Super fun to play! The combo mechanism is a great incentive to play tactically and not eat the fly instantly when you catch it.

The green monochrome pixel art is so well done, the possession mechanic is done just right, and puzzles are engaging. I love that you need to risk your harts to progress, really forces you to play smartly.

Great twist on the jam theme, the game is engaging and fun, art style is the cheery on top and simply hooks you into it.

There are a few bugs but with some polish this would become a game worth buying. Well done to the team behind I’ll Take Your Word For It!

Thank you for this review, I really worked hard on the pixel art so I’m glad that a lot of people like it. But I’m a solo developer so while most of the pixel art is mine, not all is.

Ground tiles, grass, bushes, animations are all mine, trees were a pre-made assets (I will link all of them when I get home, big thanks to those artists for filling in the gaps). I hope that next time I can team up with someone and create all the assets in the game.

As for the long cool down, there is a under explained feature in game for this: Em can pickup skeleton remains and cut that time down, you do this by standing on a skeleton bones and pressing [c] key

There was a plan to have Em and Warrior do different tings, but I ran out of time in the end :/ Same goes for effects and music, it kills me that I didn’t have time to include them..

Very well put together, I really liked the minimal art style. Game-play was a bit confusing at start but then I quickly got hang of it :D

If you are playing alone controls are kinda hard, if we ignore that the game is perfect.

There are so many mechanics, possibilities so the game feels like it was made for release and not just for the jam. The environment is super immersive and soundtrack is lovely.

Well, that’s a interesting play on Sudoku. And it’s not boring, love the code being written slowly in the background!

This game is beautiful! Super immersive experience and great soundtrack!

This game is so well done, so simple and yet so engaging. I love it!

A small suggestion: Add a movement limit so levels can be more challenging.

EDIT: Itch posted my comment twice, deleted first one.

Well it’s easy to get stuck in the wall, but besides that it’s a interesting game to play. Great use of the jam theme!

Very simple but well executed, this was quite fun to play although it gets a bit repetitive after a while.

Celeste was one of the inspirations for my game, I hope you will enjoy it!

Great use of the theme, really engaging game play! My only problem is that R restarts a level and I hit it by accident few times

The game doesn’t look that good, but it’s really fun to play. The mechanics are nicely implemented and they are pretty unique.

Game-play is fantastic for a first game, great job!

The rolling motion is great no need to change it, what I was talking about is more of a movement problem, it kinda feels like the player is on ice and not in control, especially when jumping.

Making it more nimble may solve the problem, I’ll be on a lookout for the updates :D

So simple and yet so good, game-play is simply amazing! All enemies force you to play different, after a while there is just a beautiful chaos going one, love it!

A tutorial would be nice, but when you figure out what controls to use the game is good, only problem I have with it is that one pixel difference between boxes is enough to block the player.

Well this game is not what I expected it to be but in a good way. Game is fantastic to play and quite challenging at times.

This is a bit of a weird game, I’m not sure that I got the point of it :/

I’m kinda sad that game is so short, it’s well made and polished. It really needs more levels and music to be a full game :D

The game needs a tutorial but once you get what you need to do with the bubbles it becomes a very interesting game. Art style is done very nicely.

Well to be honest I didn’t expect to like this game but after a few tries I enjoyed it way too much. Great game!

That’s on purpose :p, skeleton hit box is just small enough so player can jump over them if they want to. I wrote my own player controller and it needs a bit more work so that controls will feel good.

Thanks for complimenting my art style :D

Thanks for taking the time to play my game, Celeste is one of the inspirations for this game and I’m proud to admit that I spend way too much time to fine tune parallax background scrolling :p

There is a mechanic in the game that I under explained, when you are waiting for the Warrior to charge back up, Em can press [c] key on the skeleton remains to cut down on the wait time. Every skeleton adds 3HP, -5s from charge up wait time and increases your attack power by 0.1HP

There is a bug in the game where if you are standing on a slope game starts treating you like you are falling, that blocks the transformation.

Thanks, I worked hard on the pixel art so I’m glad that you like it, The character Warrior was inspired by Madeline from Celeste and Em by Madeline illustrations from Ludwig Bemelmans.

I know that that game is missing music and it really needs it, but as a solo developer my time was stretched so thin already that I forgot to reserve time for a soundtrack :/

Thanks for playing! I wanted to include a better tutorial for the game but I finished this build of the game 30minutes before the deadline, that’s the problem with being a solo developer I guess.

And yes Warrior was inspired by Madeline from Celeste, Em was inspired from Madeline illustrations by Ludwig Bemelmans.

Thanks for not giving up, I ran out of time to include a lot of my ideas for the game. The idea for Em was that she would do quests with the NPC characters.

As for waiting for Warrior to charge back up Em can pickup skeleton remains and cut down wait time when pressing [c] key on a dead skeleton bones.

Thanks for playing, the game was partly inspired by Celeste (If anyone else is reading this go play it, it’s a masterpiece).

“Red Em’s” name is actually Warrior and yeah I ran out of time to include transformation animation, the game needs it but that’s the cost of being a solo developer.

Thanks! There was a lot of fine tuning for animations to feel good so I’m glad that you noticed :)

The game could be fun, but mouse sensitivity makes the game unplayable for me. I tried to play but even a tiny mouse movement spines the player in a random direction.

Super fun to play! I love the minimalist style of the game, only thing that didn’t sit right with me was player movement. It kinda feels slimy and not that in control.

Otherwise it’s a fantastic game, nicely done.

Thanks for playing, the game-play is differently lacing in features, I had a plan to give Em a bigger role but I ran out of time.

Right now the only advantage she has that warrior cannot regain health back so Em regenerates it slowly or gets 3 heal points back when pressing [c] on the skeleton remains.

I really worked hard on the pixel art so it would look good, but as I was only a solo developer not every artwork is mine, like a skeleton sprites for example.

Sorry that this happened, There is only one message that you can easily miss that explains the mechanic.

You need to stand still and hold [x] key for 3 seconds.

And there is a bug where you are on the slope sometimes the game treats you like you are falling and that blocks transition of characters from happening.

Thanks I was afraid that I didn’t explain the link of characters well enough and players won’t know.

I’m glad that you liked how my game looks, I worked hard to make this game look good and I’m very pleased with results.

Thank you for the review, I’m well aware of these problems and they are a cost of being a solo developer as the game was finished to this state with 30minutes left to go.

The character Warrior was actually inspired by Celeste, Em was inspired by Madeline illustrations by Ludwig Bemelmans.

I already wrote this but I know the game is missing music, and I’m not happy about it.. But you know start small and build your way up. This is my first released game, I’m surprised that it actually runs that well :p

Thanks, I worked hard on animations, I love beautiful games and I tried to capture them in this game.

Thanks for playing the game, Celeste was in fact one of the inspirations for the game. Game-play is differently lacking features I had more plans but ran out of time.

Thanks for reminding me, some sprites are not made by me. I’m a solo developer for this game so I couldn’t drawn all art and still finish a game. I will link used sprites in the description for the game.

Still most of the art is my own work so I’m glad that you liked it!

A ship can drift! This game feels like it was made for full release not just for the jam, amazing work!

The screenshots look great, sorry to see that your build is broken. I’ll save this game so I can play it when you can fix the problem :)
