Really cool idea to have the rewind feature change your characters evolution, nice to have a bit of a narrative going on as well! Visual are clean. Great job :)

Cool idea, I like how the light cones change to fit in with the walls. Only issues is the controls are a bit "slippery", I sometimes struggled to make it around a corner as I could just glide passed it, but other really good!

I really wanted to add fire arrows but I ran out of time! Thanks for playing :)

A really unique idea and really good for 3 hours :)

One issue I had is that on some levels I couldn't reach the blue platform after I jumped which made it feel less satisfying. But overall very good :)

The concept is really good and I feel that it is almost there but it is missing something.

Mainly, you get so little time with the light on that when I manage to find the light bulb, it feels more like luck rather than skill. I would either increase the timer slightly or allow the player to rotate the light to face the cursor :) Good job!

Pretty cool game, and nice that you got it all done in the three hours. The only issue I had was not realising I could use the light at a range (I thought I had to be right on top of it) so I got confused for a bit, but I worked it out in the end :P Great job!

It is amazing what you managed to get done in three hours! Very fun and could make quite a good hyper casual style game. My only complaint is the lack of a "isGrounded" grace period. When you walk of an edge you should give a small window where you can still jump (like 0.2 seconds), this would make the controls feel much more responsive and less frustrating while keeping the challenge!

This is really cool! The game feels very polished and the art work is very nice!

My only issue is using E to swap the lights on/off, it is a bit difficult at first as it is so close to WASD, but once I got the hang of it, it was fine :P

Would like to see some more levels!

Really great project. Obviously for this to be a full game you will need multiple maps and maybe upgrades for the towers, but for a Jam game this is a great portfolio piece that you should definitely continue with!

Some general ideas to improve the base game would be:

The ability to click on the towers and be able to remove them.

Improve how you handle playing sound (10 lazers all going at the same time is a but much :P)

Really great job, keep it up!

Love the graphics and the inverted effect in the "xray" mode. It was a little confusing at first but I think I got the hang of it for a while :P Also interesting to see in your pictures that you use Rhino for modelling, don't see that used in games much! Good job!

The art style is cool but I feels that this is not really a game almost some kind of interactive visual novel? I see others have pointed out the portrait issue as well. But good job!

I really get what you where trying to go for but it feels like you ran out of time. I was able to just click assign with no workers and fix the pot holes all game until it just timed out. But, the art is very nice and if you had more time it could have been great!

Quite difficult! But the overall concept is good, the art work is nice and the controls are smooth. Good job!

Quite an interesting puzzley take on a golf style game that adds a bit of challenge with the moving walls. Pretty good given only one week!

Love games like this! I would have liked to make something similar!

Great art work, music and sound effects fit perfectly, the controls are responsive. The addition of a nice little dialogue system is great! Really great job!

Really nice game, great music and use of sound effects! The art style is simple but with some great use of particles which match the audio well. The overall concept of the game is quite simple but very unique and can be challenging! Great Job!

The concept of the game is great, but it feels like you went a bit too big for the time we had which left the game feeling quite unpolished and in some cases buggy.  When the game is playing smoothly though, it can be quite fun :) Good job!

Great art work! Definitely one of the more unique concepts ive seen in this Jam! Really great job!

Cool concept, the UI could do with some work and I starting text is a bit slow but the game its sefl has a lot of promise :)

Nice simple "avoid the stuff" game :) The art is nice and so is the music, although the music dosnt fit with the rest of the game. Great job!

Nice looking game, music is is nice and chip tuney! I was a little confused even with the instruction on the page but once I got the hang of it was fun :)

Cool take on snake, use to love playing it on the old nokia phones and I still find it strangely fun! Good job :)

Awesome platforms with some great SFX, the controls feel great and responsive. Ofc it would have been nice for the platforms themselves to have some kind of visual appeal rather than just boxes but really great job for a weeks work!

I was slightly confused about what was happening, I ended up getting the hang of it  (I think) but not sure how I was suppose to win! A tutorial would be good, but you had some really cool mechanics!

Great use of negative space! Love the whole concept of swapping between white/black black/white!

The controls could do with some work, the double jump is a little clunky and the UI is during the cutscene parts can be a bit janky. But otherwise really great!

Seriously impressive for a weeks worth of work! I love how you move between the game searching for clues, then into the folder to connect them and find out new information! Like any jam game it needs some polish but definitely continue with it!

Loving the retro 2d on 3d art style! reminds me of the old Final Fantasy games!  Great game!

Great little puzzle game, quite challenging sometimes and the digging mechanic is interesting! Great work!

Really beautiful take on the theme with lovely visuals. Could be an amazing walking sim with a refined story! Great work!

Love the bright colours and trippy effects you have going on, makes it feel quite immersive! Controls are good, but I think it might benefit from the option to use the mouse instead of arrow keys (drag the mouse to turn). Really great game though!

(1 edit)

I see your a fan of Sebastian Lague on youtube and this is a nice take on his submarine demo. The flight controls are very satisfying! Good job :) I use a similar technique in my game to allow me to deform terrain at runtime :)

Very cool idea! There is some work to be done on the UI and the timer / scoreboard, but one of the most unique ideas on here! Awesome!

Thanks for playing! Yeah the how to play thing was a bit last minute, I was also developing this on a 28 inch monitor, so the text was very clear for me haha! I was debating how best to approach the game, as I ended up with this time trial idea, I thought it best to have it in a way that means player have to practice and get better at dealing with the gravity but I did want to add a grapple/rope mechanic that I didn't get around to!

The digging was the main thing I wanted to get working, it is quite a complex combination of a marching cube algorithm split across multiple threads each of which are handling calls to compute shaders so that it can regen the mesh fast enough, so that took up most of my time :)

One of the more unique takes on the theme! The art style matches the overall feel of the game! some more visual indicators would be good (maybe selected location on the person instead of a drop down?). Overall good job!

Good job! I started out at 13 as well, now I am 23 and still going, so keep it up! The mechanics are fun and challenging and overall quite well made!
