I like the way you interact with the other levels while playing them, really nice idea! Nice job :)

Thank you! :)

Great game! I liked that there were two different view points. The movement felt sometimes a bit strange, but the music was nice, the puzzles fun and I really enjoyed playing the game.

Nice graphics and sound! I love this concept of one side scroller and one top-down, cool idea and nice take on the theme, good job!

I really like the concept of this game. Not only did you guys combine the controls of two characters, but also you actually combined two genres of games, which is very fun to play. What's more, generally speaking, this kind of game where you control multiple characters simultaneously has a problem of multitasking, but you use a turn-based movement to solve it. Well done. The artwork of this game is simple but it looks pretty good. Overall, this is really a fantastic work for 48 hours!

Thank you for your kind words!

This is a fun puzzle game with a solid difficulty progression. Great job ! I like the enemies that only move when one of the two characters do. It adds a nice layer to the gameplay.

That was really good ! You took the basic "two characters to control" approach, that we can see in so many entries, but with the absolute genius twist of having two different genres ! This is really original, and leads to unique puzzle.

The level design is really good ! I would love to see more levels in a post-jam update to see what you could do with that idea. The sounds were simple, but great and gave the right amount of information.

The turn-based physics are a bit weird at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was really good. You value more the reflexion than the actual "sweaty frame-perfect" execution, that's a good point for a puzzle game =). The only little complain I have about it is that the order of the actions is not intuitive and I got killed in situations that are, for me, not logical. For exemple, in that situation :

I feel like I shouldn't be killed if I walk to the left, since, technically, we both move in the same direction, so it cannot kill me. Once I knew it, I could deal with it, but it was not intuitive ^^.

Overall, this is a very solid entry, good job =) !

Thank you for your kind words and the generous feedback! :)

I really like that time does not advance unless you move one of the mouses, many of these double character ones I have seen had this problem of lost focus, while this one doesnt seem to have that issue

Developer

Thank you, good point!

Really well executed, the puzzles seemed to advance at just the right difficulty level.

This game was great! I've only seen a handful of games where you switch between topdown and platformer mechanics, and even then none of them have it as two separate characters with connected worlds. I had a lot of fun with it, but it was soured a little by two minor issues.

First is that it seems really unfair that the enemies instantly kill you when you're touching them, even when it's fairly obvious that you can move away from them on your turn.

Secondly is the controls for Joe seemed a bit stiff for me? i understand that's because he has to use grid movement like the other mouse, but it still seemed kind of off.

Still, overall the game was great, and I'd love to see it expanded on in the future.

Whoa, thank you for the praise and detailed feedback! Yeah, getting the grasp on how grid and turn-based platforming should work is kinda hard. Glad you liked the game though!

I like how the characters are not just divided into different screens, but the 2 places are connected.

Developer

Thanks!

it's a nice idea to have these screens connected in such a way! good job! i also liked these little mice:)

Finally a new approach to a puzzle-platformer. The puzzle on the left and the platformer on the right. Love it!

Developer

Thanks, glad you like it!

Cute game! I liked the falling objects from one side to another. I really appreciated that reset button, so you could play around with how to plan out what needs to happen.

Thank you!

Good level design! Felt compelled to finish the game even when dying and not knowing you can rewind.

Developer

Thank you! Do you mean restart? We wanted to add rewind/undo option but didn't have time for it, so it's not in the game.

Submitted(+1)

I meant restart the level. I just restarted the whole game 3 times before I found out, because this text for the control was lower and I didn't see it in my screen.

Developer

Oh, okay. Damn.

Really cute and a neat little puzzle game. The wait button was especially a good choice to save frustration!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah, some levels wouldn't have worked without the wait button.

i liked the idea of two different players in different game types interacting with each other to solve puzzles, and the grid-based movement helped give a sense of strategy to each one. the puzzles weren't hard to solve but still felt nice to do so, and some were interesting with how they were laid out, like the one with the enemies falling into the top-down game. nice one :)

Developer

Thank you! :)

I like the concept and very well designed levels.
If I were to change one thing I would add an undo button

Developer

Thanks! We thought about an undo/rewind button, but didn't have time to implement it.

I am impressed by how well thought out some of the levels are (I failed more than a few times while playing), great job.

Developer

Thank you!
