The controls are a little hard at first, but once I got the hang of it, this game is actually pretty fun!

Developer

Thank you!

This is such an interesting concept! Fits the theme to a tee and is the perfect balance of fun and challenging. I'd love to hear why you chose a more isometric perspective – straight on is obviously the normal perspective for these kinds of games, but i think the isometric view gave it a really nice challenge, and forced me to develop a much better sense of awareness of where both characters were. As other people have said, the tutorial was also excellent

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks! I chose the isometric perspective basically because I think it looks cool ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  and I wanted the player to have a clear view of the level being built in front  of them. A lot of people had trouble with this perspective, but I'm glad you liked it!

Really cool concept, something i´ve not seen before, but some feedback:

1. Remove the jump function, as the game is interesting enough without.

2. Add some animation or something for the player, just make it more alive and not immediately go to the place.

3. Make the perspective more like in subway surfer, or make a grid were you can see where you are.

4. Make it so there are no restrictions when it comes to how far the player is from the other player.

5. Make the graphics less "unity". They don´t look bad, but a different background color and a nicer color scheme would make things much better.

6. Use a different font than arial.

I hope the feedback helped you, would be nice if you could check out my submission too. :)

Thanks for the detailed feedback!

I liked the tutorial at the start, although it took me ages to remember that I could jump. I assumed that the jump was just a sort of indication I was ready to start the game.

I kept getting stuck at this obstacle:

which is evidently an obstacle that requires you to jump.

Developer(+1)

Oh, that's a problem I didn't predict... Thank's for informing me! I'll see if I can fix it once I can edit the game

Submitted(+1)

Really good. Nice work on the tutorial at the start it is really helpful and intuitive. Also binding restart to spacebar was really smart, as it made restarting for another go so much quicker :)

Developer

Thanks! I spent a lot of time polishing the tutorial, so is nice to hear that it works as intended!

Cool concept, I played with my friend and it was very fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Very similar to my game! Minimalistic and simplified version of my game. Had a lot of fun playing this!

Developer(+1)

Wow, they really are pretty similar! Mine was even going to have a chain as well, but I abandoned that idea because it was too complicated for what I was going for. Anyway, thanks for playing!

Submitted

Yes exactly, a chain wont fit the minimal design in your game. Current rope fits everything else pretty well! :)

Overall I think this is pretty fun, but I wish it was top down or the camera was directly behind. This isometric/2.5D perspective makes it really difficult to know if you're going to clear an obstacle or not. Alternatively if you wanted to keep this perspective, adding a grid would make it much easier to see where you are and I think it wouldn't detract from the aesthetic. Good job though!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! A lot of people complained about the perspective, I'll have to see what I can do to fix it.

Great game. Gameplay feels smooth except for the camera positioning, kinda makes it hard to judge how far things are. Also just curious, is this procedurally generated or did you just make a ton of levels?

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah, it's some very basic procedural generation. I made a ton of obstacles and the game randomly selects one each time to keep building the level. It's the only way to make it infinite : )

(+1)

Solid game. Like others have said, fits right into the flash scene!

Developer

Thank you!

It's pretty difficult and the controls are a little messy, but it reminds me of old addicting flash games. I could definitely see myself wasting all my time in school playing this

Developer

Thanks for commenting! I can't edit the game right now, but once I can I'll see if I can improve the controls

I was also confused by the lanes. I also wished the new track pieces appeared sooner to have more time to react.

Developer

Thanks for your input! I'll see what I can do to fix it once I can edit the game

Submitted

Simple and enjoyable! As others have noted, perspective makes it easy to confuse lanes, so maybe you could add some lane delimiters or even change the camera angle to a more usual from behind position.

Thank you for the suggestions!

Simple and fun. Had problems with the controlls and the perspetive at first, but you get used to it.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

At first the controls feel very weird, but after couple of tries you pickup the logic of the game. After that it becomes fun to beat the obstacles that killed you before. My only problem with this game is the perspective, sometimes it’s kinda hard to see where players are.

Developer

Yeah, that's a common complaint. Thanks for the feedback anyway!

Submitted(+1)

Fun and simple. Really like the idea. Good job :D

Very simple yet addictive gameplay! I would love to see this game ported to mobile. I think that the camera angle is a bit tricky, other than that I enjoyed playing your game

I would love it if you try my game and leave a rating :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I really liked yours as well!

Very fun game easy to understand, simple and pacing is good. It can also be played as couch multiplayer where to people can play together and communicate with each others movements. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Making it simple and easy to understand was definitely my goal

Submitted(+1)

Great mechanic, it really needs hands - eye coordination to play it ı liked it

Developer

Thank you!
