so I am just playing and rating at this point! Thank you for your understanding :D
That was really hectic! It reminds me of the hectic nature of checking documents in Papers Please. I think this was paced really well for a jam game and it felt really rewarding to have a few lines memorized like the pizza line.
Very interesting idea and beautiful design! It was a little difficult for the first couple of times to have time to figure out what is where, but this is a kind of challenge :)
Awesome entry, one of my favs of the jam! I'm just a sucker for tactile job simulation type games. I've played a couple other switchboard type games this jam, but one thing this did in particular that I really liked was having some numbers be known in the queue; I feel like it was a good way to control the difficulty curve and give the player a chance to learn the numbers in the directory without getting swamped.
Excellent work!
The little details really made this game. The art was gorgeous and the sound was super satisfying. Excellent job!
The music fits the game perfectly, and gives a real sense of urgency while playing! it is such a cool concept and fits the linked together prompt perfectly!
Great stuff! Love the tactile feel of the presentation. Lots of charming extra details (though you can't properly appreciate them while trying to win!).
That was such a clever idea! It was super fun, even if I'm pretty bad at it, hehe.
I especially like the mood you created, and the level of polished; cable animations, listening to conversation, etc. Great job!
That was such a good concept, and an INCREDIBLE realisation for a 48h jam ! Full tutorial, enjoyable gameplay, everything is so nicely polished, that's amazing !
The presentation is on point : not only the music and art are fitting (that animation when you grab a cable is GORGEOUS), but the game merges perfectly with the itch.io background , that blew my mind !
Congratulations !
Thankyou for your kind words about our game, especially thanks from me for the kind words on the art.
I enjoyed making the animation for the plug and am continually astounded by the quality of the game behind it that our two developers managed to make in just 48 hours.
Amazing concept of the game! I love the art style and the animation of unplugging the wire! It gives me 'Papers Please' vibe.
I have faced some bugs while testing it that you might be interested to hear. For example, two times during the single game I had to connect two people, one of whom was already talking to somebody. After reading the game info I understood that during those moments I might need to put the call on hold, but if it was meant to be so, it wasn't really intuitive to me. Another bug - I was trying to connect someone to Police and the call just didn't start, I am pretty sure that both the Police port and the person port were ticked correctly.
Despite those small bugs, the game is fantastic! The implemented high score system even adds another challenge to the game. It is one of the best and the most original games, that fits the theme of the jam well. Good luck to your team!
Thanks so much for the detailed and kind feedback!
We have noticed that bug where you can get more than one queued call for a given user. We had actually tried (and thought we'd succeeded) to make sure that wouldn't happen, or if it did, that you'd be given enough time to ensure you could connect the next call, but it turns out we didn't quite get there haha. Hopefully something we'll address after the jam.
We haven't had a chance to check out your game yet, but I'll be sure to have a look over the next day or so : )
This is super fun and very well polished! I don't really have anything else to say other than great job!
This is absolutely fantastic and feels very polished! Annoyingly I couldn't quite get the high score and got stuck at 4th or 5th place, but wow this a lot of fun! This would be really fun as a touch screen game. I think it would also be really nice if you got a small (say 2 secs) time boost for each connected call, so you were able to bump up your time (and therefore score) by reacting to the calls faster. Great game! :)
Great game. Its similar to another game I played from this jam. While that one had more of a plot and you could listen to the people on the other end. This one was more gameplay oriented and hectic. Both are some of my favorites from this jam. Great job!
This is a really charming game, it's quite relaxing to play, this could get expanded into a papers please type of game easily :)
Nice solid game. Good job!
really nice submission, very polished. reminds me of papers please
This game is really polished and pretty. The mechanic of having to search for the names and which socket they connect to is really great and a lot of fun but it is a little difficult and it could ramp up slower so that the player can start learning the names and where they connect. Overall really fun and challenging game.
hi nice game interesting
Awesome game! Really taxing and stressful in the right ways. The art is on point
