It's a great first effort, and actually a great entry. Most ppl have already expressed the few criticisms I had in mind, so I'll just leave my compliments :D
Haha, thanks :D
Nice sound and puzzle design! Near the beginning I would have to attempt a jump four or five times, unsure if I was just bad at jumping or needed to do something else before I could climb up to that platform.
But overall great game!
Thanks!
Nice idea! the only thing is the font is small, so on my 13inch screen with fullscreen I struggle to read the instructions. I like way you use the team work of the two blocks though
Thanks!
The idea is good, the music is good, the controls are good and the graphics are good. But this game has huge problems with the collision detection.
I know, I'll fix it in my next game.:)
Nice Co-op feeling.
We really had a similar approach when designing our mechanics. :D
Cool puzzle platformer!
Thanks! I played your game too! :)
Nice game.
1, You can clip through the walls if you are fast enough.
2, The game needs more polish.
Besides these, nice puzzle.
Thanks for the feedback
Nice game! I like the mechanic and the levels very much. The music was great and the visuals also good. I somehow managed to get throw a wall with the small square, while the big one was still on the other side. Besides that, a very good game, that really enjoyed playing.
Yes, i know, the colliders were "kinda" off. XD
Really cool idea! i liked the continuous levels by scrolling and level design is clever! However check points would have been great! The first red insta-killed me and slippery movements didn't quite helped. Looking forward to a polished version of this game cause this is a great take on the theme!
Congrats
Glad you liked it!
I really liked your game - sometimes I hit the switches twice by accident, but really nice game with the big and small cubes working together and increasingly more challenging once the enemies show up! Had a fun time playing this one, good job!
Thanks!
fun game, cool idea, ui is a little bit small, collisions were strange, i recommend using tilemaps for this type of game (check the left bottom corner of the first level while being away from the big guy)
Thanks!
Great game! Although I noticed the collisions were a bit strange and it felt like everything is a pillow since it feels "soft." Nonetheless, the overall gameplay feels good, it's polished and the concept could be more of its own once explored further. Good job! :D
Thanks, i´ll fix the collision next time! :D
Neat concept! The player character is *really* hard to see in front of the background, though. Given that and the somewhat finicky jump controls, the introduction of enemies does more harm than good, I feel, as you have to start all over again if you get hit three time - which can happen fairly quick. Very promising for your first Jam-Game (and only 1-2 months of Unity) though - keep at it!
Thanks a lot! Yes, i´ve already heard of the problems you mentioned, i´ll add checkpoints next time i make a game like this, and i´ll definelty fix the controls and the collisions. About the color: I realised it´s hard to see, but i didn´t want to have it too bright, because i wanted the doors to stand out. But i think especially on some screens it´s really dark and i´ll think more about it next time!
Pretty frustrating to not have any checkpoints, and the movement feels a bit floatey and can be hard to judge sometimes. But other than that this is a great concept of having to sacrifice the ability to shoot to gain the ability to jump. Also I really enjoyed the music!
Really cool puzzle and great take on the theme, I like it :)
A good concept with color changing, puzzle pacing is good. However the difficulty curve is a bit flat and thus requires only a little calculation. You should think about more difficult level to broaden the potential of this ;)
Thanks! I tried to keep it easy so everyone can enjoy it!
Fun puzzle game. You've got some great pacing with introducing new challenges. I wish the damage you take from an enemy was a bit more forgiving though. Instakill is fine, but having to start all over and redo the same puzzle after my 2nd death was a bit frustrating. I imagine that if I could have checkpoints scattered throughout the level, I'd enjoy even more. Good job!
Glad you enjoyed it! I will definetly make some checkpoints or seperate it into levels next time i make a game like this!
I look forward to that, so I'll give you a follow :)
Oh, thanks i lot! I wasn't expecting that! :D
This was a really great idea, It was fun too! I had some issues with the font though, it was too small for me to read, and for some reason there was always a 3 in the middle of my screen. It also would have been nice if the enemies did not put you back so far. I also really loved the music! This was a really creative idea and with a bit of tweaks I would totally play this on steam. Also thanks for checking out my game!
Thanks a lot! I agree, especially on some devices the font was really small, and the 3 in the middle is your health, it´s normally more at the bottom of the screen, but i don´t know. I will definelty improve these things next time, thanks! :)
Surprisingly thrilling! Stage design was top notch too! :D
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
I liked the mix of platforming and puzzles a lot, and I thought the puzzles were really well designed. Solid tutorial too :D
I personally would prefer tighter controls for this sort of game tho (higher friction and faster acceleration), since the platforming and puzzles are already fun without the added challenge of sliding around. It was a fun game regardless though!
I think the game was well-designed visually too, the colour-coding of the barriers and enemies made everything very clear. Plus I prefer the minimal blocky style to asset packs.
Thanks a lot! About the acceleration: No idea how to do that, but with the higher friction: I know, i will fix that next time, that´s something i learned from this game jam.
About the graphics: There were many mixed opinions, glad you liked it! :)
