Three.js helps a lot by providing a set of tools and math helpers, but we had fun building something bespoke once we narrowed down the core concept! We'll link the git repo in the Itch.io page.

Once the voting is over, we'll push an update that fixes all kinds of stuff people brought up.
This version had to be rough given the limited time, but we'll try to flesh out this game to a proper game when we have the time. Our artist was so inspired, so we will not let this go to waste 👍

Thanks for playing our game!

In this version the 12th door is always open so maybe you had a bug when opening the doors.
We'll try to add FPS controls, it just wasn't realistic given the time so I went with the basic Orbit Camera

We are working on a post-gamejam update that improves the path and clues a bit yeah. The fact is that they keys dont open stuff for now, they only give the final clue, so it's really misleading, sorry
Thanks for trying it out!

Yeah we're trying to improve the player path, this version can be easy if you happen upon the door 9 (that is supposed to reveal the final clue) by chance. Thanks for trying our game!

Thanks for trying out our game!
The camera was barebones, so I get you, the reset is rough. We'll improve this.

I get it, it can be cryptic 😅
The clues for the doors are in the notes on the walls, and the door 3 gives you the final clue.
There is a cinematic if you solve the room 12, if you feel like trying one last time.
Thanks for the feedback, we're solving this for the post-gamejam patch

We definitely have to improve the average path and had more text and confirmations.
*Spoilers* Do you mean you solved the 12th room without any clue ? It's something we'll improve on

Yeah the doors keep rotating by 45deg increments each time you inspect a room, I didn't get to fix it in time haha
We're working on a post-gamejam version with a few fixes, and hopefully we'll flesh out this idea into a proper game soon!

Thanks for trying it out!

I know, I meant that I thought that it would appear like that in-game when you circle an asteroid.

Absolute madness that would make QWOP seem easy in comparison 😂

The interactions complexity is impressive for a gamejam entry, well done

I meant this image, I don't see a "visual confirmation" when I successfully loop an asteroid.

(1 edit)

Really nice spaceship 3D model, I can tell the UI is great even if you didn't get to do all the final assets.
The gameplay is fun, and the progressive tutorial is very cool. The dynamic music based on speed (?) works well.

Best Lap 00:32:50

Edit: Moebius INFINITOOO

The loop detection is really not permissive, so with the speed it's really hard to clear the obstacles. Also I don't see a break confirmation or the lightspeed effect like on the screenshots so maybe this didn't make the cut ?

Cool art however, the whole chalkboard theme is nicely executed.

Really effective puzzle platformer, the levels are the right amount of challenging and the chara-design is simple but efficient since it tells you the purpose of each character. The difficulty ramp-up could be smoother: the 3rd and 4th puzzles require you understand right away how sync your characters.

A Skip All Characters key would be nice, and background music would have been a plus.

Takes a bit to understand how your actions will be replayed in the next round but it's a really cool concept. It could be really frantic if you added a jump or a reflect/shield. Also it's easy to end up in a situation where the round starts and your ghost shoots you in the back, I found it really funny 😅

FPS would have been more complex, so we settled on an Orbit Camera with various Points of Interest.
I understand what you mean, we could have made it more fleshed out or add more clues.

If you're interested, there is a hint in this reply. The ending shows our artist artworks and explains the story.

The gamejam did make us realize this game idea has potential, so we'll definitely flesh this game out when we can.

First, I'll agree that the puzzle is a little cryptic! We rushed to create this game, as you can imagine, since it was a 4 day jam. So the game could do with more guidance.

I'll hint at a few things *spoiler warning*
You do have the correct hunch about acceptance, the trick is to understand how do you do it?
It may be linked to the constellation artworks and what written on it 😁 What they show also exists in another room.

If you're talking about the Room 12, it is supposed to be hard to solve, and the solution is hidden elsewhere. You need to interact with the things in the other rooms and follow the clues. Good luck 👍
