This game is facinating and weird but I struggle to see the point of the game. there is no goal that the player is trying to achieve. you just kinda click and hope something happens and that just isn't what a good game should be in my opinion. I don't wan't to sound to harsh theres plenty to like here. The artstyle is cute and unique and the music is perfect but I just don't enjoy those things as much when theres no apparent objective or purpose for playing the game. maybe there is a goal and I just couldn't figure it out. if thats the case then just make the goal more apparent so idiots like me don't get frustrated or confused. Hope that helps.

Developer

Thank you for the honest feedback! The game is meant more as a digital toy to play with, but I didn't have much time to add stuff to it. There is no strict goal, but there is an ending. If you want a defined goal, you could say it's to "break the game" by reversing the deliveries.

Nice game😁 Awesome. At the begin a little bit confusing. Please give my game a look

Developer

Thanks!

Very cool.  I love your creative ideas here with the dual gameplay layers.  The thing I wish was there was a kind of goal or something the player had to achieve.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Well the game seems to be confusing.. What to do Instruction is unclear - (u can update the description). Because of this I was not able to Understand game (I am noob) -_-).

-Good work on SFX and Music

Is it a Co-op Game ?? Reason why I am confused is one can pick up some stuff from bottom and other can move stuff above.. Still Confused -- Can you share a small instruction here if possible? Would love to try your game again.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The game can be played alone or with a friend.

Hard to give hints without providing a full walkthrough...In the lower dimension, you noticed you can drop the boxes in the "pockets" that appear?

In the upper dimension, try testing if different objects interact with each other, including objects that aren't always there. The idea is mostly to experiment with things and see what happens.

I have seen a few cases where the big eye doesn't interact with the object it's supposed to. This is a bug! :( You may have to try several times for it to work.

Sure. Will try the game again.

Thanks for adding two extra words to the review! ;)

I couldn't figure out what to do with the checkerboard pattern squares. But the graphics and sound design are nice!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! You needed to reverse the sequence.

Submitted(+1)

Now I understand.

I like the strange game idea. You are constantly curious what would happen next when you do this or that with the boxes. The graphics are also fine and consistent. Cool experience!

Developer

Thank you!

Thanks! Spam messages are a huge turn-off for me though. Sorry.

Fun to try and work out what the heck was going on

Developer

Thanks!

What did I just play?  That was strange and oddly satisfying :-D

Is there an ultimate purpose?  Can you have too many eyes or too many balls?  Will the dimension ever fill up?  Should I have continued playing to see if there were items other than boxes to grab?

All these questions ... and more ... will probably never be answered.

Perhaps, that's what it's all about.

:-)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the philosophy! There are more interactions and an ending, but it's okay.

Submitted(+1)

Ah, cool.  I'll get back on it.

Aha!  .dnE ehT  Nice one.  I also like the umop apisdn text at the end.

Sorry I didn't stick with it a bit longer the first time.  I think that it's saved my new, improved rating :-)

Developer(+1)

Wow, thanks for the new rating and sticking with it! I appreciate it.

So glad I stumbled across this again! I played this game last week and somehow neglected to give it a rate! Fixing that now.

This is a very unique title and I hope I’m understanding it correctly and doing it justice - I think I am. I didn’t find any kind of “win condition” to this game (although I did reach “.dne ehT”), and mostly treated it as kind of a trippy sandbox to play around and experiment with, so I’m reviewing in in that context.

The artwork and sound design are so cool and play well together. I love the jazzy bass especially. The controls are responsive and the physics of the cube and ball do exactly what you would expect them to. They never get in your way. I had a lot of fun trying things out and learning what effects each object had and how to use them. I would love to see even more functions added to this weird machine.

All in all this is a terrific job that scores major points for its uniqueness. Thank you for sharing!

Here’s my game if you want to check it out. https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-3/rate/572795

Nice game with funny sfx! Had to play a little to understand the objective, but not a problem!

Developer

Thank you!

Gotta be honest. I had no idea what to do for the first like 10 minutes. But once I found out that there are more interaktions to discover I had a pretty great time. Nice game!

Developer

Thank you! I appreciate that you stuck with it!

Really great and unique design!  It was fun to play the gotcha claw game below and watch stuff happening above.  Really innovative ideas!  the pixel art was super clear/clean so easily see all that's happening.  Cool SFX too!  Great job submitting a game to so many jams haha.  Please check out mine if you have not yet.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks a lot! I already checked yours out a week ago, left a rating and some feedback, too!

The controls are pretty straightforward, but I didn't know what to do after that, the goal of the game isn't clear at all. I like the graphical effort you put into the eyes as well as the audio, though. I think this has a lot of potential, if your game explains what to do to the player.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

I was slightly confused about what was happening, I ended up getting the hang of it  (I think) but not sure how I was suppose to win! A tutorial would be good, but you had some really cool mechanics!

Developer

Good pointers, thanks!

Submitted(+1)

I like the way the game feels but I have no idea what I'm doing hahah

Developer

Thanks! You're not alone in that.

Gameplay didn't felt engaging. technical execution was smooth and snappy.

Developer
