So glad I stumbled across this again! I played this game last week and somehow neglected to give it a rate! Fixing that now.

This is a very unique title and I hope I’m understanding it correctly and doing it justice - I think I am. I didn’t find any kind of “win condition” to this game (although I did reach “.dne ehT”), and mostly treated it as kind of a trippy sandbox to play around and experiment with, so I’m reviewing in in that context.

The artwork and sound design are so cool and play well together. I love the jazzy bass especially. The controls are responsive and the physics of the cube and ball do exactly what you would expect them to. They never get in your way. I had a lot of fun trying things out and learning what effects each object had and how to use them. I would love to see even more functions added to this weird machine.

All in all this is a terrific job that scores major points for its uniqueness. Thank you for sharing!

Here’s my game if you want to check it out. https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-3/rate/572795

Nice game with funny sfx! Had to play a little to understand the objective, but not a problem!

Developer

Thank you!

Gotta be honest. I had no idea what to do for the first like 10 minutes. But once I found out that there are more interaktions to discover I had a pretty great time. Nice game!

Developer

Thank you! I appreciate that you stuck with it!

Really great and unique design!  It was fun to play the gotcha claw game below and watch stuff happening above.  Really innovative ideas!  the pixel art was super clear/clean so easily see all that's happening.  Cool SFX too!  Great job submitting a game to so many jams haha.  Please check out mine if you have not yet.

Thanks a lot! I already checked yours out a week ago, left a rating and some feedback, too!

The controls are pretty straightforward, but I didn't know what to do after that, the goal of the game isn't clear at all. I like the graphical effort you put into the eyes as well as the audio, though. I think this has a lot of potential, if your game explains what to do to the player.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

I was slightly confused about what was happening, I ended up getting the hang of it  (I think) but not sure how I was suppose to win! A tutorial would be good, but you had some really cool mechanics!

Developer

Good pointers, thanks!

I like the way the game feels but I have no idea what I'm doing hahah

Developer

Thanks! You're not alone in that.

Gameplay didn't felt engaging. technical execution was smooth and snappy.

Developer

Thanks for the honest comment!

What a neat experience!  The asymmetric gameplay took a bit of thinking, but with the limited options available to you, I didn't find it impossible to figure out.  I loved the idea of sending things back and forth.  The final bit with the checkerboard box was pretty clever, though that might be the only thing that needs some visual clarification--the portal looks more like a visual effect than an interactable.

Loved the self-made sound effects, too!  Overall very fun and enjoyable to play once you get the coordination down of manipulating both screens.

Developer

You're the second player I know of who figured out what to do with the checkerboard. Thank you for explaining why it was so unintuitive, and for the thorough feedback!

i cant get the purpose of the game. Creative sound design!

Developer

Thanks!

Сan't get what is the purpose of this game, but exploring is an experience too.The audio is unexpected and fun, is it you?

Developer

Thanks! Yes, I did the audio myself.

a weird but fun game, i didn't really know what to do but it was still fun.

Developer

Thanks!

I don't know what to do until I found some bug and make a "?" symbol. It's a fun experience to discovery my own way to play this game.

Developer

Thanks! Glad you found good use for that bug.

this game is weird in a good way, i just wanted to know what i really need to do.

i managed to get the checker pattern cube , but wasn't able to continue.

i liked it!

Great Job :)

Strange little game. Part of me wishes for more direction on what I should be doing but another part of me really likes the weird experimentation. I think if this concept was developed a little more it would make for a fun little puzzle game. Well done!

Developer

Thank you!

I agree with deepdreams's opinion.

I don't understand what the goal actually is, but the experimental game is more about trying things out and look what will happen.

Moreover, I don't know how hard it is to program a game in "Construct 3" and what assets you could have used for it. Nevertheless, you created all stuff by your own and that's a plus.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The "all assets" mention is mostly due to the rules of another jam I submitted this game to ("credit all assets, including ones you made yourself").

Submitted(+1)

Good but little bit confusing. And i didn't hear the music so i think there is maybe problem on my Computer or something. But nice Game:))

Developer

Thanks! I'll have to take a look at the audio levels.

Love experimental stuff like this. It was alot of fun to see what stuff can be done. Great job!

Developer

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
