Man, I totally loved the art style, great job!
The played could move a little faster. As we don't know right away where to look, being that slow was driving me crazy :D
I really wish the was audio, if you intent to make another or bigger version, please add audio to it, it's already have a great atmosphere, with audio would make it great!
Great job :D
Yes the visuals are quite impressive, but it's important to have visuals that support the gameplay, especially in a point and click. There wasn't much indication of what to do/where to go, nor was anything particularly distinguishable. With some hefty polish and extra feel elements it has good potential.
You've made something that's beautiful to look at. Very nice warm and fuzzy style.
Sadly the gameplay didn't quite work out so well for me. The character felt way too slow and the absense of any sound only highlighted how boring the waiting time between walking from place to place was.
Finding the key under the doormat felt sort of unnecessary since there were pretty much no hints at it and it turned into quite the tedious pixel hunt that almost made me give up. It's kind of funny because if I read the dialogue correctly, it seems like you're well aware of this and still put it in haha.
I think that's sort of unfortunate because at the heart of your game lies a really quite fascinating interpretation of the theme - that the systems of gambling are intentionally broken for players so the gambling companies can cash in on their addiction. Really interesting take here! It's just kind of hindered by the things I've mentioned above, in my opinion.
Not trying to shoot you down or anything. I just hope that this feedback can help you with your future projects :)
The art of the game is beautiful, a game that I really enjoyed playing.
I really love the graphics of this game, they're just beautiful.
Your art is stunning! I really adore it! I only believe that the character is very slow, and the mechanic took a while to understand but I liked it! Congratulations! If have a time check my game. I will be glad!
beautiful game! i really enjoyed the art and the focus around addiction. the character slowness was a bit frustrating and after messing around with the machine for a while i gave up (didn't know what 10, 30, or 40 meant) but it's a cool concept with an interesting puzzle that i've never encountered before! so good job on that :)
Could not find a key, luckily it has a video in a comments. Good job.
Some sounds and faster movement would be good here.
Wow, the art style was super cool and gives a fresh and original tone to the game. Very interesting submission, good job! :)
Loved the art work, really nice! The players movement was really slow, could be faster. Couldn't figure out how to break the slot machine, though the blue guy said "Looks like you've done it".
This was an okay game , the visual where amazing for a game jam i love how it look like a painting , the game was a bit slow but this was still neat
I got lost at the start, was a bit too hard to pick it up at first but after a while I got it. The character is too slow in my opinion but over all I had fun playing it, the visuals are really good too, you drew it all? Good job! :D
I was a bit lost. Maybe it's just because I'm not used to these point-and-click games, but looking for the key at the beginning seemed strangely difficult. I'm not sure if I happened to miss hints or something for it. Eventually I was able to stumble across it and go on to beat the game. I think it wouldn't hurt to bump up the movement speed a bit as well. I don't want to end this review on a negative note tho.
The visuals were very nice, they had a nice style and were somewhat simple yet charming. The dialogue was well written and the fact that the characters were just colors (and were named after those colors) was pretty neat and creative.
I couldn't figure out how to get the key for the slotmachine. Why doesn't the bartender have the key or tell me where it is. Anyway, the art looks really unique; sort of like an oil painting. However, the character moves so freaking slow, that I just don't want to play the game. It would also be great if you add some sfx's and music.
