5 stars for innovative gameplay and level design. I had super fun. Keep going at all costs.

A pretty well done skill based game!

The main mechanic of this game is very simple, yet innovative. You move your character, by leaping from wall to wall. There are also many types of hazards and interactive objects that you can encounter: samurais, saws, vases, patches of grass, and many more. Levels are well designed and very unique! They not only differ in layout, but also in objectives: sometimes you need to poison the well, sometimes you have to kill everyone on the map, and sometimes you just need to get straight to the exit.

I very much enjoyed the gameplay! It progressively got harder, some levels were really challenging but still fair, and the leaping mechanic was very fun to play with! Although, even tho the game was beatable, beating your record scores has proven to be an impossible task for me.

The graphics, as well as sounds, are also good! The pixelart sprites, alongside backgrounds, are really simple, but they get the job done. What I really liked in the audiovisual side of this game though, was music! Each of the eight tracks, sound nice (with my favorite being Wingman and Wooly Wanderer Remix), and fit the pace as well as the looks of this game very well! I also appreciate the addition of choosing the color of the ninja, the background, and the track to play.

I must say, that this is a really well made game, that has solid and hard gameplay, nice graphics, and even better soundtrack! And also, the leaping mechanic fits the theme well, so kudos for that!

Thanks for the feedback!  I hate level design and love coding new mechanics, so that's why every level is so different.  Almost all of them have a new feature or something to learn about.

I'm glad to hear you thought some of the levels were challenging but fair.  It is always a little tricky to determine these things because I ended up playing it so much that I got pretty good.

I enjoyed the music also!  Each one (except Shinobi) was created for one of our previous games together and it was fun to put them in and listen to them again.

Fun game! Music is absolutely atrocious :)

I think you misspelled awesome.

Music is really well made, like the rest of the game. I just don't think it suits a puzzle game like this. Maybe you could try Zen music :)

that's not what you said the first time >:( take it back

Very good. Reminds me of https://js13kgames.com/entries/back-attacker

Great job!

Really fun game, I'm glad to see how it turned out! I had to abandon the last 2 levels because I'd have spent my entire day on it. The voice effects get annoying quickly, but the music is awesome!

Developer

Thanks!  I had a lot of fun making it and enjoyed the chatting and mutual encouragement in the Discord!

This is a super fun game and it's cool to see it done in Phaser. I really dig the music too. Took me a few tries to beat some of the last levels. I almost gave up but ended up getting through them all. Really nice job with this. Here's my results (only beat you on level 15 and 22!):

I really enjoyed what I was able to play. Unfortunately I struggled to get far by using just the trackpad on my laptop (I really wanted to play more).

The game is simple but you did a very good job of mixing things up with the different types of goals ('reach the flag while staying silent' etc).

The graphics are perfect for this kind of game, keeping things clean and allowing the player to focus on what's important. Good animations really gave the movements and actions a satisfying feel too.

Nice work.

Thoroughly enjoyed! Especially the warping mechanism, where'd you think that one up ;)

Awersome game I enjoyed it ,  what I disliked was the fact that after you die in a lvl it takes you back to the levels menu, it makes more sens to me to automatically resart the level when you die without requiring you to press r

This game is so good !!!

Really fun jumping around. A very innovative game. Is there a full screen option so I don't keep clicking outside the window?

Developer

Yeah, clicking outside the window is the most annoying part of the whole thing.  I used Phaser to build it and it has a mouse lock feature but it changes how the mouse works so unfortunately I can't just turn it on.  I was thinking about going back and implementing it and releasing this on other platforms like Newgrounds and Kongregate.

This is super fun! It's really fun to jump around  and the variety of objectives and levels all bring really interesting scenarios. Felt a bit tough to get those precise jumps you want but looking at your gifs I guess you can really get used to it. Also wish it restarted faster/there was a way to restart faster since I'm bad and die so much lol. I didn't really like the long (compared to how fast paced the game is) death just to get kicked into the level select screen when I just wanted to try the same level again.

thanks!  You can press R to restart the level any time or M to get back to the menu. I included that in the game description but I should get it into the game somewhere so it is more obvious. Thanks for the feedback!

I really liked your game! It was fun to jump around and the gameplay style led to a lot of cool things happening that I didn't expect! However, the controls can be a little finicky at times, especially when going you're going straight right, left, up, or down (Like climbing up and down walls). I fought with the controls a bit, but still had loads of fun!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!  The climbing mechanism really is just a physics oddity where you tunnel into the wall for a frame and get pushed back out in a single frame.  I was going to restrict jumping to 180 degrees away from the surface you are clinging to but there were a couple times where I wanted to be able to jump around a corner on a near miss, so I left it in.  That might have been a mistake since you and some other people mentioned it.  :)
