The artstyle is insane! I had fun playing, although I didn't understand what exactly should I do at times xD. I feel like you could add some clues later, I'd love to play it then

Developer

Once the voting is over, we'll push an update that fixes all kinds of stuff people brought up.
This version had to be rough given the limited time, but we'll try to flesh out this game to a proper game when we have the time. Our artist was so inspired, so we will not let this go to waste 👍

Thanks for playing our game!

It's such a mysterious game, beautiful artwork and even though I'm not into puzzle games, yours got me hooked haha well done !

Submitted

You built this from scratch?! Damn, that's seriously impressive.

Developer

Three.js helps a lot by providing a set of tools and math helpers, but we had fun building something bespoke once we narrowed down the core concept! We'll link the git repo in the Itch.io page.

I respect the dedication. By the way, if you get the chance, I'd appreciate if you'd check out our game as well.

Wow this is so eye catching! I love the aesthetics of this.

As a web developer by trade, I applaud your accomplishment in making your game’s engine from TypeScript and Three.js. The art is also lovely, the hub floor reminds me of the Sora’s dreams in Kingdom Hearts!

Absolutely wonderful artwork and aesthetic. In general loved the concept. If you'd like to continue with the project, maybe give the player a better sense of what they are meant to achieve and some feedback on how they are doing. I finished the game opening like only 6 or 7 doors. I had fun figuring things out, but never knew if what I'm doing is correct, am I achieving something, did I break something in the game? Still you should be very proud of yourselves, this is really impressive and fun.

We are working on a post-gamejam update that improves the path and clues a bit yeah. The fact is that they keys dont open stuff for now, they only give the final clue, so it's really misleading, sorry
Thanks for trying it out!

"We created a basic game engine from scratch in TypeScript" Ummmmm I'm so .. intemedated rn

I love the mix with 3D graphics and 2D artwork! I also enjoyed the audio. I think this experience begs for first person controls in my opinion, as to move inside freely in the experience. I wasn't able to enter the room at 12 o'clock for some reason, I clicked everywhere but it didn't work. If you add an "FPS" perspective this would be a great submission, right now is difficult to navigate. There's potential with better controls.

Developer(+1)

In this version the 12th door is always open so maybe you had a bug when opening the doors.
We'll try to add FPS controls, it just wasn't realistic given the time so I went with the basic Orbit Camera

I likeda lot the artstyle !

It was kinda difficult to interact with the dors (sometimes I zoomed on doors that werent the one I clicked on), and even if trial and error is not something that bother me, I didn't manage to grasp how I made progress, and how the things I've done had effects on the world

With more feedback, I think this game can be a great escape game because I like a lot the setting ! Good job !

Great arts! But very uncomfortable control :(

Submitted

Great artwork, its very stunning! The game was a little confusing and I couldn't figure out exactly what I had to do after flipping a lever but such is the nature of puzzle/escape games lol. Awesome work, I'll give it another try after you update the game!

This was an amazing experience through and through

Visuals are definitely the strongest part of the experience

wow these visuals are incredible, really love what my eyes see

Submitted

Very cool visuals. The game does need more feedback like sound effects when interacting or having the cursor change when something can be interacted. I couldn't understand the star hints for the 12th door and I don't really know how I beat the game. The final cutscene was pretty well made.

Really creative idea! The gameplay felt sort of like trial and error, because "you hear a distant click" doesn't really give me any information as to where to look next so it was just repeatedly trying different doors until one opened. But the art is absolutely beautiful and I appreciate all of the detail you mentioned regarding the music engine! I <3 Interactive Audio

One of a kind aesthetic and theme integration really surprised me!
At first I tried to force some wooden doors, ended up seeing nothing, then randomly clicked on 9, saw a pattern, used it and felt sad D:
Then I came back thinking there are multiple endings, so I managed to go through all the rooms and understand the numbers in the text are for the clock, then tried the first stages of emotion, but they weren't fitting 😂. Maybe making the pattern morph through progression until last few minutes where the last one is the only one that fits would block self spoiling :D. But I saw some key doors and I guess you have some work in progress until the final version.

Developer(+1)

Yeah we're trying to improve the player path, this version can be easy if you happen upon the door 9 (that is supposed to reveal the final clue) by chance. Thanks for trying our game!

really like your concept. the art is really good and the music is on point. a few things annoyed me , like the camera getting reset when escaping from doors and the audio cutting out at the same time but i assume you just didnt have enough time to complete it

Developer(+1)

Thanks for trying out our game!
The camera was barebones, so I get you, the reset is rough. We'll improve this.

i will give it a try again whenever you update it :)

Hi! Maybe my brain just isn't made for this kind of gamee..... because I couldn't figure out how to do the constellations or open door 3... The aesthetics were on point! Loved the atmosphere. And the puzzles from what I can tell are at the very least well put together, it's probably not your fault I couldn't figure it out...

I got some bugs with the doors sometimes, and the music broke a few times... I dunno why that happened.

Beautiful art, by the way. It's fantastic.

Developer

I get it, it can be cryptic 😅
The clues for the doors are in the notes on the walls, and the door 3 gives you the final clue.
There is a cinematic if you solve the room 12, if you feel like trying one last time.
Thanks for the feedback, we're solving this for the post-gamejam patch

The art and the audio were great. I loved the visual presentation of the game. I had some issues with the gameplay, randomly clicking doors and also moving between zoomed in camera to zoomed out was not the smoothest experience. Still, the vibe of it and the general presnetation of the game were very well crafted. Great job!

Submitted

Beautiful artwork! Love the atmosphere and the controls worked (although there was some clipping).  I think my one comment is that I wish I didn't have to resort to randomly clicking on doors to see if they're open. Overall cool game!
